Without waiting, she took the lead, striding toward the crowd with authority. "Make way!" she called out, her voice sharp enough attracted everyone's attention.
The crowd parted reluctantly, their eyes curious and also not happy to see us.
As we got closer, a guy stepped forward—slim, with a kind of delicate handsomeness that bordered on feminine. He moved like he was on stage, all fluid gestures and dramatic flair, and his smile was way too friendly for someone I'd never met.
