Some Moments Ago:
"The Kelpie…" Eden whispered, his voice trembling with awe and disbelief.
The creature stepped onto the shore, droplets of water rolling off its form like liquid silver. It stood tall and proud, its gaze unwavering as it studied him. Then, in a deliberate motion, it lowered itself onto one knee, as if inviting Eden to ride.
Eden blinked, momentarily stunned. "You want me to...?"
The Kelpie snorted softly, stamping a hoof against the earth with impatience.
"Alright," Eden muttered, pulling himself together. He reached into his coat and retrieved the blindfold, tying it securely around his eyes. "If you're real, I suppose I don't have much choice."
Climbing onto the Kelpie was easier said than done. Eden stumbled more than once, his footing awkward as he tried to mount the mythical beast. Sensing his struggle, the Kelpie lowered itself further, its head turning slightly as if to guide him.
