The next morning, Goten woke up buzzing with excitement. He had been thinking about training at Korin's Tower to get the Ultra Divine Water and wanted to invite Trunks to join him. After breakfast, he decided it was time to take to the skies.
"Time to see if I can fly as well as I can fight now," Goten said to himself, a determined smile on his face.
He focused on his Ki, feeling the familiar warm energy coursing through him. With a deep breath, he lifted off the ground, the world below him shrinking as he soared higher into the sky.
As he flew, the wind rushed past him, and he couldn't help but laugh. This is amazing! he thought and for a moment, he felt invincible.
It didn't take long before he spotted Trunks' house. Goten swooped down, landing gracefully in the backyard.
He glanced around, spotting Trunks' mother, Bulma, working on some gadgets in the garage.
"Hey, Goten it's been a while since I seen you!" Bulma called, looking up with a smile. "Trunks is inside. I'll go get him."
Goten waved, his excitement bubbling over. Moments later, Trunks appeared, his eyes wide with surprise.
"Goten! You flew all the way here?" Trunks exclaimed, grinning. "That's awesome!"
"Yeah! I wanted to see if you'd come train with me at Korin's Tower and then at Kami's Lookout!" Goten replied, practically bouncing on his feet.
"Of course! I don't know thoses places be it must be awesome if you want to train there!" Trunks said, his enthusiasm matching Goten's. "Let's go!"
They both concentrated on their Ki, and with a shared determination, they lifted off into the sky together. As they flew, Goten felt a surge of joy, training with his best friend made every moment even more thrilling.
The landscape below them blurred as they soared over fields and forests, the thrill of flight exhilarating.
Soon, they spotted Korin's Tower rising majestically in the distance.
"Ready for some serious training?" Goten called to Trunks, who nodded eagerly.
"Let's do this!"
They landed at the base of Korin's Tower, looking up at the towering structure. The air felt charged with potential, and Goten could sense that they were about to push their limits even further.
As they approached, Korin greeted them with a smile. "Well, if it isn't Gokus and Vegetas kids, im guessing you want to train here?"
"Yes, Master Korin!" they said in unison, excitement evident in their voices.
"Good! Let's get started," Korin said, his eyes gleaming with mischief.
"Alright, you two. Your first challenge is to catch me!" Korin exclaimed, he runs around.
"Wait, what?" Trunks shouted, glancing at Goten, who was already in pursuit.
They took off after Korin, who was surprisingly fast. Goten and Trunks raced around, but no matter how hard they pushed themselves, they struggled to keep up.
"Come on, Goten! We can't let him get away!" Trunks urged, panting as they rounded a corner.
"I know!" Goten shouted, his determination driving him. But Korin was elusive, weaving in and out of their reach with ease.
After five minutes of chasing, they paused, breathing heavily. Goten wiped the sweat from his brow, frustration creeping in. "How can he be so fast? He's just a cat!"
"Maybe we should try to sense his energy instead of just chasing him," Trunks suggested, glancing at Goten.
Goten nodded, closing his eyes and focusing. He felt the familiar warmth of his own Ki, but then he reached out, searching for Korin's presence. With a sudden clarity, he felt a faint but distinct energy signature above him.
"I got him!" Goten exclaimed, eyes snapping open. He shot upwards, following the trail of Korin's Ki. Trunks quickly followed, excitement building again.
As they rounded another bend, Goten spotted Korin perched on a ledge, grinning down at them. "Impressive! But you'll need to be faster than that!"
Fueled by determination, Goten launched himself toward Korin, his speed now more focused. With one final push, he reached out and managed to grab Korin's tail just as the cat tried to leap away.
"Gotcha!" Goten shouted, a triumphant smile breaking across his face.
Korin chuckled, impressed. "Alright, you win! As promised, here's the Ultra Divine Water to boost your power."
Goten's eyes widened as Korin produced a small vial filled with a shimmering liquid. "But be careful! It's potent stuff."
"Wait, is it safe?" Trunks asked, looking skeptical.
"Safe enough, but it might have some… interesting side effects," Korin replied, a hint of mischief in his voice.
Goten took the vial, heart racing with anticipation. "I'll be fine! I want to get stronger!"
He raised the vial to his lips and gulped it down. Almost immediately, he felt a surge of energy flooding his body, but then came the overwhelming sensation of power washing over him. His vision blurred, and he staggered back, nearly collapsing.
"Goten!" Trunks cried, rushing forward. "Are you okay?"
Goten gasped, his heart racing, and for a moment, it felt like the energy might consume him. But then he focused, pushing through the discomfort.
"I… I'm okay!" he managed to say, though his voice wavered.
Korin watched with a knowing smile. "That's it! Embrace the power!"
Trunks looked at the vial, hesitant. "I don't know if I want to take that… it looks intense!"
"You can do it, Trunks! We'll train together!" Goten encouraged, still feeling the aftereffects of the Ultra Divine Water.
With a deep breath, Trunks steeled himself. "Alright, here goes nothing!" He grabbed the vial and downed it quickly.
Immediately, he felt a wave of energy wash over him, and his expression mirrored Goten's as he staggered slightly. "Whoa! This is… wild!"
"Let's use this power and train harder!" Goten said, his excitement returning as the initial shock faded.
"Yeah! Together!" Trunks replied, a grin spreading across his face.
With newfound energy coursing through them, they turned to Korin, ready to embrace the next challenge and see just how far they could push their limits.
