Chapter 168 - Chapter 168

"Damn it! Isn't Mochizuki Hui supposed to be occupied with Kumogakure's army, stuck back in the Land of Moon? How did he appear here in the Land of Rain?" Yamada Noda cursed, staring up at Hui with a mix of disbelief and creeping fear.

The name "Mochizuki Hui" had become synonymous with strength—a legend acknowledged by all as one of the strongest in the ninja world.

For Yamada Noda, a mere elite jonin not even at Kage level, seeing Hui here was nothing short of terrifying.

"We have three thousand ninja. Yes, three thousand! Quickly—attack! Bring him down!" Yamada Noda barked, panicking as Hui drew closer.

The other ninja snapped to attention, some hastily forming hand signs to launch attacks on the airborne Hui, while others hurled shuriken and kunai up at him with all their might.

But under this chaotic assault, Hui calmly performed a powerful jutsu mid-air.

"Sage Art: Fire Release—Majestic fire Annihilation!"

In an instant, flames erupted from Hui's mouth like the breath of a dragon, unleashing a sea of fire that poured down from the sky.

To the ninja below, all they could see was a blazing red inferno filling their vision, completely obscuring the heavens.

The apocalyptic scene froze them in terror, and their survival instincts kicked in as they frantically formed earth-release defenses.

Earthen walls sprang up, blocking the oncoming firestorm with all their might. Fortunately, as most of them were Iwagakure ninja, skilled in earth-style techniques, they narrowly avoided catastrophic losses from Hui's assault.

When the fire finally stopped, Mochizuki Hui descended to the ground, standing alone against the three thousand ambush troops—a scene eerily similar to Edo Madara facing the Allied Shinobi Forces.

"He… came down?" a ninja next to Yamada Noda muttered in confusion and fear.

That overwhelming fire release had made it clear to them all: the young man before them was, without a doubt, the strongest ninja in the world.

As the three thousand ninja watched, Hui unsheathed his sword and began walking toward them, each step growing faster.

His footsteps seemed to echo with a rhythm that seeped into their minds, filling them with dread, panic, and an oppressive sense of helplessness. They were sweating, breathing heavily, and their faces had turned pale.

At last, unable to hold back any longer, one of the ninja let out a battle cry.

"Arrgghhh!"

With that, all three thousand ninja charged toward Hui.

But as they rushed forward, Hui's eyes glowed with intense focus, divine runes forming in his gaze as he quickened his pace, running to meet them.

A lone figure, charging against three thousand.

The two sides clashed, and in an instant, Hui's blade slashed through several enemies.

Silver-white sword energy radiated from his blade, tearing through anyone in his path without resistance.

It was like a tiger loose among sheep; none of these ordinary ninja could withstand a single strike from him. Each attack ended with his opponent falling instantly.

The difference between them was simply too vast. Hui's strength, speed, and reaction time were at the pinnacle of the ninja world, and with his celestial eye, the attacks of these ordinary ninja seemed to him to be moving in slow motion.

They appeared clumsy, like toddlers barely learning to walk, stumbling toward an adult with raised fists.

It was pure slaughter, a frenzy of killing. Hui felt a strange satisfaction, a rush that echoed what Madara Uchiha must have felt when he annihilated the Allied Forces single-handedly.

Catching a ninja's arm as he lunged forward with a kunai, Hui applied a little force, snapping it effortlessly.

Then, with a single kick, he sent the ninja flying, crashing into several others. The disparity was too great.

The strongest among them was Yamada Noda, an elite jonin, yet there wasn't a single Kage-level opponent. Hui felt no pressure whatsoever.

He moved with a deadly elegance, like a butterfly flitting among flowers, graceful, deadly, and leaving only death in his wake.

At one point, Hui spotted a kunai flying toward him with an explosive tag attached—a sight that left Hui raising an eyebrow.

Unlike the kunai Madara had faced, this one's timing was precise, set to detonate the moment it reached him.

But it was a mistake. This was Mochizuki Hui they were facing.

Without needing hand signs, Hui raised an earthen wall just in front of him.

Boom!

The explosion went off, but the wall remained intact, unaffected. The wall itself was formed from natural energy, requiring no hand signs, able to materialize instantly for both offense and defense.

The sudden formation of the wall stunned the nearby ninja.

Although Hui's movements were so fast that they saw only his afterimage, his ability to perform techniques with such speed was unfathomable.

To them, it was as though he needed no hand signs at all.

As they hesitated, spikes shot out from the earthen wall, piercing the bodies of several ninja standing in front of it, claiming their lives.

They were too weak—before Hui, they were utterly powerless, unable to do anything but watch as his afterimage approached, ending their lives before they even realized it.

Unlike Madara Uchiha, Hui didn't have the Susano'o, but he wielded sword energy.

Each swing of his sword unleashed a silver-white arc, like a powerful Wind Release, slicing through his enemies.

Caught up in the battle, Hui suddenly sensed something and briefly glanced over his shoulder. In a split second, he spun around, reaching up with terrifying speed to grasp at the air.

A figure appeared, dropping from above—it was Yamada Noda, who had been hiding in stealth.

"How… how did you… find me?" Yamada Noda stammered, his sword slipping from his hand as he desperately tried to pry Hui's fingers from his throat.

But the difference in their strength was overwhelming; his face flushed as he strained, unable to move Hui's hand even an inch.

"Nothing here can hide under my perception," Hui said coldly, tightening his grip and crushing Yamada Noda's throat.

Turning to the remaining terrified ninja, Hui spoke in a calm but chilling voice: "Life is the most precious thing in this world, and I take no joy in ending it. But for the sake of those I care about, I will kill without hesitation."

And with that, he vanished in a blur, reappearing beside one of the ninja, his blade slicing through the man's throat.

The slaughter resumed. Ninja after ninja fell before him, helpless to stop him.

Those still alive could only watch, powerless, as their comrades were taken down effortlessly. They saw their own deaths closing in as well.

"He's a demon… a demon!" one ninja screamed in panic, throwing down his weapon and running away.

His terror spread like wildfire, breaking through the mental defenses of everyone around him.

"Run! Run away!"

The ninja turned and fled, desperate to escape the nightmare.

But Konoha's reinforcements had arrived.

A Konoha elite ninja shouted, "Lord Hui once again stands at the front to protect us! But this isn't a one-man battle. We are Lord Hui's subordinates! Now is the time to show what that means!"

"Kill them! Leave none alive!"
