Pei Yansi frowned at her words.
"When have I ever let anyone bully you?"
Shen Heyu didn't speak, or rather, she didn't want to have any more ties with this man. She held Yuexue and sat on the other side, as far away from him as possible.
Pei Yansi sensed that something was amiss and pulled out his phone to make a call.
Shen Heyu couldn't hear the voice on the other end, but she could vaguely guess who he was calling from his conversation.
"Where are you supposed to pick up the young miss? What's going on?"
"..."
"Meng Ru?"
"..."
"Find out what happened and bring that person to me." After saying that, he hung up the phone and looked at Shen Heyu again, his eyes complex.
"I'll have Meng Ru come and personally apologize to you."
"If apologies were effective, the problems of this world would be too easy to solve."
Shen Heyu retorted coldly, holding Yuexue and unwilling to say anything more. Pei Yansi knew she was upset and said no more.
