Naruto arrived at Mount Myoboku, and the first to greet him was his close friend, Gamakichi, followed by Gamatora, who was eagerly asking Naruto for snacks.
After greeting his familiar friends at Mount Myoboku, Naruto went to meet Fukasaku.
Upon seeing Naruto, Fukasaku said, "Ah, it's little Naruto."
"The last time you were here was three months ago, right? My wife talks about you often, probably because you enjoyed her cooking so much."
Naruto quickly replied, "This time, I'm here for something really important. We can talk about food later."
Fukasaku asked, "Oh? What brings you to Mount Myoboku?"
Naruto explained, "Konoha Village is about to face a massive crisis. With my current strength, I can't handle it. I hope you can help me become stronger."
After thinking for a moment, Fukasaku said, "I see. Judging by your current situation, it's time for you to begin that training."
Naruto eagerly asked, "That training? What kind of training is it?"
Fukasaku jumped onto a large rock and explained, "What I'll teach you next is beyond ordinary ninjutsu. It's called Sage Mode."
"If you succeed in mastering it, your ninjutsu, taijutsu, and even genjutsu will be greatly enhanced."
Following Fukasaku's guidance, Naruto began his training. At first, he struggled to sense the natural energy needed for Sage Mode.
Fukasaku used the special oil of Mount Myoboku to help Naruto feel the chakra, gradually teaching him to control it.
However, since Naruto couldn't use a large number of shadow clones for this training, the process was relatively slow.
Still, he managed to complete the first phase in a short time. Meanwhile, back in Konoha, just as Naruto had predicted, the negotiations with the Land of Earth failed.
In Tsuchikage Onoki's words: "There's no choice. If the Black Flash doesn't die, then war is inevitable."
Tensions quickly escalated, and many shinobi were dispatched to the small countries around the borders.
To avoid involving the Land of Wind in large-scale conflict, the Land of Earth decided to launch their attack on the Land of Fire through the Land of Grass.
The conflict between the two great nations was now poised to take place in the Land of Grass.
Onoki was well aware of both nations' military strength. While they were both considered great powers, Konoha was still stronger in comparison.
However, due to various pressures, the Land of Earth had no choice but to press forward.
Initially, no large-scale battles broke out; there were only small skirmishes.
With Jiraiya and Shikaku strategizing for Konoha, they maintained the upper hand in these smaller encounters.
The Land of Earth, though sending elite shinobi, struggled due to the overall strength gap.
They began looking for other ways to gain an advantage.
Other nations closely watched the actions of both sides, as the leaders of the great nations were ultimately motivated by self-interest.
Seeing that a confrontation with Konoha wasn't working, the Land of Earth sought alliances with other nations.
The Land of Wind, already an ally of Konoha, sent a few shinobi to assist.
The Land of Lightning, meanwhile, chose to stay neutral, hoping to profit from the conflict. The Land of Earth had little success in forming alliances.
Though the journey to the Land of Water was long, the Land of Earth's emissaries finally arrived there, and this time they had a bit of luck.
Kirigakure (the Hidden Mist Village) did not give a clear answer but hinted at its ambitions.
Kirigakure had a grudge against Naruto after suffering a defeat at his hands, and they harboured a desire for revenge.
They promised the Land of Earth that if an opportunity arose, they would indeed attack the Land of Fire.
When Onoki received this news, he was frustrated. "A bunch of opportunists who want to profit without taking any risks," he thought.
However, after reflecting on the situation, he realized that this was the way of great nations.
At least Kirigakure had shown some interest, which was better than nothing.
While the Land of Earth was still at a disadvantage, the possibility of defeating Konoha had increased slightly.
Meanwhile, across the entire shinobi world, tensions continued to rise. Even smaller nations, fearing for their survival, began taking measures.
The atmosphere in the shinobi world was becoming increasingly volatile. Back at Mount Myoboku, Naruto was still training in Sage Mode.
Although he had completed the first phase, Sage Mode training was extremely difficult.
As the skirmishes continued, the number of casualties grew, and tensions intensified.
What began as small-scale conflicts was evolving into larger battles, leading to an escalating cycle of violence.
More and more shinobi were drawn into the war, and feelings of hatred began to arise.
The fighting became more brutal, with neither side willing to stop until the other was completely defeated.
