Is this someone I shouldn't worry about?
Are you fucking kidding me? She's a goddamn model!
She stood tall, with her head held high and a dazzling smile on her face. With her towering height, she would roughly be 178 cm, if I guessed correctly. She owned the carpet, and she knew it!
Her sexy long legs already posed for the cameras, and her sharp jaw twitched as her beautiful cat eyes with bright silver orbs roamed the area. She flipped her amazing golden hair as she took another pose.
What the hell should I not be worried about? I'm practically on the verge of shitting myself, no joke!
I think she's the goddess of the moon I've always been reading about, but she's come down to earth this time, and she takes the form of who else but Reiss's only on-and-off ex-girlfriend? What a disappointment.
Who can win against the goddess of the moon, huh? Tell me? No wonder Reiss kept her a bit longer.
I feel a bit intimidated by her in that naked red dress. That wicked slit on the left reaching her hip bone, that dangerously deep V neck reaching her tummy, the opened back...
The way that dress couldn't decide what assets to show off The side boobs and all.
Heck, if I had that amazing body, I would want to show it off too. Every damn day, in fact!
The way reporters swarmed around her just to get a glimpse of her beauty, I bet they must be angry that I came from nowhere and broke these two up. And it makes me wonder...
Why didn't he marry her instead?
I felt a slight tug on my waist, and I saw Reiss looking at me with dead eyes. I immediately averted his gaze and walked with him into the building.
I must have stared for way too long, and it pissed him off real bad.
"Sorr-"
"Save it!" He gritted his teeth.
This time, I admit it's my fault. I just changed to a not-concerned look as we walked into the building. We were around the press, by the way, so if he was trying so much to conceal his anger towards me, then I should do the same and conceal my jealousy.
Is it jealousy?
Definitely not; probably envy. Yes, I meant to say envy.
And I need to act like a bitch boss also; this is my night as well as anyone else's, so no one is going to ruin that for me.
Suddenly Solomon appeared in front of us, holding a beautiful brunette, who was looking stunning in a white sheer dress, in his hands. I didn't realise he would arrive sooner since he had to leave us and go pick her up, or maybe they just met here.
"Hey!" Solomon greeted me as he stole Reiss from my arms.
"Hi," the brunette said to me. Although she had a smile on her face, the way she said it just screamed, "Who even let you in here, piece of trash?"
So I instantly disliked her, but I could play friendly and act like I didn't sense the negative vibes.
"Hey! BTW, you look beautiful! I'm definitely going to steal that when you're not looking," I laughed.
"Oh!" She seemed taken aback by my compliment.
"Thanks!" she blushed. "You look beautiful, too. Honestly, since this is your first gala, I've never seen anyone look so ready to own it." She smiled.
Maybe she's not as bad as I thought.
"Thank you. My name's Freya." I pulled out a hand.
"Rose," she smiled as she took it.
Warning...
Business mode is activated!
I smiled. "I've seen you on TV one time; your dad has a big company, right?"
She chuckles.
"Yeah, dad. Everyone just talks about him like he's the only self-made billionaire." She rolls her eyes.
Yeah, well, other than looks, I don't see what you've got going on for you.
But I can't say that to her, can I?
"But you're the daughter of a billionaire; how is that not to your advantage?" I chuckle
"Yeah, it's nice at first, but then, when you get older and you're trying to make a name for yourself, people don't really take you seriously. Especially when your ideas are in contrast with your father's line of work."
Oh true...
"Like me, I'm into fashion. I went to one of the best fashion schools abroad, and I just got back. I'm trying to start something, but without the help of my father, I'm looking for investors. Honestly, that's the major reason I'm here. I feel bad for using Solomon to score a ticket here, but he doesn't mind." She turns to look at the two gentlemen we came with, who were conversing with other people of importance.
"You know what? I like you, and I've got sort of a deal for you. I know I'm not a big shot around here, but I've got a business plan and all I need is publicity, so hear me out."
"Okay," she nods, even though I could sense the uncertainty in her voice.
"I do jewellery; pearls are like the main selling commodity right now, and it could really hit the market if I had a beautiful celebrity like you putting on one of these," I said as I showed her my wrists.
"So what's in it for me?" She asked more seriously.
"Like I said, partnership. You could be my brand ambassador, and I could literally pull out some funds for your fashion line. Just say, "Whenever and however, you'll get it whenever you need it."
Oh, am I kidding? I don't even have a million yen in my pocket! But I need her to say a big yes!
"I like the way you speak, Freya. You've won me over, and since funds won't be a problem, maybe you could become a shareholder in my company. We'll get to that later." She smirked
"Deal?" I smile
"Women supporting women, bish," she smirked as we shook hands.
Wow! That went well, wow... Rich young people are so easy to sway, though. I was ready to put up a fight.
But thank God she said yes; at least now I just have to worry about those funds I promised, and I think she needs a lot of them.
"Ladies, I see you guys are getting along," Solomon said as he pulled his date
"Let's go take our seats, shall we?" Reiss whispered as he held me, making my whole body instantly light up.
He needs to give me a memo before touching me, seriously.
"Oh, if it isn't Reiss Sukuna," a female voice said from behind me.
I turned around to see Miss Moon Goddess with a sweet smile on her face, as her gaze was clearly fixated on Reiss.
I immediately got this bad feeling in my stomach as I watched her lick her lips and shamelessly ogle my husband.
Wait...
Did I just call Reiss my husband?
