Damien and Theo exchanged glances, and as Damien leaned in to kiss Theo again, the elf interrupted.
Damien was getting frustrated.
But still, the elf had helped Theo, so he couldn't be too upset.

"Of course. I apologize for the trouble I caused," the elf said. "Regarding the reward, can I consider it as a loan for now?"
A "loan," huh? That made Damien wonder if the elf always had some kind of debt going on.
The elf seemed to really like making these kinds of exchanges.
"Hmm, I would say yes, but the reward for this time has already been decided."

Damien noticed that Theo also looked surprised by that.
