Chapter 119 - time and relative dimension in space(chapter 118)

Chapter 118

In the end, Cyborg sacrificed himself to transport Darkseid, Trigon, and Apokolips into a void, removing their threat. Despite our victory, Earth was left in a dire state, its core destabilized and billions facing death. Recognizing the grim reality, we decided to reset the timeline, hoping the new world would be better than the one we had endured. But I didn't know that, in order to do so, we needed a powerful magical being, and John used me." Finishing her story, Gray sighed for a second as they sat in silence. Then he got up and stretched, "Well, if we ever visit your world and I see John Constantine, then you better act quickly before I kill him," he said as he walked away. Rachel followed behind him.

"So, what is your plan?" she asked. Gray looked back, "What do you mean?" he asked as Rachel sighed, "The guy we just fought was not Merlin, which means Merlin is more powerful. And you saw how powerful that guy was. So what is your plan? Are you just going to stop at a domain?" Hearing this, Gray smiled as he said, "Of course not. I have plans, and I have the necessary ingredients for a new potion that is going to take me to a new height of power," he said, surprising Rachel. "Of course you do. Why did I even bother asking?" she said as Gray answered, "Because I am your boyfriend," he yelled from the top of his lungs as Rachel sighed.

-scene change-

Inside Pangea, Gray was wearing jeans and a simple overall as he looked in front of him at several materials such as metal blanks, beams, and other construction supplies. Beside him, holding her cane, was Rachel, who was wearing an oversized T-shirt with shorts. Her white hair dropped on her shoulders as she watched Gray study a large blueprint with a smile. She thought, "He really is cute when he's working." Gray began constructing as Rachel stared at him, watching his movements. She finally asked, "Lately, you've either been tending to those 10 special herbs or creating a bunch of potions. What potion are you going to make that requires this many auxiliary materials?"

Gray, who was hammering a nail, stopped mid-sentence and wiped the sweat from his brow before turning toward her. "I'm not preparing an auxiliary potion; I'm just practicing. Once those herbs are done, I'll only have one chance to make this," he said, which was both true and false—a balance Rachel knew well. She also knew that Gray always kept big secrets, secrets significant enough to have powerful organizations like the Merlin Lunatics constantly hunt him. Sighing, Rachel decided not to press him further. Forcing Gray was futile. Instead, she just watched as he worked on what seemed like a boat. And it was a boat, except it seemed strange. "What are you making?" she asked, watching his every movement—the swing of his hammer, the magical floating of metal, and the seamless fusion of pieces—until something beautiful was born.

"Did you just make an airship?" Rachel asked as Gray smiled and floated beside her to admire their creation. The vessel was constructed from polished magical wood reinforced with ornate metallic details, including gold and bronze plating. It featured glowing, hexagonal-patterned sails radiating a soft blue light, powered by the ship's unique engine. The hull was robust, equipped with mechanical components like gears and exhaust pipes, while glowing blue energy cores were integrated into the structure. The multi-leveled deck had windows emitting a warm golden light, adding to its mystical appearance. The stern was adorned with decorative elements, including a small flag.

"Why is there strong dimensional energy coming from it?" Rachel asked as Gray showed her a specially designed flask containing a blue glowing liquid.

[Name: Rift Engine Elixir]

[Grade: Peak Grade]

[Description: Crafted with a Level 11 Potion-Creation skill, this potion serves as the ultimate fuel for high-capacity magic-powered ships. Made from Liquefied Dimensional Rift and Orchid, it imbues the ship with the ability to manipulate space, time, and dimensional barriers, enabling stable rifts for instantaneous travel, temporal jumps, and dimensional traversal. The potion enhances magical shielding, providing resilience against cosmic forces. Due to its energy output, it is stable only in specialized containment chambers.]

"Yup, with this potion, this baby can take us to random universes at our whim. We don't have to look for rifts or break the timeline to create dimensional rifts," Gray explained with a smile. Rachel's shocked expression said it all. "What do you mean by breaking the timeline to create dimensional rifts?" she asked, making Gray chuckle. "Right, I didn't tell you," he said, scratching the back of his head. Rachel stroked the bridge of her nose. "Gray, please tell me you haven't been messing with the timeline while I was gone," she asked. Gray groaned, "No, no, of course not," before admitting, "All I did was go back in time, take the Philosopher's Stone, and kill Grindelwald," his voice trailing off as Rachel sighed in exasperation.

"So, all those rifts are created because someone messed with the timeline?" Rachel asked, starting to calm down. "Yes. In fact, I think it has something to do with the dream. Apparently, you don't exist, which means the dimensional rifts don't exist. That's why my parents are Lily and Snape," Gray explained. Rachel took a moment to process this before asking, "So every time a rift is created, it's because you've done something to offset the timeline?"

She asked as Gray looked at her before replying, "Fine, fine, I will stop messing with the past. Anyway, I have to name this baby." He started to chuckle as he looked at the ship, thinking long and hard before he said, "Things are often named after their purpose or principle, so…" He looked at the ship intently as he continued, "Time-related and dimension in space—" "You mean time and relative dimension in space?" Rachel interrupted, to which Gray replied, "No, I meant time-related and dimension in space, which is—" He then stopped himself and turned toward her, seeing the smug smile on her face that appeared whenever she had some knowledge he didn't. And boy, did Gray hate it as he said, "No," which only made her smile wider. Rachel made a weird noise that sounded like coughing, wheezing, and whooshing as she said, "Time and relative dimension in space." Gray fell to his knees, groaning, "No," but Rachel continued with a huge grin, "AKA, THE TARDIS."

A/N i am currently writing the Castlevania nocturn/arcane season 2 arch maybe i should include the Dr. Who Universe, if so, what are some ingredients i might acquire, remember it has to be overpowered on the same level as the hex-core.
