The vegetables planted were common northern varieties such as cucumbers and tomatoes, as well as little Chinese cabbages and radishes intended for dipping in sauce.
It was their first year with little experience and purely explorative, but thankfully, the vegetable seeds were of high quality, the soil was fertile, and the agricultural station was very supportive. Quite a few people were already tempted. As long as the Qiao Family made money this year, they would follow suit.
