Chapter 14 - White Eyed Demon

They reached the back door leading out to the cabin, the cold air biting at their skin as they stepped outside. A heavy fog had settled over the graves, shrouding everything in an eerie, silvery haze. In the distance, the tall, black silhouette of a twisted oak tree marked the place on the map where the first tombstone and hopefully, the first gem was supposed to be.

Olivia and Mia followed the map's directions through the dimly lit cemetery, the silence around them punctuated by the distant creaks and groans of the wind. Shadows seemed to shift with each step, and Olivia couldn't shake the feeling that something was watching them, lurking just out of sight.

"Over there," Olivia whispered, her voice barely audible in the dense mist.

They moved forward cautiously, each step bringing them closer to the shadowed tree. As they approached, a soft whisper floated through the air, barely discernible but unmistakably present. Mia froze, gripping Olivia's arm.

"Did… did you hear that?" Mia's voice was a strained whisper, her eyes wide as she glanced around the fog-laden graves.

Before Olivia could respond, a faint glow flickered from the base of the oak tree. They exchanged a look, both knowing this was likely the tombstone they sought. They pushed on, the glowing light becoming clearer as they neared, revealing a single tombstone marked with an ancient-looking symbol that mirrored the one they'd seen in the black bible.

Just as Mia knelt down to reach for the tombstone, a sudden gust of wind swept through the cemetery, and the fog thickened, curling around them like tendrils. The ground trembled beneath their feet, and the eerie whispering grew louder, echoing all around them. Olivia's heart raced, her eyes darting as shadows seemed to shift and close in on them.

Then, from the depths of the fog, a figure began to emerge, moving toward them with slow, deliberate steps. Cloaked in darkness, its form was barely distinguishable, but its eyes glowed a chilling, unnatural white.

"Olivia… do you see that?" Mia's voice was barely audible, her eyes fixed on the figure moving closer.

Olivia's mouth went dry. She felt an overwhelming pull, like the figure's gaze was drawing her in, compelling her to step forward.

Without thinking, she moved toward it, her heart pounding as she met those piercing eyes. She heard Mia calling her name, felt Mia's hand pulling at her arm, but it was as though she were moving in a dream. The fog seemed to part around her, clearing the way as she stepped closer and closer to the figure.

The figure extended a hand toward her, and Olivia found herself mirroring the gesture, reaching out despite the warning voice echoing in her mind.

"Olivia!" Mia's voice rang out in panic.

Just as their fingertips were about to touch, the figure's face twisted into a haunting smile, deep and cold voice.

"A human to feast at last…"

And in that instant, a tall silhouette emerged from the big oak tree beside the tombstone that Olivia and Mia were looking for.

As the moonlight shines on that shadowy silhouette, its appearance made the duo scared as what it looks was something straight from hell.

What they saw was a creep looking monster, its skin a sickly pale stretched tightly over sharp bones, creating a thin, ghastly figure. It had a horn on both sides of its head. Its eyes are empty sockets filled with a chilling white light, revealing a deep hunger as it looks at them.

The sharp, elongated features of its face contort into a sardonic smile, revealing rows of jagged teeth that glint ominously in the dim light.

Mia, who was trembling at the side of Olivia said "What kind of monster is that?"

Olivia who was looking at it "I don't know but whatever monster is that is something that we cannot fight."

As the monster was looking at them like they were delicacies, they spoke again "Two fresh plump women" and it sniffed "And one of them is virgin, looks like this feast is gonna be good" then it pervertedly laughed sending chilling feelings to Olivia and Mia.

That demon's laugh was a chilling mix of high-pitched crackles and deep, rumbling chuckles. It starts with a sharp, mocking sound that echoes eerily, then shifts into a low, unsettling growl. Each laugh is filled with malice, making it clear that the demon enjoys spreading fear.

As the demon's eerie laugh faded into the darkness, the air grew heavy with tension. The two plump women stood trembling, their eyes wide with terror as the creature emerged from the shadows. Its pale skin glinted in the dim light, and its white eyes locked onto them, gleaming with a predatory hunger.

Slowly, the demon began to approach, its elongated fingers brushing against the ground, each movement deliberate and menacing. The women instinctively took a step back, their hearts racing.

With a voice smooth and chilling, the demon spoke, "You look so… enticing. Tell me, how does it feel to be the main course?" Each word dripped with malice, echoing around them, intensifying their fear as it continued to close the distance, savoring their panic like a fine wine.

As the demon drew closer, Olivia noticed that the chains around its neck, wrists, and ankles glowed faintly, intricate inscriptions that pulsed with light. The symbols seemed to writhe as if alive, hinting that there's magic binding the creature to something beyond their comprehension.

Beside her, Mia gripped the cross tightly, her voice barely above a whisper. "I don't want to die young!"

The demon paused, its cruel smile widening as it regarded them. "Oh, my dear," it taunted, voice dripping with mock sympathy, "it's not about age, it's about the taste." The chilling words hung heavy in the air as it continued to advance, relishing their terror, the glowing chains clinking softly, each sound echoing like a reminder of its dark power.

Olivia's mind raced as she thought about the glowing chains binding the demon. If it was restrained, perhaps there were limits to its reach. Gripping Mia's arm, she slowly backed away while keeping her gaze locked on the creature.

The demon's eyes narrowed, sensing her realization. With a sly grin, it leaned closer, its voice a low, menacing whisper. "You think you can escape? You are already mine, bound to this moment." It stepped forward, its chains rattling ominously. "No matter how far you run, my presence will haunt you. You can't outrun your fate."

Olivia's heart raced, but she forced herself to stand firm, determined not to show fear. The demon relished their terror, its twisted smile widening as it sensed the doubt creeping into their minds, ready to strike when they were most vulnerable.
