Chapter : 34; Entrepreneurship Discussion
21/01/1997
The crisp morning air carried the aroma of freshly brewed tea as Animesh and his five friends gathered once again under the sprawling peepal tree in his lawn.
A new day brought a new topic of discussion. This time, Animesh had a plan in mind that could not only benefit his friends but also contribute to the nation's growth.
As they sipped tea, Animesh leaned forward, his expression serious yet inviting. "Guys, I've been thinking about something. You all, Why don't you consider starting your own companies?"
The group fell silent for a moment, exchanging glances. Priyanshu Kumar was the first to break the silence. "Wait, you mean, like... becoming entrepreneurs? But how?"
Animesh smiled. "Exactly. That's the point. You're at the perfect stage to start something fresh. The country needs innovative minds in every field, and who better than my closest friends? I'll provide you with the backing you need—financial, strategic, and even policy support where necessary. But I want you all to enter different fields so you don't end up competing with each other. Instead, you'll complement each other and help the nation grow."
Badal raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "Different fields? Like what? Do you already have something in mind for each of us?"
Animesh nodded. "I've given it some thought. For instance, Arnav, you're already working with ISRO. Why not venture into technology and innovation? Start a company focusing on aerospace technology or advanced computing. You could be at the forefront of India's tech revolution."
Arnav leaned back, considering the idea. "That's... ambitious but also money burning. But interesting. With your support, it might actually be doable."
Animesh turned to Priyanshu Shekhar. "Shekhar, you've always had a knack for logistics and management. The country desperately needs efficient supply chain systems. Why not establish a company focusing on logistics and warehousing? With the infrastructure we're building, there's going to be a massive demand for streamlined operations."
Shekhar tapped his chin thoughtfully. "Hmm. Logistics sounds promising. And with the new freight corridors coming up, the timing couldn't be better."
Next, Animesh looked at Ashish. "Ashish, your expertise in medicine and healthcare is invaluable. Why not start a healthcare company? It could focus on affordable diagnostics, hospital management, or even pharmaceutical research. The country needs better healthcare infrastructure."
Ashish nodded slowly. "I've always wanted to do something beyond just practicing medicine. If I could contribute to improving healthcare accessibility, that would be fulfilling."
Then, Animesh turned to Badal. "Badal, you've always been passionate about agriculture and rural development. How about a company that focuses on modernizing agriculture? From farm-to-market supply chains to sustainable farming techniques, you could revolutionize the sector."
Badal grinned. "Agriculture, huh? I like the sound of that. The villages need someone to bring them into the modern era. Count me in."
Finally, Animesh faced Priyanshu Kumar. "Kumar, you're a natural when it comes to creativity and communication. The entertainment and media industry in India is booming. Start a company in media production, digital content creation, or even a publishing house. You could be the voice of a modern, progressive India."
Kumar laughed. "Media? You think I have the face for it?"
The group chuckled, but Kumar's laughter faded into a thoughtful expression. "You know what, Animesh? That might actually work. I've always loved storytelling. Maybe this is my chance to create something meaningful."
---
The conversation deepened as Animesh elaborated on his vision. "Listen, guys. This isn't just about you or me. It's about creating an ecosystem. Just think, if Arnav's tech company could work with Shekhar's logistics firm to optimize supply chains. Badal's agricultural advancements could be marketed and managed through Kumar's media firm. Ashish's healthcare innovations could be transported through Shekhar's networks and supported by Arnav's technology. Everything connects."
Ashish whistled. "That's a big vision, Animesh. But how do we start? None of us has experience running a business."
Animesh nodded. "That's where I come in. I'll provide initial funding and mentorship. Plus, I'll connect you with experts in your respective fields. And remember, as Prime Minister, I can ensure policies that foster innovation and entrepreneurship. But this isn't a handout. You'll need to put in the work, take risks, and build something real."
Badal leaned forward, excitement in his eyes. "Alright, I'm in. If there's one thing I've learned from you, Animesh, it's that no dream is too big."
One by one, the others nodded in agreement, the spark of ambition lighting up their faces.
---
The conversation soon shifted to brainstorming names for their future companies, ideas flying fast and loose as laughter punctuated the discussions.
"I'll call mine Green Horizon Agriculture," Badal declared proudly.
"Sounds like a resort," Kumar teased.
"Better than Digital Dream Productions," Badal shot back with a grin.
The banter continued, but beneath the playful jabs lay a shared excitement. They were stepping into uncharted territory, but with Animesh's support and their collective determination, anything seemed possible.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a golden glow over the lawn, Animesh looked around at his friends and smiled. "This is just the beginning. Together, we're going to change this country. One step at a time."
The others raised their tea cups in a toast, a sense of purpose and unity binding them. "To the future!"
Hahah....all of them laughed.
Just after talking like this, Priyanshu Shekhar stopped and said why don't we consider some competition between us?"
"What type of competition between us?" Ashish asked seriously, Animesh also joined in this.
"Uhh.... I think, we should all compete with us and let's see, who would be able to grow their own companies, if you want to open it?" Shekhar paused for a moment and then said, to compete.
"Yo...this is unfair...you are a student of MBA, we are science and medical students, where do we get there knowledge of the business?" Badal retorted, in their Badal and Priyanshu Kumar has the best competitiveness in their group.
Yes....yes....! others also followed the same.
"Yes, this is indeed fair but if you want to you should be best in your own field." At this time, Animesh intervened in this. He also know every field is different and it has different money levels. So they can't compete with the other friends, that why hebsaid them to be good and top in their own field.
"Well, okay....this is indeed, right." Everyone's expression was serious.
