Chereads / SUMMONED BY AN EXTRA NECROMANCER / Chapter 33 - Trapped in.

Chapter 33 - Trapped in.

'Did she just control my body?' As that question echoed in her mind, she instinctively tried to wipe away the blood she felt dripping from her nose with the back of her palm.

However, she felt her sword heavy, as if it was being gripped by something.

She looks down after briefly glancing away from Miyorirath.

Then, she felt trapped as she saw what she could describe as red steel wires connected to her sword.

'That string wasn't there a second ago.' She whispered, her gaze both irked and uncomfortable.

She didn't need to think any further to understand how her enemy had shoved her back.

'But that doesn't explain how she managed to connect those wires to my sword. Maybe the moment I was trying to strike her?' She wonders as she looks up at Miyorirath.

The latter has a sadistic smile that gives her eyes a crescent moon shape.

She didn't speak, but instead moved her fingers slightly, pulling Mystic's sword towards her.

Mystic didn't let go of her sword; consequently, she was also dragged at Miyorirath.

As if the latter expected this reaction, she took this opportunity to bind her strange and strong cables on Mystic's limbs.

"Hehe~, you swordsmen are truly fascinating." Having achieved half of her goal, a cunning smile blossomed on her lips as she looked at Mystic with charming cruelty.

Currently, Mystic's body is suspended in the air, just a meter away from Miyorirath.

Although barely visible, Miyorirath's strings bound her limbs, spreading them apart, like prey caught by the spider's webs.

"All you had to do was give up your sword, but you didn't." She continued, nonchalantly.

All the pressure she felt a few seconds ago now seemed to have vanished, freeing her consciousness.

If Devon saw this anomaly, he would instantly understand that it was a binding skill he had seen in Miyorirath's information—Blood puppet.

As Mystic exerted her full power in an attempt to free herself from Miyorirath's bloody steel wires, the latter nonchalantly removed her helmet, exposing her face.

She then took a small amount of blood from under Mystic's nose, which she then licked.

The moment Mystic's blood landed on her palate, the latter felt an icy chill run through her body shuddering her.

This strange feeling was more alarming to Mystic than her current situation.

However, she didn't let her emotions take control over her common sense.

"Now, Let's deal with you," Miyorirath muttered with a vicious smile worthy of a sadist.

"…"

"Your beast, I want it! Free it from your influence so I can get it, that's all I ask if you want a quick and painless death!"

-

"Shit! This damn wolf is really starting to get on my nerves!"

Just like her, Devon was also facing his share of difficulties.

Seventy meters from Mystic and Miyorirath, two of the four wolves were coldly on the ground, lifeless.

The last two, whose alpha wolf still pursued Devson at a running pace and without respite.

Armed with a sword, Devon countered the sharp claws of the alpha who was faster than him and the other wolves.

Just after deflecting his attack by changing its trajectory with his sword, he leaped towards the other wolf to cut him down with a slash!

'I must get rid of this nuisance before it's too late!'

Getting rid of the weakest to take care of the strongest, was his strategy from the start.

Knowing that he couldn't kill the alpha with a single attack and that his minions would hinder him if he decided to only focus on him, Devon didn't really have another ace up his sleeve.

At first, it worked very well.

But surprisingly, after killing the first two blood wolves, the alpha became wild and prevented Devon from landing a destructive blow against his last minion.

This fact pushed him to figure out something crucial—the alpha didn't only gain in power, but in intelligence!

As crazy as it seemed, he had no other hypotheses to explain the alpha's overactivity.

However, just when he thought he had surpassed the alpha and had the last troublemaker within his reach, the terrifying beast violated his field of vision from above.

-Shit!

Alarmed by this imminent threat, he crossed his arms to protect the core embedded in his chest against the alpha's claws.

Although he could transform his sword into a shield, he knew he wouldn't have time before the wolf reached him.

But to his great and terrible surprise, his enemy didn't use his claws, but his snout!

He bit his arm that held his sword and tore it from his body!

'-!! My arm!!'

Because of this unexpected event, Devon momentarily forgot the first target that was waiting for him below.

Too impatient, and guided by his pack-hunting instinct, the other wolf jumped in turn towards Devon who was about to land, and bit his left leg!

-Ugh!

Devon's body rolled on the ground before being stopped by the wall behind him, Mystic's starting point!

At first, seized with a natural panic in the face of helplessness, Devon's eyes widened, overwhelmed by a blue fear.

Unlike Mystic who showed nothing despite her desperate situation, Devon was different.

