The events and settings are entirely in a parallel world, distinct from reality:

Yaaaaw...!
"Where the fuck am I?" A man in his twenties woke up in a daze, looked around, and found himself confused.
The last thing he could remember was working on the engine of the first fifth-generation aircraft developed by his country in 2024, after developing the 4.5th generation aircraft, Tejas.
But looking around, he saw that the buildings had an old style, with a fan hanging from the ceiling and a flickering tube light. For a moment, he was utterly confused about where he had ended up. However, looking at the style of the tube light and the fan, which were branded Usha, an old company, he grew more suspicious.
Damn...! Did I reincarnate into another world or a parallel world? He scratched his head in confusion. He didn't know what to do now and couldn't even remember his memories clearly.
"Ding."
The system is online...!
Detecting host's condition: health, body.
"Normal. Breathing is normal. It's just that there is a deficiency in the host's brain. System is repairing it."
Repairing... 1%... 10%... 50%... 99%... 100%.
After some time, he was in a trance when he saw a blue holographic panel appear in front of him.
What the fuck is this? Wait, did I hear a system? Then he saw the data panel with his name on it.

Wait a minute...! Looking at the data, Animesh was shocked. He didn't know anything about politics, and where the hell was he? He had ended up in a parallel world, and what's more, it was 1996—and he was about to be appointed as a puppet Prime Minister of India?
He couldn't believe it. In the original timeline, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee became the Prime Minister of India, but the government fell in just thirteen days. But now, had he replaced him?
Just as he was about to think further, a sharp pain hit his mind, as if a flood of memories were pouring into his head.
---
The fusion of memories was unbearable for Animesh. For a minute, it felt like he was trapped in hell, his mind drowning in endless agony, and he could no longer resist the powerlessness of that feeling. Fortunately, after what felt like an eternity, the pain subsided.
New memories began to surface—memories of countless assembly meetings, decisions being made, and policies being passed. He saw himself working closely with Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee. But with the government collapsing so suddenly and Vajpayee falling ill, Animesh had been identified as a young, talented politician who could temporarily take over. The government had decided to make him the Prime Minister of India, though only as a puppet for their own agenda.
But surprisingly, this didn't dampen Animesh's mood. In fact, as he glanced at the system, a small smile formed on his face. Become the Prime Minister of India? Sure. As for being a puppet? Heh, once he controlled 75% of the members of parliament, the government would be in his hands.
He was free for the moment, but that didn't mean he didn't have work to do.
"Aman... come here...!" Suddenly, he heard his mother calling him.
"Ahh...!" For a brief moment, he felt strange hearing someone call him by his nickname from his previous life.
He got up and walked to where his parents were seated. His father, Raghav Yadav, and his mother, Sarita Devi, looked at him with a mix of concern and pride.
Both of them wanted to say something but hesitated before his father finally spoke. "Aman, you'll become the Prime Minister of India next Monday. But remember, son, to keep a sense of responsibility. Don't force yourself too much in managing the government. Others will take care of most of it."
Hearing his father's words, Animesh paused and smiled. "Father, they want me to be the puppet Prime Minister of India, thinking they can control me because I'm young. But don't worry. Since they don't want to hold elections again, I'll take full advantage of this opportunity. I'll truly become the Prime Minister of India—on my own merits in the next term. Just support me from behind."
Both his parents, seasoned members of parliament themselves, understood what he was saying. They knew their son was about to step into a role where he would initially be used, but they also saw the potential for him to seize control in the future. Despite knowing the challenges ahead, they were secretly relieved that, at the very least, their son would be Prime Minister.
That evening, the family shared a quiet meal, and afterward, Animesh retreated to his room.
Lying on his bed, staring at the ceiling fan slowly spinning above, an array of emotions flickered across his face. No one could tell what was going on inside his head. The weight of his newfound responsibilities, the strange world he had found himself in, and the possibilities of what he could achieve all swirled in his mind.
After a while, he sat up and reached for the telescope in his room. Despite being in this new world, he still had the same academic background—a graduate of IIT Bombay, with a degree in aviation engineering. The telescope reminded him of his love for the skies, his passion for aerospace, and how he had once dreamed of shaping the future of aviation in his original world.
Now, though, his ambitions were far greater.
After, taking the telescope and looking in the vast sky, there was smile on his face filled with the uncertainty.
He glanced at the system and asked in his heart.
"System, can I travell back to my own world, ever?"
The system still didn't replied to him.
