After returning form the Himalayas Oliver first took a bath in the room he was given in the academy after an half an hour bath he finally have some time for a peaceful sleep that he enjoyed.
Today was the first day of the academy, everywhere he looked was filled with students going around and staff and teachers organizing the first day of school properly.
In this academy a total of 5000 students are present divided through different with a thousand in each year bringing a total of 5 years of study to become a proper working awakened working under the five family, guild or the federation a dream job for any fortune to be selected in this academy.
Seeing it all with my own eyes was an experience difficult to explain as I have read about the lives of many student here, their achievements, their failure, their laughter or their distress, even deaths of many of them.
While thinking like that Oliver moved towards the biggest auditorium of the academy the was located near the center of the academy that was build like a giant palace that straight out of some fantasy show about kids using wands to fight an evil dark wizard.
The Castle was golden colour with some different shades present in different corners, it has big walls surrounding it with towers all around the palace and also different runes etched on the walls gleaming, it was a big, vibrant and fortified castle that gives both a sense of safety and exquisite luxury.
After entering the main auditorium by following directions from his watch he took a seat on the back of the auditorium.
'This castle sure suits the principal's taste' pondered Oliver as he took his seat.
As the auditorium was filled with all the students of the first years with some second years doing volunteering, suddenly a loud authoritative voice rang in the halls.
"Good morning first years" shouted Arthur
"Good morning principal Arthur" replied Oliver in a voice loud enough to draw everyone's attention.
"At least someone is paying attention here, not to bore you with a long speech on your first day, I am your principal Arthur, the best mage and the strongest man in the world and this is the Federation of Human Awakeners Academy a very boring name this is called in short FHAA without a 'K' or it will sound inappropriate"
"hahahaha" everyone laughed at his joke.
"So to continue on a serious note you will be studying in the first year course of the academy that focuses on the basis more than anything, the basis of fighting, the basics of rifts exploring, the basics of different, etc will all be covered in this course all you will only be allowed to graduate when you become a D rank awakener that will remain true even if you scored a perfect in every exam course at the core this is an academy for awakeners that will lead the world in future and I expect that much from them" informed Arthur.
That news gave shock to many while some were already aware about this.
'This a valid requirement for the students of most prestigious awakener academy in the world they shouldn't be shocked by this, if they were to here that to graduate from this academy you will at least need to reach A rank they will have an heart attack'.
"Now moving on to the next part I will announce the top three students of the first year as we always do and they will share some of their experiences with you" announced Arthur as he started calling names one by one.
"Victor Cromwell" announced Arthur.
victor got up from his seat and walked towards the podium with a round of applause behind him and started to give a scripted speech with a straight face.
Victor is Ryan's rival and one of the only three students in the academy that have the potential to reach SS rank before the apocalypse because he absorbed a phoenix's essence in the same way as Ryan absorbed the light dragon's dragon factor, he is an arrogant, annoying but loyal person who stood besides what he believes is right even if it endangers his life.
"Next is Amelia Ravenstein" invited Arthur as Amelia made her way to the stage, her speech was more natural and with her charming voice it become even more soothing.
Amelia was also one of the three to achieve SS rank before apocalypse but her powers are more mysterious in nature and there origin is never explained in the novel, she is very beautiful with cold personality but only for outsider if you become close to her she is very lovely and talkative.
"And the last is Henry Armstrong" announced Arthur as henry walked to the stage in a very stoic and measured manner, his speech was to the point that basically challenged everyone to fight him.
Henry was more serious than anyone with no nonsense personality, he never actually reaches the SS rank in the novel but he has the highest potential to reach it that any other in the world, and with the strongest sword technique in the world with him.
Aside from these three there are other member in the main cast of novel who would later become the powerhouses that will lead the war against the demons like Rachel Ainsworth the first daughter of Ainsworth family and Irene Cromwell Ryan's lover and Cromwell's princess and die at the end with everyone and everything.
"And now for a special mention, there is another student joining you all this year making this years first year's a total of 1001 students, he was selected at the last week before the start of academy and he had undergone a test personally given by me so don't underestimate him, currently he is not ranked among the 1000 you so as to not disturb the order but he will soon join the rankings after first mid terms, the unranked"
