Damien gently kissed Elyric on the lips, absorbing the tears still falling from his eyes.
Elyric, seemingly satisfied with the kiss, hugged Damien tightly.
"It's a promise, right?"
"Yeah, we'll figure out a way so you won't feel lonely anymore. But still, that attitude earlier wasn't good. You should apologize to everyone."
Elyric, following Damien's suggestion, lowered his head in front of the group.
"I'm sorry for my rude behavior."
Elyon also spoke up.
"I think part of it was that Elyric envied everyone who gets to see Damien every day. I'll make sure to talk to him about it, so please, forgive him."
Everyone smiled kindly at the two of them.
"Well, let's just consider this settled, with the understanding that Damien will do his best going forward," Theo said, and everyone nodded.
