The room emptied out, leaving only Magnus, Fergus, and Regan standing in the dimly lit chamber. The weight of the night still hung heavily in the air, but Magnus appeared calm, his sharp features unreadable as always. Fergus leaned casually against a nearby pillar, his smirk still lingering, while Regan's face showed a mix of curiosity and disbelief.
Regan stepped closer to Magnus, his voice low but steady. "So, you're the new Capo? You took over after Lorenzo Moretti's death?"
Magnus nodded without hesitation. "Yes. The former Capo entrusted me with this position before his death. But it's temporary. I'm only here for a purpose—handling Klaus and Peter. Once that's done, I'm walking away. I've gotten everything I want out of this life. There's nothing left for me here."
Regan studied Magnus's face, searching for something, but Magnus's expression gave nothing away. "Walking away?" Regan repeated, almost to himself. "From all this?"
