Mary Davis paused when she saw Ellis Olsen.
She threw the tissue into the nearby trash can, then straightened up and tidied her messy hair from bowing her head.
Then she finally spoke, "Mr. Olsen, this seems to be the ladies' restroom."
"I know."
Ellis Olsen leaned lazily against the wall, "I just came to see your pitiful state. What's the matter, is being pregnant that uncomfortable? Why not abort the child?"
At these words, Mary Davis's fingertips trembled.
She clenched her fingers, "That's my personal affair, Mr. Olsen need not bother himself."
Seeing her like this, Ellis Olsen scoffed, "Then consider it me sticking my nose where it doesn't belong! But still, having a child out of wedlock won't do your reputation any good, will it?"
Mary Davis tightened her jaw, unwilling to speak, and walked past him to leave.
