Chapter 7: THE NECESSITY

Aurora Academy Conference Room

Headmaster Elijah Nightshade stood tall, his piercing blue eyes surveying the room. "Welcome, everyone. Today's gathering is crucial. We've witnessed something extraordinary, and it's essential we address it."

Professor Elwes, Director of Talent Development, leaned forward. "You're referring to Benzamin Red'lux's performance?"

Headmaster Nightshade nodded gravely. "Yes. His demonstration was unprecedented – perfect score and evaluation mark of 10,000. We've never seen anything like it."

Professor Orion frowned. "I've reviewed the footage. Unmatched control, precision, and energy manipulation almost like it's an extension or part of himself. But what concerns me is his Talent's unpredictability, such growth to legendary level understanding in his first year which normally takes 3-4 year's for any student,....am intrigued."

Dr. Sofia Patel's eyes sparkled. "Benzamin's aura resonates at an incredibly high frequency, bordering on mythical. We may be looking at a once-in-a-generation phenomenon and if am not wrong."she paused for a while"it will still keep increasing."

Headmaster Nightshade's expression turned contemplative. "Implications?"

Dr. Patel hesitated. "If Benzamin's Talent continues unchecked, it could destabilize the Talent ecosystem for both younger and older generations. We risk attracting unwanted external attention."

Professor Elwes nodded. "Adjusting our curriculum for his unique needs is crucial."

The room fell silent.

Royal Palace of the Red'lux Family

Kevin Ray Red'lux stood at the balcony, his chiseled features etched with concern. His piercing green eyes, a trait shared with Benzamin, gazed out at the city. His dark hair was flecked with gray, a testament to his years of responsibility. In his hand, he held a worn photograph of Benzamin at nine years old, taken during the Luminous Festival.

Rachel, his loyal butler, approached quietly. Her silver hair was styled in a neat bob, and her warm brown eyes held a deep understanding. "Sire, don't forget your scheduled visit. The mythical beast habitats await your arrival."

Kevin turned, his expression tense. "Yes, yes Rachel. I remember."

Rachel's gaze fell upon the photograph. Her eyes narrowed slightly. "Sire, perhaps you should reconsider—"

Kevin's grip on the photograph tightened. "No, Rachel. Ben's safety is paramount."

Rachel's voice softened. "You've done everything you can, sire. But perhaps it's time to let go of the past and focus on his growth."

Kevin's eyes flashed with worry. "What if he's not ready? What if he can't control it?"

Rachel's expression hinted concern so she decided to swiftly change the topic. "We've received reports, sire. Ben's doing well at the Aurora Academy city."

Kevin's gaze lingered on the photograph. "Is that so, good.Junior... my boy."

As Rachel turned to leave, Kevin called out, "Rachel?"

"Yes, sire?"

"Junior's arrangements?"

Rachel's expression turned grave. "Necessary precautions taken, sire. No one will question his credibility or harm him."

Kevin's face contorted in pain and nostalgia. Flashes of light waves danced before his eyes – memories of his wife, Eliana, and a vague being before them.

A woman's hand reached out, alongside his, as they grasped at the energy. The memories were fragmented, fleeting.

Kevin's eyes snapped back into focus. He picked up the Aurora Academy badge from his desk, bearing the insignia of a fist holding a rainbow. A soft, sad smile spread across his face.

"Hope you're doing well, Ben. Hope you're making new friends."his face flashes a slight smile

Rachel's voice whispered in his mind. "You should tell him, sire. He deserves to know about his mothe_."But an immense pressure fell on her,a bloodlust she knew all too well but still crushed her it was Kevin's.

Kevin's intense gaze silenced her with his back facing her. "Don't mention that incident, Rachel. You've been warned. Never again i will not repeat myself."he stares at her,a warning staring .

Rachel nodded, her eyes downcast. "Understood, sire. It won't repeat itself."

Kevin's eyes dropped, consumed by secrets.

What lay hidden behind Kevin's gaze?

Aurora Academy Conference Room

As the meeting concluded, Director Elwes's eyes lingered on Benzamin's file. "There's something we're missing. A piece of the puzzle that could change everything, help us understand more."

Professor Ryker nodded in agreement. "I'll dig deeper into his past, see if I can uncover any hidden connections."

Meanwhile, Professor Lila's mind wandered to the psychological implications. "If Benzamin is indeed hiding his talent, what does that say about his mental state? Is he anxious, fearful, or simply cautious?"

Professor Arin's thoughts drifted to the potential consequences. "If Benzamin's talent is as powerful as we suspect, he could be a game-changer in the world of talents. But at what cost?"

Headmaster Elijah Nightshade leaned forward. "We must consider the potential risks and benefits of nurturing Benzamin's Talent. Professor Elwes, what are your thoughts?"

