Chapter - 84
The creature roared and charged forward, its stone axes raised high, each step shaking the ground beneath its massive frame. Jacob dove to the side just as the axes came crashing down, shattering the stone floor into jagged fragments. The force of the blow sent cracks spidering outward, and debris flew past him as he rolled to his feet, drawing his revolver in one swift motion.
With steady hands, Jacob fired a volley of faerium-infused bullets. The glowing rounds streaked through the air and struck the creature's torso, the impacts producing sparks and faint bursts of energy. Yet, the monster barely flinched, its jagged, rocky skin absorbing the blows with minimal damage. Tiny chips fell from its form, but the creature was unfazed, its burning eyes narrowing as it swung its right axe in a wide, horizontal arc.
