The way Magnus cared for me made my heart falter. His eyes softened with a tenderness that felt like a soothing balm to my soul, and his voice, though calm and steady, carried the weight of his concern. He sat beside me on the hospital bed, holding my hand gently, as if he feared I might disappear.

"You scared me, Aria," he said quietly. His hand brushed a strand of hair from my face, tucking it behind my ear. "Do you have any idea what I went through when I heard about the accident? And then seeing you unconscious…" He shook his head as if the memory itself was unbearable.

I tried to smile to lighten the mood, but the edges of my lips trembled. The thought of being trapped in the dream world, stuck in that alternate reality where Magnus was nothing but a distant memory, still haunted me. My chest tightened at the thought of what could have happened had I not broken free.
