"Haah... haa... haha," panted all three of my teammates after enduring what could only be described as hell. The relentless hammering on the door had finally stopped as the sun had finally risen, and for the first time in hours, we could breathe a sigh of relief.
"Urgh…" A groan of pain pulled my attention. I turned to see Leon slumped against the wall, his face pale as a ghost, lips cracked and ashen. He looked like death warmed over. The venom coursing through his veins had drained him of strength, and it was clear he didn't have much time left.
"That's right!" Elena exclaimed, snapping out of her exhaustion-induced daze as her eyes locked onto Leon. "W-where's your antidote?" she demanded, forcing her tired body to move. She was running on sheer willpower, knowing Leon would be too far gone to administer it himself.
"It… it should be… it…" Leon wheezed, his words incoherent.
