Chapter 147 - Chapter 147

"You want to conquer Konoha? As long as I'm here, you won't set foot past Moonfall Mountain!" Mochizuki Hui's voice rang out, firm and cold.

His words stirred a wave of excitement among the Konoha shinobi, who erupted in cheers, while the Kumogakure forces felt a blow to their morale, shaken by his sheer confidence.

"Hmph, Hui," the Second Raikage sneered, though his tone betrayed a hint of respect. "I'll admit your ninjutsu is powerful, but how many times can you use such techniques? How much chakra do you have to spare?"

As he spoke, his body began to shimmer with blue lightning chakra, crackling around him in arcs of energy. This was the Lightning Release Chakra Mode, a technique he himself had invented.

For all his fierce reputation, the Second Raikage was also a versatile and capable leader, a master of ninjutsu who had implemented reforms after Kumogakure's defeat in the last Great Ninja War.

He had created the ninja academy system, modeled on Konoha's, to better train Kumogakure's younger generation in combat and swordsmanship. He was someone willing to learn and teach anything beneficial to his village, even if it came form the culture of enemy villages.

Under his guidance, Kumogakure became a village known for its warrior prowess, where swordsmanship and combat arts thrived.

But respect had no place on the battlefield. Mochizuki Hui's eyes remained as cold and calculating as ever, showing no mercy.

The Second Raikage's lightning armor flared to life, and beside him, the Third Raikage activated his own armor, lightning chakra enveloping his entire body.

In an instant, the two Raikages launched themselves toward Mochizuki Hui, intending to end the fight with a single blow.

Hell Stab: One-Fingered Assault!

Two brilliant blue streaks tore through the air as they shot toward Mochizuki Hui. Their strategy was simple: if they couldn't block his fire jutsu, they would eliminate the one casting it.

Both were confident that with their lightning armor, they could charge straight through any flame to reach him.

But they underestimated him, as they always have.

As the two Raikage charged, two clones—Mochizuki Hui's first and second shadow avatars—sprang to life and darted forward to intercept.

And as they advanced, spiraling orbs of chakra appeared in each clone's hands.

Sage Art: Wind Release—Rasenshuriken!

Two massive Rasenshuriken formed, whirring violently, emitting a sharp, slicing sound as they cut through the air.

The Second and Third Raikage felt a wave of dread as the deadly Rasenshuriken closed in on them.

Every instinct of their's screamed danger, yet they had no choice but to charge forward, trusting their lightning armor to protect them.

The clones hurled the Rasenshuriken, which flew toward the Raikage with terrifying speed.

Realizing the projectiles were long-range, the two Raikage managed to dodge with quick adjustments, narrowly avoiding the deadly shuriken as they sailed past.

But Mochizuki Hui's clones only smiled, pressing forward as if luring the Raikage into a trap.

"You think that'll work again?" the Third Raikage growled, tightening his guard.

Last time, he had fallen to Mochizuki Hui's Rasengan aimed at his wrist, which forced his "strongest spear" to pierce his "strongest shield." He wasn't about to let that happen again.

Yet neither clone carried a Rasengan. Both dodged the Raikage's blows, veering away at the last second, leaving the Raikage disoriented. Before they could regroup, a powerful gust erupted behind them, something massive whirring in the distance.

Unknown to them, the Rasenshuriken the clones had thrown could expand on impact. The two shuriken exploded midair, their wind-chakra edges scattering in the midst of Kumogakure's forces, instantly tearing through over a hundred unsuspecting ninja.

And that was only the beginning. Out of the corner of their eyes, the Raikage saw a third, much larger Rasenshuriken, spinning toward them from Mochizuki Hui's own hand.

Sage Art: Super Massive Rasenshuriken!

This one was beyond anything they had ever encountered. As it raced toward them, they felt not just danger, but the imminent threat of death. Dodging was their only option.

The Raikages twisted desperately, pushing their bodies to their physical limits to evade.

Though they managed to escape the full force of the blast, they were still caught at the edge of the expanding sphere, engulfed in the shattering shockwave.

On Moonfall Mountain, Konoha's shinobi watched in stunned silence, their breath held as three radiant spheres of destruction illuminated the battlefield below.

The sight left them utterly speechless, staring in awe at the devastation.

They had been told to unleash their jutsu without holding back, so they knew Mochizuki Hui had some kind of plan.

They had assumed his devastating fire jutsu was the extent of it. But now, witnessing the massive Rasenshuriken annihilate Kumogakure's forces, they understood what it truly meant to fight under "Konoha's Light."

The light slowly faded, revealing the aftermath: scorched earth littered with over a hundred lifeless Kumogakure shinobi, with two bloodied, battered figures struggling to retreat.

The Second and Third Raikage had barely survived, their bodies covered in tiny cuts, every muscle screaming in pain, yet somehow they had managed to flee back to their forces.

"Retreat!" the Second Raikage ordered, his voice hoarse and weak.

Kumogakure's forces quickly gathered their wounded leaders, eager to escape from this terrifying battlefield, away from Hui, whose power was seared into their minds as something unstoppable.

"You want to retreat after coming all the way here? Not so fast!" Mochizuki Hui's first and second shadow avatars, having made it close to the Kumogakure front, sprang forward.

The Rasenshuriken may have dissipated, but their assault was far from over.
