Chapter 43 - Classes

The new semester at Shuǐxiù University had begun.

According to Nie Hong, miracle majors would start incorporating more Dreamland-related topics from their third year onwards. Many courses were even conducted and assessed in Dreamland.

But none of that mattered to Mithra.

She looked at her chosen course schedule, a mix of mandatory general education classes and various miracle courses she had picked based on her interest, after confirming that there were no restrictions on her course selection.

Mithra wasn't a serious student. She didn't need credits or grades. Besides the general education courses she needed to pass, she chose the miracle courses simply for research purposes.

Whether she actually attended the lectures or how much she studied wasn't the university's concern.

"Years after graduating, and I'm back in school," Mithra stretched, looking at the computer before her.

Suddenly, she felt the persistent weakness and nausea subside, vanishing quickly.

Mithra paused and glanced around.

She was using a computer in the resettlement center's library.

Since no one was around, she reached into her body.

Although she had explained that she could store weapons inside her body, and the resettlement center had conducted preliminary research, they hadn't found anything and couldn't explain it.

Because the process of her retrieving weapons was rather shocking, the center had suggested she avoid doing so in public, as it might negatively affect her assessment two months later.

After confirming that no one was around, Mithra pulled out her hammer.

The newly reborn hammer bro!

Its overall appearance hadn't changed much. Mithra had even preserved the chipped corner, keeping its original, crude charm.

Faint, dark yellow cracks now adorned its simple, dark grey surface, making it look fragile, but in reality, it had been completely reforged.

It was even stronger now.

Well, that was about it.

[Refined Stone Hammer: A meticulously crafted stone hammer, mixed materials, exceptionally hard and heavy. Can be used as a special miracle intermediary.]

[—You tortured yourself for this?]

"You don't understand," Mithra shook her head, looking at the hammer's information.

A master weaponsmith had to have a unique appreciation for weapons.

Like the longsword users in a certain monster hunting game.

"Wow, that's amazing! You can really pull weapons out of your body?" Matsuri's voice suddenly came from behind.

Mithra glanced back, unconcerned.

They often met in the library. Even with her heightened senses, it was difficult to detect Matsuri's approach. She was used to it.

"Are you choosing your courses?" Matsuri, also accustomed to Mithra's indifference, continued the conversation.

"Yes."

"So many miracle courses, it's a bit much," Matsuri said, looking at Mithra's planned schedule.

"It doesn't matter. I just want to learn some new things and broaden my knowledge. My main goal is still achieving Unified Sense," Mithra said, opening a bottle of Planet Blue soda and taking a sip.

"I was born with Unified Sense. I'm a bit different from ordinary people, so I can't offer any advice, only my best wishes," Matsuri replied.

Was she showing off? Mithra felt that she was also inherently capable of Unified Sense, albeit with her "other self."

Without further thought, Mithra stored the hammer back in her body. Matsuri looked curious, but not surprised.

After printing out another copy of her schedule, Mithra stood up to leave.

"Your clothes will be ready in a few days. I hope you like them," Matsuri waved goodbye.

Mithra nodded in response and left.

On the way back, she thought about achieving Unified Sense.

Expanding miracle releasing organs was a mysterious process. Planet Blue research hadn't been able to uncover its nature. As a result, for most people, Unified Sense was achieved through practice and repetition.

Some people could master a miracle in a specific location with little effort, while others had to repeatedly activate miracles in non-unified sense areas, learning through failure.

Mithra was relatively lucky. At least her other self had already achieved Unified Sense.

Having such a perfect example, she could avoid many detours.

Being able to activate miracles throughout her body was definitely a significant advantage.

A miracle's inherent power, mastery level, Transformation Techniques, and Unified Sense.

These were the three key factors in a believer's early stage development.

Besides exploring Unified Sense, Mithra also signed up for advanced Transformation Technique courses, usually only available to upperclassmen in miracle majors.

Shuǐxiù University was renowned for its Transformation Techniques, especially its Water Miracle transformations.

Mithra didn't know any Water Miracles and wasn't particularly interested in those transformations. She simply reasoned that if there was one unique Transformation Technique, there were likely other interesting extensions and techniques worth learning.

As for learning miracles, Mithra already knew quite a few.

She had mastered most of the miracles she possessed. The only ones she needed to further master were the Hunting miracles.

That wasn't difficult. Mithra's mastery of Hunting miracles was already high in her beast form. While she wasn't as good as the original Night Hunter, she could use them effectively.

The residual experience from the beast form was also worth studying.

Thinking about this, she felt like she was constantly benefiting from her "other selves."

Besides the Hunting miracles, the Sanctuary hadn't taken Safin's belongings but had given them all to Mithra, including several miracle learning materials.

There were quite a few advanced miracles, which would take Mithra some time to master.

After reviewing her upcoming tasks, Mithra saw Nie Hong lurking outside her door.

Hadn't his classes started yet?

Hearing footsteps, Nie Hong turned around. "Mithra, you're finally back. I've been waiting for you. Where have you been?"

"Speak," Mithra said directly.

Nie Hong, used to her attitude, asked, "You said you'd sign up for some extra miracle courses. Did you choose any Ki Academy courses?"

Seeing Nie Hong's expectant gaze, Mithra thought for a moment. "No."

Nie Hong's face immediately fell.

"Why not? Don't you like Ki miracles? Haven't you felt the allure of Ki?"

"The process is too troublesome. We'll talk about it later."

Because the Ki and Spirit miracle academies were relatively independent, signing up required separate applications. Mithra found it troublesome.

"Ugh."

"Anything else? Then get out of the way," Mithra said.

"Oh, and, you wanted me to find buyers for those two distilled senses, right? I got some news. They were determined to be from the same Wandering God, and the news spread, causing quite a stir. I got my professor to help, and I found a good buyer. I'll tell you about it."

Mithra turned her head. "Planet Blue knows that Wandering Gods are dangerous. Those two distilled senses have curses. It's not something you can just brush off."

"Didn't you want to sell them?" Nie Hong was confused.

"I didn't expect so many people to want them."

"Even with the price, they're still Wandering God miracles. There are many records of Wandering Gods in Dreamland, but few are successfully brought back. My professor said it's best to keep them for your own use, to create weapons or tools, rather than selling them," Nie Hong said.

Mithra fell silent, then nodded understandingly. "Typical Planet Blue citizens."

Nie Hong: ?

"I told you that you could have Erik's distilled sense," Mithra changed the subject.

"I was not capable enough to handle it back then," Nie Hong firmly shook his head.

"Then sell it for money. Once my identity is confirmed, I can open bank accounts," Mithra said.

She didn't need that chaotic distilled sense to create tools or weapons.

She already knew Hunting miracles, and what kind of tool or weapon could surpass the Night Hunter Greatsword?

"Alright, I'll go find buyers. Then I'll help you buy a phone and a computer. Without those, you'd be like a caveman in a modern city."

Mithra ignored him and entered her room.

Nie Hong tried to follow.

Bang!

The door slammed shut, hitting his nose.
