"Fucking run!" Tate dived and grabbed Maddy's arm, the tripod stand falling over as Maddy jumped over to Tate.
"Shit!" Ray almost slipped as he tried running away from the half-rotten man, his flashlight falling far away from him.
"Fucking get up!!!" Cathy screamed and quickly dragged Ray up, looking behind them to see the Zombie man slowly staggering towards them.
"Grrrrr!!!" The Zombie scientist growled, moving slowly towards them.
They ran, not looking back, their hearts racing and fear threatening to paralyze their feet.
Releasing a raw, visceral, and unsettling sound that sounded as if he was choking on its own bile.
"Uuuuhhh...Rrraaahhh!!!" This time, the Zombie scientist growled more intensely and angrily as he saw his targets getting far away from him.
"This way!" Tate shouted as they ran out of the passage, leading them back to the long reception hallway.
"Come on, Maddy!" Tate shouted at Maddy, who had suddenly stumbled over a small sharp wood that was lying on the floor.
"Oh no! No, no, no," Maddy whispered as she used her buttock to shift away from the Zombie scientist the fastest her fears could let her go.
The others paused as they realized that Maddy was lagging. They had almost reached the exit but quickly turned and ran back to her.
"Aaaachhh..." The Zombie scientist released a terrifying, raspy growl and suddenly surprised them by diving up into the air and hopping over to Maddy before they reached her.
He extended his rotten bloody hands and grabbed her leg.
"Argh!!! Get him off me!!" Maddy screamed, using her other leg to kick the zombie's hand off of her leg.
But it didn't budge. Instead, it used her leg to propel itself closer to her, his cold hands sending chills down Maddy's spine.
"Tate, help!" Maddy screamed, urgently using her free leg to continuously hit the zombie's head.
But, the Zombie was mindless. He was a relentless flesh-hungry monster, driven by rage and an insatiable hunger for human flesh.
"Oh, God!" Cathy was shaking as she held Ray tightly behind his shirt.
Tate was busy urgently looking for what to use and help Maddy.
He suddenly remembered the piece of wood that had caused Maddy to fall and immediately ran over to her and picked it up.
The wood was pushed farther away from Maddy as she fell, making it easier for him to reach it.
"Tate, hurry!" Maddy grunted, trying her best to keep the relentless beast from taking a chew off her skin.
"I'm coming, Maddy!" Tate replied as his flashlight suddenly fell off his hands, rolling away from him.
"Fuck this! Hang on Maddy, I'm so sorry!" He quickly went to retrieve it.
He couldn't see without it, and if he couldn't see, he could not see Maddy.
Maddy was breathless and scared; she'd never produced the amount of adrenaline she was producing at that moment in her entire life.
"Get off me, get off me!" She kicked her legs wildly, hoping to shake the zombie off her, but his hands only seemed to get tighter with her movement.
But she noticed that her rabid movement was causing the zombie not to get enough grip on her to be able to take a bite of her, so she kept struggling, kicking, and fighting.
With shaking hands, she reached into her pocket and felt for her pocket knife; luckily, she found it and didn't waste any time and immediately brought it out.
Heart pounding and nerves shaking, she aimlessly aimed the knife toward the zombie and the next second.
A bone-chilling sound pierced the scary hospital.
"Grruuuhhhhh!!!!" The Zombie snarled angrily as the knife pierced right into one of his eyes.
"Oh, fuck!" Maddy used the moment of his pain to kick him away from her.
She almost fainted when she felt the cold blood spew from his eyes to her leg, but she ignored it and ran away from him as he was still reeling with pain on the floor.
"Found it!" Tate announced and quickly ran over to Maddy.
He was surprised and happy to see her free from the zombie.
"Let's get the fuck out of here," Maddy said to her friends, pushing Ray and Cathy toward the door.
Tate still held onto the sharp wood as he hurried behind them.
"No way! Someone locked this damn door," Ray gritted out.
Fear unleashed itself anew in them, and they realized that they had just been trapped in a building with a zombie scientist.
"Move!" Tate pushed Ray away and used his flashlight to observe the lock.
"Quickly, hold this," Tate shoved his flashlight into Ray's hand.
He was trying to use the wood in his hand to break the weak lock. That was their only advantage. The door was weak.
"Shit, Tate, it's coming!" Cathy cried out, tapping her kegs anxiously as she stared at the crawling Zombie.
