Chapter 184 - Chapter 184

"Teacher…"

Ōnoki's voice trembled as he looked at Mu's lifeless body on the ground. His fists clenched tightly, and tears welled up in his eyes.

At that moment, he was consumed by sorrow and helplessness.

Watching his teacher die right in front of him, knowing there was nothing he could do, was a cruel fate beyond words.

Even though he had mentally prepared himself for this possibility, the reality of the moment still caused Ōnoki's emotions to collapse under the weight of its brutality.

"Lord Second…"

The ninjas of Iwagakure shared his pain.

Like Ōnoki, they gazed at the Second Tsuchikage's corpse, overwhelmed by grief.

Slowly, one of them began to cry.

Soon, countless Iwagakure ninjas were weeping openly, joining their Sunagakure counterparts in a collective mourning that turned the battlefield into a sea of sorrow.

Meanwhile, Hui's second shadow avatar dissolved of its own accord.

The original Hui stood in the sky, looking down at the lifeless bodies of Mu and Shamon, feeling a mix of emotions.

These were the Tsuchikage and Kazekage—two of the most powerful ninjas in the world. Now, both had fallen by his hand.

Breathing out a sigh of relief, Hui turned his gaze across the battlefield and raised his voice, enhanced by a senjutsu technique:

"This battle is over. I have won!

"As such, The war is now over!"

His words echoed across the battlefield, reaching everyone's ears.

Countless ninjas raised their heads to look at Hui standing tall in the sky.

The war was over.

Many felt disoriented. It seemed like this war had barely begun.

Only ten days had passed, a complete contrast to the last great war that had dragged on for years.

It had started too quickly and ended just as abruptly, leaving an air of unreality.

"The war is over," Senju Tobirama declared, a smile on his lips. He looked at Hui with pride and satisfaction.

This boy was his junior, his "student". Hui had inherited his ideals and surpassed his strength.

To Tobirama, he was Konoha's future and the beacon of light toward it's future.

This war had been ignited by Hui, but it had also ended because of him.

This boy, not yet seventeen, had earned the title of "Demigod" during this conflict, recognized across the ninja world as the next God of Shinobi.

Mochizuki Hui was his pride.

"The war is over!"

More and more Konoha ninjas joined in, smiles breaking across their faces.

Then, they erupted in celebration.

"Konoha! Konoha! Konoha!"

"Lord Hui! Lord Hui! Lord Hui!"

The cheers echoed as Konoha's ninjas shouted Hui's name, dancing with joy and jubilation.

Their hearts brimmed with excitement as they looked up at him, now etched in their minds as a godlike figure.

Hui had once again conquered their spirits, leaving an unforgettable mark in their memories.

In that moment, Hui was a god to them, the object of their faith and their light.

In contrast, the Iwa-Suna Alliance ninjas looked at him with eyes full of confusion. Some harbored resentment, but that hatred quickly dissipated.

The boy standing before them was so powerful that the very thought of revenge felt futile. They didn't even know how to face him.

Before the war, they had been full of confidence, imagining the four great villages storming Konoha's gates.

Now, their Kage had been slain, they were prisoners of war, and the conflict had ended in utter defeat.

This shattered their spirits, leaving them completely lost.

Even the Third Kazekage and Ōnoki had lost their usual vigor. Their faces were pale, their expressions desolate as they stared at the bodies of Shamon and Mu, overcome by grief.

This battle had dealt them a devastating blow.

From a distance, the Third Raikage, A, observed the scene and sighed.

He could empathize with what they were feeling.

He had experienced the same despair and helplessness. While he had gradually moved past his grief, a deep uncertainty still lingered.

What would Mochizuki Hui do next? Would he truly aim to end the era of ninja villages and usher in a new age for the ninja world?

If Hui were determined to end the village system, what would become of them? What would become of him? What would become of Kumogakure?

The answers were unclear, and uncertainty clouded his thoughts.

The Third Raikage sighed again.

With someone as overwhelmingly powerful as Mochizuki Hui, the future of the ninja world no longer lay in their hands. It rested solely in his decisions.

For now, Hui could dictate the course of any war. In time, he would single-handedly dominate the entire ninja world.

The war on the Land of Rain front had come to an end.

From start to finish, the conflict had lasted only a brief time.

Yet it had been extraordinarily brutal.

By the war's conclusion, more than ten thousand ninjas from the three villages had perished on this battlefield.

It was a veritable meat grinder.

Among the fallen were many renowned and elite ninjas.

The most famous of them, without question, were Mu and Shamon.

One was the Tsuchikage of Iwagakure, the other the Kazekage of Sunagakure. Both were among the most powerful figures in the ninja world.

Including the Second Raikage of Kumogakure, who had been struck down by Hui with Divine Judgement, Hui had now slain three of the five Second Kage of the Great Villages.

And with the Kirigakure front still unresolved, it was highly likely that the Second Mizukage, Hōzuki Gengetsu, would meet the same fate.

It seemed Mochizuki Hui might soon earn himself another title: The Second Kage Slayer.

After the Land of Rain campaign, Hui led a force of 3,000 ninjas toward the Kirigakure front—the final battlefield of this war.

Senju Tobirama and the other Konoha elites, however, did not accompany him, especially Tobirama.

The conclusion of the war with Iwagakure and Sunagakure didn't mean everything was over. There was still much post-war work to be done.

Most importantly: war reparations.

This concept, introduced by Hui, had been strongly endorsed by Tobirama.

Now, Tobirama needed to negotiate with Ōnoki, the Third Kazekage, and the high-ranking elites of the two villages to finalize the terms of their reparations.

As for the Kirigakure front, there was no need for the others to go.

After witnessing Hui's power, no one doubted the outcome of that battlefield. The war's conclusion was already a foregone conclusion.

Mochizuki Hui, the "Demigod" of the ninja world, was an invincible presence of his era.

His arrival on the Kirigakure battlefield meant the war there would end swiftly.

Many were already speculating whether the Second Mizukage would also fall to him.

In short, everyone had complete faith in Hui. No one doubted his eventual victory.

And so, Hui departed for Kirigakure with just 3,000 ninjas. To those left behind, it was no cause for concern.

They simply awaited the inevitable news of Konoha's victory.

Hui, meanwhile, pushed forward tirelessly toward Kirigakure.

The Konoha forces on that front were up against an enemy three to four times their number, and the war there was bound to be difficult.

The sooner he arrived, the fewer Konoha lives would be lost.

Additionally, the Kirigakure front was commanded by Hiruzen Sarutobi and Danzo Shimura. Tsunade, Orochimaru, and Jiraiya—Hiruzen's disciples—were also fighting there.

For the sake of his girlfriend's safety, Hui was determined to arrive as quickly as possible.

"Wait for me. This war will soon come to a complete end."

Hui's voice was low yet filled with confidence and resolve as he sped toward the final battlefield.