Not to mention being dismembered alive, it was his first time to suffer such a serious injury, whether in this life or the former.

As a result, his mind blurred when he saw his Leg and his arm in the jaws of the two mutant wolves.

However, an important detail that he had not noticed at first, revealed itself to him as a real source of inspiration.

'Huh? I don't feel anything, not even a form of pain similar to tingling. Am I insensitive to pain?'

He wasn't sure, despite the facts being before his eyes.

-GRRR!!

It was only after hearing the alpha's growl that he woke up from his shock.

'I see, this body has no organs, no nerves, not to mention blood, only made of piles of bones and a scarlet core; I must look really stupid to think I could feel pain.'

With this realization, and the strong desire to laugh out loud, he stood up on his right foot, toddling to save his balance.

'Heh, what's the worst that could happen since I'm undead?' The thought entered his mind along with a wave of madness in his eyes.

Once his fear was cleared, his mind cleared, helping him analyze the situation more fully.

'Fighting with a sword is good, it's even cool, I have to admit. However, I must not focus solely on that to the point of neglecting my other advantages.'

He then pretends to take a deep breath, just to calm himself, and manifests his dark energy on his body.

This time, he didn't try to contain it just in his palm, but all over his body, regardless of the amount it asked.

For some reason, the two wolves stood guard when they saw this scene happening with their prey.

However, Devon didn't just manifest his aura.

According to the description of his system, he could use his skill to create whatever he wanted as long as two conditions were met.

The first, having the exact image of what he wanted to create, and the second, the necessary energy.

The first idea that came to his mind was to replace his limbs by creating a kind of prosthesis to restore his mobility.

As soon as this idea crossed his mind, his dark energy condensed on certain parts of his body, namely, his shoulder and his pelvis.

In just two seconds, black but simple bone shapes replaced the missing parts of his body, surprising even himself.

'Unlike Telephaty, this skill is pretty productive for me and especially easy to use—it's almost scary.' He said with striking eyes.

He then spreads his arms, commanding his dark energy to create dozens of black needles.

An inspired use of the spell Miyorirath had used a few moments before.

At this sight, the alpha decides to act before it's too late.

Although he is a beast, he still has instincts. It was these instincts that had prevented them from rushing towards their prey that was half alive.

But seeing that he was still on the attack, they could not flee, their master's order was absolute.

However, just before he erases the distance between them and Devon, the latter swings his hand towards them, sending his projectiles at them with a simple mental command!

At the same time, aware that it would not be enough to take down the two wolves, he creates two long blades on the edge of his both hands and rushes towards them!

He has abandoned all ideas of defense.

He now has only one goal in mind, to kill them both, no matter how many injuries he will have to suffer.

As unintelligent as they were, the two wolves knew how to judge when the situation was or wasn't in their favor.

Between Devon who underestimated the power, speed, and corrosive harmful effects of his skill, and the two wolves who, despite the danger of the situation, had no choice but to continue the fight by charging with everything they had, the balance immediately tipped in Devon's favor.

As soon as he released his projectiles, they, like revolver bullets, pierced the air toward the two wolves, piercing them like plastic walls!

-

'That bitch! Why she's smiling!?'

On Miyorirath's side, her annoyance was visible in her eyes despite the situation still being in her favor.

Since she captured her prey and took her blood, the outcome of the battle seemed to be decided.

However, true to her sadistic tendencies, what she wanted to see the most was the despair in her victim's eyes before sending him to the afterlife.

What's better than torture to reach that goal?

Although she hadn't yet raised her hand to Mystic, the latter was bleeding profusely and mysteriously.

In reality, she was currently living what seems worse than hell.

With Miyorirath's skills, as long as it was blood, she could easily control it after coming into contact with it.

For this, certain conditions must be met; contact with the blood of her target is one of the most important conditions.

Therefore, what she inflicted on Mystic was not ordinary torture, but a real ordeal.

'Why doesn't she scream or beg me? Why such an impassive expression despite seeing her life flash before her eyes? Isn't she supposed to be begging me?'

Her mind struggled to keep up as she stared into Mystic's bloody red eyes.

'Is she dead?' She couldn't help but wonder as she saw Mystic not blinking.

Despite her heightened senses, she had trouble feeling her breathing and the beating of her heart.

This hypothesis made her more frustrated than ever joyful. It was both strange and frightening, her level of sadism.

Just when she wanted to check to be sure, Mystic spits the blood on her cheek and grinned.

"Believe me, I will kill you in a pretty exciting way when the time comes." She retorted, her tone still cold and indifferent.