Professor Elwes nodded. "We've never seen a Talent like Benzamin's. If we can understand and harness it, the implications for our research and the academy's reputation would be immense, especially if he gain's an awakened talent along with his origin talent."

Professor Orion frowned. "I guess you are right,But at what cost? We can't ignore the potential dangers. What if he loses control?"

Dr. Sofia Patel intervened. "We've developed containment protocols for such scenarios. However, I agree with Professor Orion. We need caution."

Headmaster Nightshade nodded. "Agreed. Let's discuss Magnus Darkfire's Talent. Professor Ryker, what's your assessment?"

Professor Ryker consulted his notes. "Magnus's Technomatrix Talent is impressive. He can merge and create technology with his mind. We've categorized it as Elite, Stage 3 well a diamond rank just below platinum, and it's seems to be an origin talent which i suspect is different from his family's inherit traits."

Professor Chris asked, "How does Magnus's Talent compare to Benzamin's?"

Professor Ryker replied, "While both are exceptional, their Talents operate on different frequencies. Magnus's is more predictable, whereas Benzamin's... well, we're still understanding its scope."

Professor Elwes added."There's something about benzamin that intrigues me!?"

professor Sofia inquiries."what do you mean Prof elwes?."

professor elwes replied."As you may all know since the academy founding, the ranking system approved, endorse by the academy

Novice (N): Bronze

Adept (A): sliver

Master (M):gold

Elite (E): Diamond

Legendary (L): platinum

with the different attribute, but potential and domain level attribute, ahh!"she gasps"we need to make a decision quick."

Headmaster Nightshade leaned back. "Our decision regarding Benzamin: we'll establish a special task force, led by Professor Elwes, to monitor and guide him."

Professor Orion nodded. "And what about security measures?"

Headmaster Nightshade's expression turned serious. "We'll increase surveillance and implement additional containment protocols. We can't risk external attention or accidents."

Dr. Patel spoke up. "I recommend regular psychological evaluations for Benzamin. His Talent's impact on his mental health is unknown."

Professor Elwes nodded. "I'll work with our psychology department to ensure Benzamin receives proper support."

Headmaster Nightshade concluded. "Let's proceed with caution and collaboration. Our goal: unlock Benzamin's potential while ensuring the academy's safety."

The staff meeting adjourned, with a sense of determination and trepidation.

---

Professor Elwes walked out of the conference room, her mind buzzing with the weight of responsibility. Leading the special task force for Benzamin's education was an honor, but also a challenge.

As she entered her office, she gazed out the window, contemplating the two students who would be her primary focus: Benzamin Red'lux and Magnus Darkfire.

Magnus, with his exceptional Technomatrix Talent, had already demonstrated remarkable potential. His dedication and eagerness to learn made him an ideal student.

Benzamin, on the other hand, was an enigma. His Apex Light Weaver Talent defied understanding, and his quiet confidence bordered on intimidating.

Professor Elwes's thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door. "Enter."

Magnus stepped inside, his eyes sparkling with curiosity. "Professor Elwes, I wanted to discuss my project. I've made some breakthroughs."

Professor Elwes smiled. "Excellent! Let's take a look."

As Magnus explained his innovations, Professor Elwes listened intently, impressed by his clarity and passion.

"Your work is outstanding, Magnus," she said. "You're pushing the boundaries of your talent. I'll provide additional resources to support your research."

Magnus beamed. "Thank you, Professor. Your guidance means a lot."

Professor Elwes's expression turned serious. "Magnus, I want you to work closely with Benzamin. Your Talents complement each other. Together, you might unlock new possibilities."

Magnus's eyes widened. "I'd be honored, Professor."

Later that day

Benzamin visited professor elwes in the academy's advanced laboratory. She was immersed in her research, surrounded by holographic displays and complex equipment.

"Oh Benzamin it's you, I've reviewed your progress," Professor Elwes said. "Your Talent is unlike anything I've seen. I'll need to adjust our curriculum to accommodate your unique needs." Then she asked"Would you be willing to cooperate with me?."

Benzamin looked up, his eyes intense. "Thank you, Professor. I'm willing to cooperate in your research to learn more and advance my understanding of my talent."

Benzamin's expression remained neutral, but Professor Elwes detected a hint of curiosity.

"so I'll work with you, Professor," Benzamin said.

Professor Elwes nodded. "Excellent. Our first goal: understand the limits of your Talent. We'll conduct simulations, experiments, and—"

Benzamin interrupted, his voice low. "Professor, I have a question."

"Yes?"

"What's the true purpose of this research? Is it just for the academy's benefit or... something more?"

Professor Elwes's eyes locked onto Benzamin's, her expression unreadable.

"We'll discuss that later, Benzamin. For now, let's focus on your education."

Benzamin's gaze lingered, searching for answers.
