Chapter 3 - Lysander Makes An Entrance

"Ohh, please forgive me captain," Bakken said as he bowed down. "I was only joking Bakken, but if you try it then I'll kill you. Thathathatha."

"Bakken, you're the captain's right hand man for God's sake. You know he always say stupid stuff like that, why do you act like this is the first time you hear of this?" A voice sounded from a distance, and the voice belonged to a man who disturbed Bakken's conversation with his captain.

Bakken's captain immediately glanced at this disturber's direction, within a fraction of a second his expression darkened. He put his right hand on his waist, and that was what the man who jumped into their conversation last saw.

PHEW! THUMP!

The villagers of Bloem saw the man's body drop down, and he was bleeding. Bakken's captain then blew his gun, "I hate people who interfere in my crew's business without my consent. I mean, it doesn't concern them. Right Bakken? Thathathatha."

Orion was still running after Lysander, but with his agility he didn't seem to be catching up to him. "Lys, you are probably going to find their captain there. We are not really ready to face him, or it could be a her for that matter."

"I only want to punch that guy, you can take care of others for me. And if I get done in time, I'll kick their captain's ass as well. Don't be mad when you miss out on all the action because of your overthinking." Lysander exclaimed with his voice trembling in excitement.

"Tch, you idiot. I will take care of more people than you can ever dream of."

"Hahahaha, that's if you can get the before I do Ori." Lysander then sprinted off ahead.

"This guy can't just comprehend how dire the situation we are in is, I gotta run and be quick about it. Otherwise I'll find Lys dead, goddamn it!!" Orion also sprinted, but in the direction of the entrance to Bloem.

Back at the Exchange Circle, Bakken's captain was causing a traumatic scene. He had just shot a man down in front of one of the most peaceful villages in the skies, this will be imprinted in their memories forever.

"Uhh… Captain?" Bakken said while he stood up from the position he was in while analyzing the body.

"What is it, Bakken?"

"The man that you shot, was one of your crew members." Bakken said while looking a little angry.

"Thatha!?" There was shock on the captain's face, "I killed one of my own, bwahahaha." He was crying out loud and running in circles, he didn't know what to do. Bakken saw this and he had to calm his captain down.

"Captain, you don't have to worry. You had mercy on him, you only shot him on the shoulder." Bakken scratched the back of his head, and his captain hearing this came to an abrupt hault. "Thaaa!?"

"It's a miracle captain, it's like you knew he was one of our own. He is not dead, hahahaha."

"Bakken you idiot, if he is not dead then why isn't he talking or moving?"

"He is just unconscious." Bakken stated.

Lysander was only, 2 minutes and 30 seconds away.

Orion ran at full speed towards the airship of these corsairs, 'I must find more information about them,' was the only thought he had. He finally arrived after running for a while.

There were only 3 people guarding the airship, and they were people Orion could easily handle. The branch from Titan's Timber ( The Tree of Beginnings) was something Orion was not used to using for he had always kept it away as a special weapon of his.

He was only to use it when things has escalated to the point he had to put his life on the line, his encounter with Bakken was the first time he ever had to use the little branch. His efficiency with swinging this branch was still at a bare minimum, he had to get more experience.

The people who were guarding the airship were nowhere close to giving Orion the experience he needed, but getting experience was pushed at the back of his head. Getting information was the first thing he had to do if they were to ever stand a chance against their unknown opponents.

Orion walked inside the airship, and he was amazed…but not that much. The airship of these corsairs has a sleek, more utilitarian design, prioritizing functionality over extravagance. The framework was not made of the wood from Titan's Timber, but it was still made from a durable wood.

"Damn, the craftsmanship is amazing compared to what Lys and I are currently doing. But it's not that ornate, which is fine since it is focusing on strength and practicality. Just what kind of corsairs has Bloem attracted?"

"This is a pretty good airship, their captain must be a real pain in the ass to ever acquire something like this. From looks alone, I'd say this airship cost about 10 000ℵ."

The currency in the skies is called Aetherium Coins, and a single coin just happens to be worth 5 American Dollars (USD).

Orion was walking when he suddenly saw a golden door which was unique in more ways than one, he stepped up to open the door.

There was a compact sleeping area tucked away in one corner, featuring a simple but comfortable bed with a thick quilt. This area seemed to be private yet functional, which will allow the captain to rest without leaving the command space.

Nothing much was unique about the room, except for the fact that in one would tell that this is more of a briefing room than a bedroom. It had a comfortable leather chair be positioned behind a desk, which looked like was designed for long hours of work. In front of the desk, there was a couple of sturdy wooden chairs.

"This is probably where the captain would invite crew members for discussions or briefings, damn this captain is the type that probably has an immense openness to collaboration. Just what kind of a guy are we dealing with?"

Everything seemed to going easy enough for Orion, especially when he saw a drawer behind the captain's table. He opened it, and his eyes were drawn immediately towards the paper in there.

It was a striking and ominous piece of parchment that immediately capture his attention. It was made of aged parchment, giving it a weathered appearance. The edges were slightly frayed, and there were creases and folds that suggest it has been handled frequently.

At the top of the piece of this paper, there were bold letters proclaiming "WANTED" in a dark, gothic font. Below this heading, there was a detailed illustration of the target, "Eron Eimer."

The figure in the middle of the poster was depicted wearing a dark purple cloak that obscures much of their features, the coat was lined with intricate silver embroidery. Underneath, he sports a fitted black shirt.

Orion's eyes popped out when he saw the amount written behind the picture, "No, there's…no, no wa…no way! Lys is in trouble." He quickly ran in hopes of coming to his friend's aid.

The palace guards were moving as fast as they can, seeing their queen in such a frustrated manner was a rare sight. So every single one of them is looking forward to returning her smile once again, and in record time as well. There was a little about 32 minutes left, they knew a lot can happen in that time. So they were only hoping the damage does not escalate more, only if they knew there were about 7 people dead at the Exchange Circle and about 21 injured.

Lysander finally arrived at the Exchange Circle, and the scene there was simply unbearable for someone his age…well, in his village and island of course. He looked around and saw the faces of the villagers, the faces that were all smiles on a daily basis was now turned into the faces with eyes crying rivers.

He saw a little girl he was sometimes playing with, and she came running towards him. She hugged him on his knees, and Lysander could feel that she was trembling. She tried to talk, but she just didn't make enough sense. "He…he…he…l, Lys…"

Lysander thought of what she wanted to say, and he went down to touch the top of the girl's head. "Don't worry Lucy, I'll make everyone who was involved in this pay. You can count on me, and I'll deliver as always. I promise."

Those words alone put Lucy at ease, she knew how strong Lysander was. And if anybody could help them in this predicament, it's him. He then stood up, and looked at the man who did all of this.

"You there, I want you to wait for me to kick your ass. For now, I wanna start by kicking his ass." Lysander said so pointing to the man he came here for, the one and only Bakken.

"Hahahaha, I hate someone who set you free little brat. For now, I can give you a beating in front of your whole village." Bakken exclaimed courageously.
