Chapter 3 - chapter 3, the talent

I focused on the talent options presented to me, each with a brief description:

[Talent Awakening]

Please select 1 from the following 3 talents:

1. Blessing of Nature: There is a high chance that some members will be born with elemental affinity. (White)

2. Blessing of Giants: Members of the race will be born 10 times larger and 10 times more powerful. (Blue)

3. Twin: The lord will gain the power of all members of the race. (Black)

I was stunned by the talent list. Both the second and third options seemed incredibly powerful. After considerable thought, I chose the third talent. To ensure my survival, I needed strength. No matter how many formidable races I gathered, a single enemy could easily kill me if I wasn't careful.

Next, I reviewed the second set of talents:

1. Blessing of Giants: All races will be 10 times larger and stronger. (Blue)

2. Final Form: Summoned races will evolve into their final forms upon birth. (Black)

3. Wind Affinity: You can easily use wind magic and techniques. (White)

Once again, the Blessing of Giants presented itself. This time, I selected the second talent. With this, my power would dramatically increase. For example, if I summoned a baby dragon, it could evolve into a chaos dragon, or a summoned demon could transform into a chaos demon. The thought filled me with excitement.

Now, I moved on to the third talent:

1. Water Affinity: You can easily use water magic and techniques. (White)

2. Hundredfold Increase: Everything you own or acquire will increase a hundredfold, and your summons will also experience a hundredfold boost in power. (Black)

3. Flicker: You can freely teleport within a radius of 10 meters. (Green)

Without hesitation, I chose the second option. With this talent, it would only be a matter of time before I reached unparalleled strength.

A new panel appeared before me:

Please choose your first banner:

1. Undead

2. Demon

3. Beast

4. Shadow

5. Nature

6. Angel

7. Eldritch

8. Omnic

9. Zerg

After much deliberation, I settled on Undead for my first banner. This choice was strategic; selecting any other option would undoubtedly attract the church's wrath.

The church harbored a deep hatred for demons and eldritch beings. Omnic and Zerg were among the greatest enemies of humanity. Nature lacked combat strength in the early stages, and choosing Shadow would likely lead to persecution by the Church of Light. If I chose Beast, everyone would hunt my creatures for their parts. As for Angel, if the church discovered my affiliation, they would either attempt to control me or eliminate me, viewing me as a threat.

Thus, I chose Undead. While undead beings are also scorned, many necromancers exist within the human world, and necromancy is accepted in various realms. Given these considerations, Undead felt like the safest and most strategic choice.

You chose your first banner: "Undead."

Your first race is being drawn…

Your first race: Skeleton.
