Chapter 18 - Projectile Shot

Elian quickly clicked to see the skill description.

*System Skill*

_Projectile shot_: Allows Elian to release a perfect shot encompassing power, speed and precision to a single location which he chooses (The shot can only be released from anywhere within the opponents halve).  Duration: one shot  Cost: 50 stamina points. Backlash: None. (Level up to increase the number of shots.)

A big smile spread across Elian's face. This was the best skill so far, it allowed him to shoot the ball with a 99 percent chance of scoring if he chose the right location. Elian laughed out loud, surprising his teammates a bit. He was becoming overpowered already.

Elian's main happiness came from the fact that the skill didn't possess any backlash, moreover, he could still level up the skill, increasing the number of shots he could release with the skill.

PSG's coach shouted from the sidelines. "It's not over yet, the score is only three to one, there's more than enough time for us to level the score, go!"

"Heh, he's still hopeful." Elian said in a low tune, enough for only Meta to hear him.

Meta chuckled slightly. "Why won't he? It's really not over yet."

Elian nodded. "Well, that's true. But with the best coach in the world in my head, it's as good as over for them."

Meta was quiet, he didn't reply that. But he couldn't deny the fact that it made him feel quite important.

Pii!

The score was 3-1 with City's U-19 team in the lead. Elian had participated in all the three goals his team had scored. He had two assists and one goal.

He was now in level three.

Arlo passed the ball straight down to Jude with a lofted pass and the moment he did that, he dashed inwards.

Jude didn't bother bringing the ball down, the same way it came to him from above, that was the same way he kicked it forward, finding Arlo easily.

City's defenders inhaled sharply, they hadn't seen that coming. The moment Arlo released that pass for the kick off, they all charged in, looking to go on a high press, but Jude had taken them by surprise, sending the ball flying in the same way.

Arlo dashed forward, he was being chased but he didn't panic. He had just enough time to do what he intended on doing.

*Thomp!*

Arlo released a shot with the strongest force he could possibly muster.

The stadium took in a sharp breath and then it paused, they weren't breathing again.

Arlo's shot kept on going faster and faster, not slowing down one bit. The ball zoomed forward, aiming for the top corner.

Dean dived, stretching his hands to get even if it was a fingertip to the ball, but the angle was too tight.

And the next moment…

Pang!

GOALL!!!!!

The entire stadium broke into a bout of claps. It was a spectacular goal indeed. Even city's fans too clapped, it was certainly not pleasant that their team had conceded, but when it was a goal like that, everyone had to clap. That would surely be the best goal of the season.

This was what they all thought, and they would have been correct, had someone like Elian not existed.

Elian's eyes shone brightly, he looked as excited as ever.

"What's with the glitter in your eyes?" Noah asked, noticing the bright look in Elian's eyes.

Elian stared at him, his eyes burning as bright as ever. "Nothing. I just got a clean idea."

Elian contacted the system immediately, he added the shot Arlo just used to perfect copy's limited storage space.

Elian turned to Ivan as he placed the ball on the center of the field.

"Let's recreate that!" Elian shouted.

The score was now 3-2. But it was about to change.

Pii!

Elian released a lofted ball to down to the defense lines where Santiago was. As he did, Elian rushed into their opponents halve, catching them by surprise, just as Arlo had done.

Ivan was up to the task, he didn't waste any time in releasing the cross into their opponents halve, where Elian had already broken through the high defense lines.

Elian knew the defenders were coming for him, but he wasn't bothered, just as Arlo wasn't.

*Thomp!*

The stadium paused, forgetting to breathe. This was awesome, what a perfect copy.

Two seconds later…

GOALLL!!!!!!

Elian clapped his hands together, what was there? Why did they act as if Arlo had done something so awesome?

There, he had just recreated the same thing right away.

As a matter of fact, it was even more spectacular than Arlo's was.