"Fuck this, this way!" Tate cursed and snatched his flashlight from Ray's hand.
He held Maddy's hand and ran toward the passage adjacent to the one they'd just run out from.
The Zombie was gurgling, snarling its jaw as he increased its speed toward his escaping prey.
Tate was the only one with a flashlight now; they tried to keep up with him as they ran past opened doors that lined the passageway. This passage seemed unending, the opened doors feeling like something else was watching them from in there.
"Grrrrr!" The Zombie's growl sounded very close to them.
"Shit, move faster, guys; it's getting closer!" Maddy shouted, looking behind at the zombie.
She saw her knife still sticking into the zombie's eyes, blood trailing behind him as he moved.
"In here, I think there's an open window," Tate rushed into one of the rooms, flashing his light around, and quickly spotted the slightly opened low-hung window.
He banged the door shut and tried bolting it but he found out that the lock was spoilt.
"Ray, hold the damn door!" Tate said, using his back to hold the door closed.
Ray quickly rushed over and pushed Tate away from the door.
"Easy for you to say," Ray muttered as he replaced Tate on the door.
"Just don't let that damn thing in here," Tate said and rushed over to the window.
Maddy was trying to open it, but she wasn't successful; the window didn't even budge at her effort.
"Let me try it," He gently pulled her out from the window and pushed it, using more force as the window seemed hard to open due to being unused for a long time.
He used his shoulder to push it, and the window was finally opening, little by little.
"Hurry up, guys. This thing is really stronger than it seems!" Ray shouted over at his friends.
Maddy and Cathy turned to look at Ray, he seemed to be hardly breathing; the snarling and gurgling of the angry zombie sounded from behind the door as it scratched and pushed the door relentlessly.
"Ugh!" Tate pushed the window hard one last time with his shoulder, grunting as he finally succeeded in opening it.
"Come on, hurry, go, go, go," He waved Cathy near the window, helping her climb over it to the floor.
They were lucky the window wasn't a high one, the ground was right next to your feet if you climbed over it.
"Come on, Maddy, hurry over," Tate encouraged, holding her hand as she climbed over the window.
"Grrraaahhh..." The Zombie released a low throaty sound, followed by a loud bang on the door.
"Oh shit, can I leave the door now?!" Ray asked, scared.
"Alright, Ray, you have to be ready fast, I'll close the window once you're out," Tate spoke from outside the window.
He was standing beside the window, waiting for Ray to come out.
"Oh my god," Ray breathed harshly, "Alright, okay...I can do this, I have no other choice," Ray hyperventilated.
He took a deep breath and then left the door, dashing toward the window immediately.
"Fuck, this flesh eater got faster!" He said breathlessly as he dived out of the window.
Tate slammed the window closed immediately, but his eyes widened as the glass shattered to pieces from the force.
"Oh no! Climb guys, climb over the damn gate!!!" Tate shouted as he ran toward his friends.
"Shit, you let him out?!" Ray asked as he saw the zombie crawling out of the broken window.
"Yeah, felt bad leaving him behind, Fucking climb you dummy!" Tate replied angrily.
"Here, up!" Maddy helped Cathy climb over, making sure she didn't fall back down.
"Don't worry, I got it," She said to Tate, who came over to offer her help.
"Let's get out of here, guys," Maddy said and immediately started to climb the gates.
Like magic, the Zombie suddenly moved with speed and reached the gate, growling and gurgling.
Maddy heard the zombie near her and quickly turned to check if it was catching up with them, "Argh!" She screamed as she lost her grip and fell back down to the zombie, and without delay, the Zombie dived her, angrily biting down on her wrist.
"Argh, fuck!!!" She screamed painfully, punching the zombie's head.
Tate saw this and immediately jumped back to help her.
He saw the sharp wood he had dropped near the gate and quickly picked it up, and without hesitating, he plunged it into the zombie's cheek, releasing its bite grip from Maddy's wrist.
"Uuhgghh!" With blood flowing from its torn cheeks, it dived at Tate, angry for what he's done to it.
"Fuck you, Mr. Zombie!" Tate angrily shoved the sharp wood into the zombie's heart.
It let out a loud shriek as it fell to the floor, twisting weirdly and gurgling up dark blood from its gut.
"Come on, let go," He hurried and helped Maddy climb out of the gate before he followed her behind.
Together, the four friends ran farther away from the abandoned hospital, and deeper into the woods, hoping they leave to see the next day...