Many younger shinobi, who had never experienced the horrors of a full-scale war, found themselves unprepared for the large-scale slaughter.
The shinobi of the Land of Earth were known for their fearless and aggressive tactics, but Konoha's overall strength gave them an edge.
Both sides had their strengths and weaknesses, and the battle reached a stalemate.
However, with the war having escalated to this point, neither side could back down.
The conflict would only end when a clear victor emerged. The Land of Grass, often caught in the crossfire, was now engulfed in the flames of war.
Still, neither side had deployed their most powerful shinobi yet, as they both hoped to gain the upper hand in the early stages.
Konoha had the genius strategist Shikaku, but Onoki, with his many years of experience, was no easy opponent.
The tactical battle between these two brilliant minds made for a fierce and unpredictable conflict.
As the war dragged on, pressure from within the Land of Earth mounted. The people were growing impatient, urging Onoki to speed up the war.
Left with no choice, Onoki expanded the scope of the conflict, hoping that once Konoha deployed a large portion of its forces, Kirigakure would seize the opportunity to attack.
Onoki sent his most trusted subordinates, Kenji and Akane, to lead a surprise assault on Konoha while mobilizing a large force of Iwagakure shinobi.
The plan was to launch a full-scale offensive after the initial strike succeeded.
However, Shikaku sensed Onoki's moves and warned Jiraiya to be cautious.
Konoha responded by sending reinforcements, including powerful shinobi like Kakashi and Guy, to the border of the Land of Grass.
Iwagakure initiated a night raid, sending in a small force at first, followed by a massive wave of troops, hoping to overwhelm Konoha with sheer numbers.
But Konoha had already prepared for this, and they too deployed a large force, setting the stage for a decisive showdown.
Iwagakure shinobi were experts in Earth Release jutsu, and in large-scale warfare, their combined techniques were highly effective.
Konoha, on the other hand, did not have as much expertise in Earth Release, but they made up for it with the many powerful clans that possessed secret techniques.
This made it difficult for Iwagakure to gain the upper hand.
In such battles, it would ultimately come down to the elite shinobi of both sides, as they were often the ones who could turn the tide of war.
Among these elite ninjas, two individuals particularly stood out.
One, using a variety of ninjutsu techniques, weaved through the battlefield, and every time they struck, another Iwagakure ninja fell.
Regular ninjutsu did not affect him.
The other relied on superior taijutsu, with both speed and power reaching the pinnacle of physical combat, charging through the battlefield like an unstoppable force.
These two exchanged words from time to time, seemingly in competition. They were none other than Kakashi Hatake and Might Guy.
Their extraordinary performances not only earned cheers from the Konoha ninjas but also drew the attention of the Iwagakure forces.
From the ranks of Iwagakure's main army, a figure leapt forward.
Dressed in Iwagakure's standard uniform with short hair, she appeared to be a gentle young woman.
Standing with one hand on her hip, she said, "So you're the famous Copy Ninja of Konoha—Kakashi Hatake. How about you take me on as your opponent?"
Kakashi recognized her strength and activated his Sharingan. "So, it's you, Kurotsuchi, Tsuchikage's prized granddaughter. Seems like I have to give it my all."
Beside him, Guy shouted, "And who are you? Don't forget about the noble Blue Beast of Konoha! What you saw earlier was just my warm-up."
"My youth is only just beginning to burn! How about you be my opponent instead? Kakashi, you can wait."
Seeing Guy, Kurotsuchi broke into a cold sweat. She had heard of Guy's reputation, but facing such an opponent wasn't something she was keen on.
Fortunately for her, a towering figure appeared behind her. It wasn't just a big man—calling him a giant mound of earth would be more fitting.
This was Akatsuchi, the son of the Tsuchikage.
Akatsuchi stepped forward and addressed Guy, "So, you're the best taijutsu user in Konoha, Might Guy? I'll be your opponent."
Akatsuchi's arrival was a relief for Kurotsuchi, but Guy was puzzled. "And who are you? Never mind, let's have a youthful showdown!" Guy declared, preparing for battle.
Kakashi couldn't help but sigh at Guy's antics, even in the heat of combat.
Guy raised a fist in his typical fighting stance and declared, "Kakashi, this is a new challenge! Let's see who can defeat their opponent first!"
