Mors comes home, tired and sad, and lies down on the floor, only his daughter has a bed and his wife sleeps in another room on a mattress.
The love that Mors and his wife shared was no longer the same, this didn't seem to bother either of them, but Mors felt guilty.
"I'm going to check on the girl, and I'll have a glass of water," Mors thought to himself, he was not expecting what was about to happen.
Mors: "Ahhhh! What's going on!?"
Mors was immobile, it was as if he was trapped, his muscles were still moving but they weren't strong enough.
The effort he used to free himself was so exhausting that he fainted.
This worried voice came from the background but seemed so close.
"Sir, your house, oh my God! There's been a fire!"
Hearing the cry, Mors opened his eyes and saw a worried man, who was able to get him out of the house in time to avoid being burned to death.
Mors: "My daughter?! My wife?!"
"Sir... We only found one body in the fire..." The man looked confused
Mors: "Bo...bo... body?!"
Mors looked back and two other men were carrying a totally disfigured body out of the fire, the only thing that could be discerned was that the body belonged to an adult woman.
"LUCIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!"
At that moment, Mors forgot all about the problems he had with his wife and clung to the body, crying.
"Your name is Mors Lux, right? I'm so sorry about your wife."
Mors slowly stood up.
He left his wife's body and ran towards Silbmir, a village known for its religious fervor.
Meanwhile at the Silbmir police station
Secretary: "Sir, it's true that many children have gone missing recently, but we have orders from the officers not to investigate the matter."
Mors: "Not to investigate! What do you mean? You do realize that this child has nothing to do with the other abductions, she disappeared after a fire, it wasn't a normal abduction."
Secretary: "If you want us to look for your daughter so badly, you'll have to arrange a meeting with our sherrif."
Mors: "When would that be possible then?"
Secretary: "Well, the sheriff said he was going to be away for the next few days"
Mors: "The next few days! My daughter's life is at stake! Listen, if you don't make this meeting happen quicly, I'll make sure your sheriff has another death to investigate!"
Mors would do anything to save his daughter
Secretary: "You may well kill me but that doesn't change the fact that the sheriff is out!"
Mors ("Well... if they don't move I'm going to do this investigation myself." )
Mors, asked everyone he saw on the street, but his efforts seemed to be in vain...
"My boy... my son!"
A woman's cry could be heard from far away
Mors: "Stop crying! I have no patience for shit, can't you see I'm thinking!"
"But my son, he's gone!"
Mors: "You said... disappeared? When was the last time you saw him?"
"Father Gioru came to our house to tell me that I owed the church gold, but I don't have the money to pay. It's my fault, because I can't work, I'm ill, my husband is already dead and my baby is going to die!"
Mors: "..." Mors didn't say another word
He realized that this wasn't going to help him find his daughter, it was a totally different case, but...
"Hpmmm... Father... gold? I don't have time for this"
Mors thought as he walked slowly to the church door.
