Meilin barges into her brother's office. The secretary tried to stop her but she pushed her away, she was having a mental breakdown. He was in a meeting when she entered.
"Brother Muchen!!!" she said, as she stared at him with pity on her eyes.
He made a gesture telling everyone to leave.
"How could you do this? You kept ignoring my calls! You know fully well why I called."
"Have a seat," He said, coldly, without staring at her.
"I am sorry sir, I couldn't stop her." The secretary said, bowing down slightly.
"Bring in coffee," said Muchen to his secretary.
"Do not bother coming back; I don't want coffee." said Meilin, she shut the door immediately after the secretary left.
"What is your problem Meilin? Why not lie low for now. Everyone is talking..." She cut him off.
"Everyone is talking about me!!! Of course I know, I am now notorious. Why did you remove my name to put Qian's? You know how hard I worked to get this opportunity?
How could you do this to me? You of all people knows how hard I worked. You removed me before Lily's news broke out."
"Mei, Mei," he called her sweetly.
"Yes,"
"I booked a ticket for you to leave China tomorrow. First morning flight straight to Japan. It will be safer for you there." He said, not caring about her sudden change of expression.
"You don't want to get married and your career has failed. Just take this opportunity to lie low a bit, forget about what is happening here."
"So you don't believe me?"
"It's not a matter of me believing in you or not. Chen Meilin, the evidence is much there is nothing I can do. I will send you lots of money that will sustain you." said Muchen.
He stood up and walked to her, touching her shoulders. He embraced her, putting her head on his body.
"I know it's been hard for you, Mei. Brother will let everything die down soon and you will be back into the country." He said.
"Have they called you for questioning?"
"No they didn't, did you tell them not to call?" she asked, with widened eyes.
"Anything for my baby sister," He said.
"Thank you Brother Muchen,"
"Don't worry, this December you will work with Miu Miu, I know it's your dream." He assured her with a smile.
"But Brother Muchen, I can try to find some evidence. So we could fight it off in court. You know Lily tampered with my makeup and I had rashes for a week. That was why I fired her," She said in a low tone.
"Mei, the truth doesn't matter now. Everyone is on the matter right now, I can't interfere now. If I do, it will harm the company's reputation. I know you won't let Dad's hard work go in vain. No one knows you are related to the Chen's family, if I do it everyone will know." He said, caressing her hair lovingly.
"Okay Brother Muchen," Meilin responded with a smile.
Muchen left her side and took his seat.
"I arranged a photo shoot for you in japan, it's a dress company. It will definitely look good on you. The company pays very well, Mei, brother will do everything for you." He assured her.

"Andy," said Meilin, holding Andrew's hands who was in tears.
"Please don't go, we can fight this off. Our hard work shouldn't go in vain.
I know how hard you worked." Andrew said, wiping his tears.
"I am not crying, look at you crying like a baby," said Meilin, forcing a smile.
"Mei, don't give up now. Remember when you dislocated your arm from a fall in the studio. You still entered the runway with that arm, I could remember how you smiled throughout that pain. Where is that persistent Chen Meilin that never gave up?"
"My Brother said laying low for now it's the best decision," said Meilin.
"Mei, my brother, my brother all the time. When will you have a say in your life?"
"Andy, Muchen saved my life when we were little. He didn't hate me for being an illegitimate child of his father. But Qian hated me while he showed me love, so he is my everything." said Meilin, with a smile.
"Meilin, what about your fiance? They are very rich and he can help us," Andrew said.
"I would rather die than request his help. He is not my kind of person, he talks to me without respect. He is cocky and everything."
"He called me to request for your house address. I don't know how he found out about me being your manager. Did he do a background check on me and you? But I like him, I believe he will protect you if you give him the chance." Andrew advised.
"No!! Never!! He is mean, he has no empathy for me. He acts like he is a better human to others. But no, I don't just like him at all. Not a bit,"
"He is handsome though, I always wondered how and why you almost spread your legs for him in his car? What attracted you to him?" Asked Andrew, winking at her.
"I don't know, maybe his handsome face. Sexy eyes, broad shoulders!! He is very tall," Mei said with a smile. Andrew noticed her eyes lit up when she explained his features.
"A hot guy indeed," He said.
"I can swear you and him are meant to be."
She replied immediately,
"No! No!! Can never happen. I am going to Japan tomorrow."
Some models entered the studio room where Meilin and her manager sat at the end of the hall. The models didn't notice their presence."
"I am so happy Meilin isn't here anymore," the first model said.
"That fake kindness she shows to people will end now,"
"Does she really think we all like her?"
"I dropped a lot of hate comments on those videos talking about her," the third model said.
"Why will you guys do that? Meilin has always been kind to us all. She helped us get a modeling gig. Why drop hate comments?" said Tiantian looking at them weirdly.
"Tiantian!!! (Means sweet in Chinese) Are you that daft? That fake kindness she shows to people? Qian fed us everyday with expensive snacks. What has Meilin done for us?" The first model said.
"You guys were closer to her than I was. But you are here hating on her and pretending to be her friend," said Tiantian with an angry tone.
"I don't like fake people like you,"
"Hi everyone," Meilin said as she approached them.
The girls froze as they saw her, they immediately ran out without greeting her.
Mei stared at Tiantian as she left without running, she shook her head.
Tiantian never talked to her on set but the other girls always approached her, Mei felt like Tiantian hated her. Now she understands what fake love means. The ones talking to you might be your main enemies, that encourages your downfall more than the person who never talked to you.
