DUNGEON
The dungeon was damp and cold, with a faint stream of sunlight filtering through a crack in the wall that served as a poor excuse for a window. Selene sat on the cold stone floor, her wrists and ankles bound by shimmering chains that pulsed with divine energy. The chains weren't ordinary—crafted specifically to hold creatures of immense power. They sapped her strength with every second, leaving her weak and vulnerable.
She winced, trying to adjust her position, but the sharp edges of the chains bit into her skin. She groaned in pain, her voice echoing in the empty chamber.
Desperation filled her as she tried, once again, to reach Morgana through their mindlink. "Morgana…" she whispered, closing her eyes and focusing. But the divine energy in the chains severed all connections. It was no use.
