2 months later since Kid Buu's defeat, the peace in the Son household was as lively as ever. Inside, Chi-Chi was in the kitchen, focused on preparing a meal with her usual skill and care, while outside, Goku and Goten were sparring. Both had went Super Saiyan 3, their golden auras blazing as they exchanged punches and kicks, each pushing the other's limits.
Eventually, they paused, both breathing hard but smiling. Goku patted Goten on the shoulder. "You're getting really good at this, Goten! Your control over Super Saiyan 3 might even be better than mine."
Goten beamed, looking up at his dad with pride. "Thanks, Dad! I've been practicing every day."
Goku grinned, his excitement clear. "Let's try something new now." With that, he powered down to his base form, and Goten followed suit. "This technique's called the Kaioken," Goku explained. "It's a way to boost your power temporarily, but it takes a lot of control."
Goten watched closely as Goku demonstrated, enveloping himself in a fiery red aura. As Goku guided him through the basics, Goten picked it up quickly, his own aura flaring with the same crimson energy. Goku couldn't hide his pride, seeing his son master the technique so quickly.
Just then, Chi-Chi called from the kitchen, "Food's ready!" The scent of freshly cooked dishes wafted through the air, and both Goku and Goten's faces lit up.
They dashed inside, grinning from ear to ear. Chi-Chi smiled at them as they sat down, setting plates piled high with food in front of her boys, happy to see them together as a big family as they ate, Goten turned to Chi-Chi, his mouth full of food. "Mom isn't tomorrow Brother's wedding?" he mumbled, words barely understandable.
Chi-Chi gave him a warm smile, then raised an eyebrow. "Yes, it is, Goten! But remember what I always say don't talk with your mouth full." She shook her head with a light laugh, reaching over to wipe some crumbs off his face.
Goku chuckled too, watching his family with a smile as he continued eating. "Goten, you've got to listen to your mom, or she might make you eat less ramen which you love so much!" he teased, making Goten grin sheepishly as he took another bite, this time carefully chewing before speaking.
The thought of Gohan's wedding brought a special warmth to the table, filling the house with the anticipation of celebrating together as a family.
As night fell, the Son family got ready for bed, each of them filled with excitement for Gohan's big day. The next morning, they dressed in their finest clothes, with Goku in an unfamiliar but neatly tailored suit. Adjusting his collar, he shifted uncomfortably, tugging at the sleeves with a grimace.
"This suit feels like it's trying to squeeze the life out of me," he muttered, glancing at his reflection. Chi-Chi only chuckled and straightened his tie, telling him he looked handsome.
When they arrived at the wedding, they were greeted by friends and family, each dressed in their best. Krillin, Android 18, Yamcha, and even Master Roshi were present, each in sharp suits and elegant dresses. Goku looked around, clearly impressed by everyone's polished look.
Then he noticed Piccolo standing off to the side, wearing his usual attire turban, cape, and all. Goku's discomfort quickly turned into a bit of relief, seeing at least one friend as he always was. With a friendly wave, he greeted Piccolo. "Guess you didn't get the suit memo?"
Piccolo crossed his arms with a small smirk. "I'm here, aren't I? That's enough."
Everyone laughed, lighthearted and relaxed as they gathered for the ceremony, the excitement in the air tangible as the long-awaited day for Gohan and Videl finally began.
The wedding ceremony began with everyone taking their seats, watching as Gohan and Videl exchanged loving glances from across the aisle. Gohan, dressed in a formal suit, looked both nervous and excited, his face lighting up as Videl appeared in her elegant wedding dress. She walked down the aisle with her father, Mr. Satan, who couldn't help but tear up with pride and joy.
Goku, Chi-Chi, Goten, and all their friends smiled as they watched the ceremony unfold. Goku leaned over to Chi-Chi, whispering, "Hard to believe Gohan's all grown up now." Chi-Chi nodded, eyes brimming with happy tears as she took in the sight of her eldest son starting a new chapter in his life.
As the couple stood before the officiant, Gohan reached for Videl's hands, his eyes filled with warmth and commitment. They exchanged vows, each word carrying their hopes, dreams, and promises for the future. When it was time to exchange rings, they slid them onto each other's fingers with tender smiles, sealing their bond.
Finally, the officiant declared them husband and wife, and with a soft cheer from the crowd, they shared their first kiss as a married couple. Goten cheered excitedly, while Goku and Chi-Chi joined in, clapping and smiling proudly. Even Piccolo allowed himself a rare smile at seeing his former student so happy.
As the ceremony concluded, the reception began with everyone gathering to celebrate. Gohan and Videl shared a first dance, joined by their family and friends. Goku, Vegeta, Trunks and Goten dove into the food with enthusiasm, much to Chi-Chi's and Bulma's exasperation, while Krillin, Yamcha, and the others laughed and reminisced about old times.
Later, Gohan walked over to his family, embracing them warmly. "Thank you, everyone," he said, his voice thick with emotion. "I wouldn't be here without each of you."
As the group gathered for a photo, Goku wrapped an arm around Chi-Chi while Goten stood beside him, grinning widely. Gohan held Videl's hand, and Piccolo stood at the end, looking a bit uncomfortable but willing to join for the occasion.
The photographer counted down, "Three… two… one… say cheese!" But just as the flash went off, Piccolo blinked, his eyes half-shut in the picture.
Everyone burst into laughter as they checked the photo, Goten laughing the loudest. "Piccolo! You have to keep your eyes open!"
Piccolo frowned slightly. "It's not as easy as it looks…"
They tried again, but Piccolo closed his eyes just a second too soon once more, drawing even more laughter from the group. Videl and Gohan couldn't contain their giggles, while Goku slapped Piccolo's back playfully.
Finally, after a few more attempts and a lot of good-natured teasing they got the perfect shot, with everyone smiling brightly, including a determined Piccolo with his eyes wide open. The photo became a treasured memory, capturing the laughter, love, and family that surrounded Gohan and Videl on their special day.
