Valerie adjusted her tailored blazer as she strode confidently into the Dark Moon Pack council room. She had exciting news to share with her father, Alpha Gregory, and her brother Zane about her school, but the moment she entered, she sensed something was off.
Her father stood at the head of the large oak table, his arms crossed as he spoke with a group of sharply dressed individuals. They were presenting documents and gesturing enthusiastically toward him. Gregory's face, etched with concentration, betrayed his curiosity and wariness.
