-Alexis Lycan, 18 Years Old-
"Hello again, sinner."
These three words send alarm bells ringing inside of Alexis' head. As he jolts upwards out of shock, he feels the sharpened edge of a knife press against his throat. Feeling the blade, Alexis freezes in place. It would only take a short jerking motion for his lifeblood to be spilled on the ground. He has already felt the cold and frightening embrace of death once before. The prospect of a second encounter quickly subdued the young Duke.
"Get up slowly." The beautiful voice in his ear whispers. "I won't hurt you." She giggles.
Alexis raises his hands up slowly with his palms open. He wants to show that he is unarmed and not resisting. He slowly climbs to his feet, wary of the blade at his neck.
"Okay, I'm up." Alexis says slowly and quietly. He does not want to draw the attention of his soldiers. Some sixth sense is telling him that he was dealing with a dangerous opponent. "Now what?"
