Chapter 61 - The Language of Nobles

The necklace, for all its incredible power—so remarkable that it felt wrong to even call it a "flaw"—couldn't translate written text. It was perfect for conversations, but the moment Damien tried to read anything, the letters remained as incomprehensible symbols, whether or not he was wearing the necklace.

To make sure, he had Theo give it a try, but even Theo couldn't make sense of the writing.

"Looks like we'll have to learn the script from scratch," Damien sighed.

"Yes, it seems that way," Theo replied. "But for now, you'll need to help me translate the textbooks bit by bit."

Compared to Damien, who was clearly disappointed, Theo didn't seem too bothered. He settled back into Damien's lap, casually lying down again.

"Well, I kind of expected this outcome when I realized it couldn't help with deciphering ancient manuscripts," Theo admitted.

Ah, that made sense.

Suddenly, Theo's face lit up as if a new idea struck him.
