It was a cold morning I remembered. The rain was beginning to freshly pour from the sky in torrents of wrathful drops. I remembered that because it was the day I died. It was a very quant day I thought as it started off good enough, with just clouds and it being a saturday so no work.Â
I was sitting at the library browsing for some free books to read that day as my book fund was not where I wanted it to be that day, as I was saving up for a new set of Type-moon books and Tokyo Raven. It has been awhile since I read them, and I was saving up for potential limited edition copies for my collection like I did with Apocrypha reprints.Â
I was reading a japanese copy of the harry potter series when the sound of thunder seemingly shook the building. "Well, thats something" I thought to myself as I continued on reading. It was only after the third time when a bookcase fell over I decided maybe I should leave.Â
As I was leaving my section of the library I was in, I felt a swift impact of a bookcase falling on me and I blacked out almost immediately. With the barest fragments of my mind still concious I was able to percieve something strange in my frame of vision. It was a woman who wore what seemed like a flowing white dress. The only words I could say before I collapsed was "Beautiful".
"Beautiful huh" I heard as my eyes opened up to a strange space around me. It was pitch black, where the only defineable feature was a throne room which looked like it was broken and fragmented. The grandest feature here was a women sitting on a throne at the far end, the words being uttered by her lips.Â
She wore a flowing white dress, her dark hair cascading down to her waist. Her arms were slender and refined, and her presence denoted power. Her head was adorned with a modest circlet that was made of a varnished silver.Â
"Who are you?!" I shout to her as her beauty seemingly captivated my senses. She seems unpurturbed by me yelling, and her smile stays on her face as if she is amused by my words and tone. She rose from her place and began walking towards me with a supernatural grace.Â
"My name? I could not pronounce my name in the mortal tongue, but you can call me Myne" said the woman now known as Myne. Her words seem to contain a power in them, as if the very world would submit to her every word. It was a strange feeling as her words seem to shake my very soul.Â
Her hand seemed to graze my face as we both looked each other in the eyes. A gleaming light was present and emphasized in her eyes, as if she was scanning me for all I was worth. "How rare, a singularity" she said in her beautiful and melodic voice.Â
'Singularity?' I thought to myself as I wondered what that meant for me. "I have never had the chance to meet many singularities. Meeting you was a chance of fate I suppose, though I thing it should mind its business" said Myne, complaining and celebrating at the same time.Â
"What is a singularity?" I asked with my curiosity in full swing. I wanted to know what it meant connected to me. "An interesting question" muttered Myne as she then waved her hand as a wave of energy seemed to envelope them, and from this energy came holographic images.Â
"A singularity is a being who is the only one of themself, where no other universe or parallel world version of them exists due to all their existences being fused into one person, a singularity" said Myne as she pointed at the various moving images which illustrated multiple bodies fusing into one being.Â
I then felt something, like a damn was being opened within my own soul as a wave of energy began to emerge from my form. I was forced to the gorund due to the amount of power that was present. I struggled trying to get up, but I realized Myne wasn't even fazed, and even seemed to revel in this energy and the energy seemed to divert around her.Â
"How interesting" said Myne as she raised her hand and the energy halted. After what seemed like a breath of time, the energy began to flow back into my own body. "How novel, I feel alot more alive now that I have seen something like this. you interest me" she muttered as she now forced me to stand and the room changed into one like a tea room in various victorian shows.Â
I sat down at an offered chair, the chair being ornately carved from oak and gilded with gold. It had red velvet cushions and the table itself was carved from oak and was laiden with a silk cover that was soft to the touch. On the table was a metal pot and two tea cups. The spout was letting out some steam, showing whatever inside was doen boiling.Â
Myne sat opposite of me, and he fingers pointed at the metal pot and it began to float and pour tea. The tea was steeming hot and the tea itself was being filled with sugar and milk to suit the drinker. I took a drink of the hot tea and was surprised it did not burn but still had the scalding feeling. It was a quaint surprise and I was startled when Myne coughed to get my attention.
"So, your probably wondering whats gonna happen now right?" asked Myne as she sipped at her tea, her pinky extended with grace. "Yes" I said to her. "Well, reincarnation is your best bet, of course you can refuse-" "I want reincarnation" I shouted before she could complete her sentence.Â
"Huh, some people would consider other options you know" said Myne as she was admonishing me for picking without much thought, though I could detect a hint of amusement in her words. "Well, reincarnation it is. Though there is a few stipulations. One, you cannot pick your world, and the second one is you can't pick looks or family though it is geared in your favor" she said as I expected more to come. "Oh, also your boons are already decided" she said as five orbs appeared before her.Â
"Boons?" I said in curiosity, wondering if the event happening before me was really happening. "Yes, your perks or abilities for your new life, of course in exchange for something" said Myne. "Something?" I said as I felt something leave me, and some memories seemed muddled. "Yes, I took some energy from you and muddled your memories to remove certain precognotic advantages. Of course, you will have feelings and surges of knowledges regarding things as you encounter them but thats it, now enjoy" she said as she then shoved me into a portal along with my boons.Â
'Where am I?' I thought to myself as all I saw was dark. I was surrounded by warm, viscous fluid and was surrounded by flesh like walls. Scratch that, it was flesh like walls. 'Im in the womb aren't I' I asked myself already knowing the answer. I sat there in the darkness contemplating my reincarnation. I then felt something prick my brain, as if trying to stick a needle inside and something began to flow within me. I felt five stars awaken within me as if they were my own personal constellation. I knew what they were, my boons from reincarnation. Of course, one seemed the most outlandish to me, the infinite energy boon.Â
[Infinite energy] grants exactly what is stated, infinite energy for any use including magic. Can be used alongside other powersystems as a melding point.
'Overpower, thy name is' I thought in exasperation. I mean, even my other powers are downright godly, if not straight up divine. Regeneration, self-sufficiency, and more. If I was stranded, I could get by no problem. Any complicated spell with ungodly amounts of mana required, no problem. 'Why do I have the ominous feeling of my new life' I thought in dejection as I felt a sudden lurch and I began to slow downwards. 'Its time to be born' I thought as I saw the light at the end of the 'tunnel'.Â
I remember my mom telling me about the process, and how it screwed her up so bad she had to stay in the hospitle for weeks, and she said my stay was even longer. As I exited the birth canal, I saw the stinging sensation of light beaming on my eyes, which did not hurt like I thought it would. My eyes were strange also, covered in a slight blue sheen which showed me strange trails in the air. "My lady, you did it! You birthed a baby boy!" Shouted a feminine voice next to me. I craned my head to get a better look as I was handed off to my mother and my eyes widened.Â
White hair, red eyes and a flawless beauty. The gruff man next to her only sealed my conviction on where I was, and it was not good. 'Shit, Type-Moon! Nope!' I tried to scream as I was cradled by the artificial human, the homuculus, that was my mother. "My husband, what shall we name him?" wondered Irisviel. Kiritsugu wondered and I was worried as the trails which surrounded him felt off as if they had an edge. "I was thinking Georg Faust" said Kiritsugu. "After the mage? A nice name, right Georg?" said Irisviel as she brought a finger to my lips.Â
The wail of another infant could be heard as I saw Kiritsugu pick up my sister, Illyasviel. "Don't worry, there enough attention for the both of you" he said quietly. As this family moment buzzed on, I only had one thought on my mind. 'Of all places, you chose this one! Shit' I shouted in my mind as I closed my eyes to get some sleep.Â