With that, he charged at Akatsuchi, delivering a textbook high kick. Akatsuchi effortlessly raised his arm to block it, remaining unmoved.
Guy's kick, despite being intercepted, felt like striking solid rock. In response, Akatsuchi formed a fist with his other hand and swung it like a small mountain toward Guy.
Sensing the danger, Guy dodged swiftly, reappearing behind Akatsuchi.
Akatsuchi's missed punch struck the ground, causing the earth to tremble, but Guy had already landed a punch to his back.
However, Akatsuchi didn't flinch and countered with another punch, forcing Guy to retreat.
Guy glanced at his palm, which was bleeding slightly from the impact, realizing that Akatsuchi's defence was incredibly tough.
Kakashi, observing from the side, knew that Guy was up against a difficult opponent.
Meanwhile, Kurotsuchi leaped high into the air, using a water-style technique. "Water Release: Water Trumpet!"
A large stream of water surged toward Kakashi. In response, Kakashi quickly formed seals. "Earth Release: Multiple Earth Walls!"
Walls of earth rose around Kakashi, blocking the water attack, which flowed around the walls without reaching him.
The surrounding ninjas, including Guy and Akatsuchi, distanced themselves to avoid getting caught in Kakashi and Kurotsuchi's battle.
Kurotsuchi smirked, "As expected from the Copy Ninja. You're even skilled in earth-style techniques."
Without pausing, she continued her hand signs, "Lava Release: Quicklime Congealing Technique!"
Kurotsuchi spat out a large amount of fast-acting cement that mixed with the water, creating a powerful flow of mud and lime that surged past Kakashi's earth walls.
Through his Sharingan, Kakashi could sense the danger of this technique.
The mixture of water and lime created a mudslide that covered the area, eventually hardening into a solid block of concrete.
However, Kakashi was nowhere to be seen. Landing on the ground, Kurotsuchi taunted, "Kakashi, I knew that wouldn't work on you."
"You're good with earth-style techniques, after all. But how long are you planning to hide?"
Kurotsuchi began weaving signs again, "Earth Release: Rising Earth!"
A stream of mud shot up from beneath Kakashi, who was briefly caught off guard and lifted into the air.
Seizing the opportunity, Kurotsuchi cast another jutsu, "Lava Release: Quicklime Congealing Technique!"
She spread cement across the ground, which rapidly expanded. Kakashi, mid-air, quickly adjusted and observed the situation on the ground.
Alarmed, he formed hand seals, "Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"
The intense heat from his fire technique caused the cement to harden before Kakashi landed.
But just as he landed, a large shadow loomed overhead—Kurotsuchi had sprayed another batch of liquid cement into the air, while the ground beneath Kakashi was already covered in cement.
She smirked, "Not bad, Copy Ninja, but this time I've changed the water-cement ratio. Your fire techniques won't work here."
Kakashi found himself in a tight spot, while Guy wasn't faring much better.
Akatsuchi's strength was overwhelming, and even Guy, with all his speed, would be severely injured if he took a direct hit.
Fortunately, Guy had a speed advantage, but the real issue was Akatsuchi's defence.
After taking a few blows, Guy pulled out his nunchaku, a weapon that perfectly suited his combat style.
It allowed him to deliver powerful strikes with agility.
However, he still couldn't break through Akatsuchi's iron-like defence—he was merely protecting his hands from harm.
With Guy struggling to find an opening, Akatsuchi began launching wide-area attacks, expanding the range of his strikes, which put Guy in constant danger.
Kakashi, meanwhile, started focusing his lightning-style chakra. Instead of dodging, he activated his Lightning Blade and charged toward the liquid cement above him.
Because of the altered composition, the cement hadn't fully hardened yet, and Kakashi sliced through it like butter.
Not only did he break through the lava release, but he also rushed toward Kurotsuchi.
However, Kurotsuchi reacted quickly, using "Lava Release: Quicklime Wall Technique" to form a cement wall in an instant.
Kakashi's Lightning Blade pierced through the wall, but he lost momentum and couldn't inflict any more damage.
As Kakashi stepped back, he thought, "This is bad. This cement wall is far tougher than regular earth walls."
Kurotsuchi paused and remarked, "Your Lightning Blade is indeed powerful, Kakashi."
