Compared to the local hot spring hotels specifically designed to attract tourists, Lin Family's hot spring pool was of an appropriate size and more exquisitely constructed. The entire pool was made of naturally flat, water-wave-patterned stones in an irregular shape, with the bottom paved with pebbles that had a massaging effect. Although there were no buildings around the pool to provide cover, several artistically placed rockeries of varying heights cleverly stood by the poolside.
However, its downside was that the hot spring pool was a bit far from the back door of the house; one had to cross at least a twenty-meter-long path, which was why I needed to buy an oversized bathrobe. I couldn't undress by the poolside, but walking there in a swimsuit would be too cold, so this thick and long bathrobe came in handy.
