The morning sun streamed through the large windows of Althea's dining hall. Everyone was seated around the long dining table, enjoying a breakfast spread that included freshly baked bread, cured meats, assorted fruits, and steaming cups of tea. The women chatted animatedly amongst themselves, their voices a pleasant hum that filled the room. Jacob, however, remained mostly silent, his mind clearly preoccupied as he ate his meal.
When he finished his plate, he set down his fork and leaned back in his chair. The casual atmosphere at the table shifted slightly as Jacob cleared his throat. "Althea," he began, "what are your thoughts about the Crown Prince? What do you know about him?"
