Chapter 11 - Final Command : Enchain on Hell Devil And Confession

On the rooftop of the Public Safety building, Kishibe stood with six personnel, their faces pale as they awaited the moment that could change everything. The six individuals, handpicked for this mission, knew exactly what they were there for. They were prepared to give their lives to summon the Hell Devil. Their goal was clear—to command its terrifying power, and, if need be, to use it to kill Makima, whose strength had become too much of a threat.

Kishibe took a long drag from his cigarette, his sharp eyes watching the six. He knew what this mission meant, and he couldn't help but wonder silently, This might be used to kill Makima someday, just in case she turns into a threat.

His gaze shifted to Kang Woo, who stood quietly, exuding an aura of control as he observed the scene. Calm, unbothered. Kishibe knew this man had a deeper plan at play.

Kishibe exhaled a cloud of smoke, his voice barely audible as he muttered, "They know how this ends."

Kang Woo, however, broke the tense silence. "They're not going to die," he said, his voice cold, yet definitive. "No matter the outcome, whether I get the Hell Devil's contract or not, those six will live."

Kishibe raised an eyebrow in mild surprise at Kang Woo's confident statement, but he didn't question it. He had seen enough to know Kang Woo wasn't one to speak lightly.

Before the atmosphere could grow more somber, Aki stepped forward, a question lingering in his mind. "Kang Woo, what is Batman?"

For a moment, Kang Woo seemed completely caught off guard. It was rare for him to lose his composure, but this question did it.

"You're still on that?" Kang Woo muttered, rubbing the back of his neck in disbelief. "I thought you'd ask about why I put the Future Devil inside my body, not some random question about Batman."

Aki remained silent, his curiosity unwavering.

Kang Woo sighed, clearly exasperated. "Fine, I'll give you the comics later. Just… don't ask me questions like that again."

Beside Aki, Himeno let out a laugh, a teasing grin spreading across her face. "I think you just hurt his feelings, Aki," she said, amusement lacing her voice. "And I didn't think that was possible for anyone except you."

Aki shrugged. "As long as I get the comics, I'm good."

Kang Woo smirked, shaking his head slightly before focusing on the mission at hand. His eyes sharpened as he looked at the six personnel standing before him.

"Do you want to live after the Hell Devil is summoned or not?" he asked, his voice cutting through the air like a blade.

The six personnel, although clearly nervous, answered in unison, "We know the consequences, but yes, we want to live."

Kang Woo nodded. "Good. Then listen to me carefully. Also, Kishibe, Himeno, Aki—cover your ears unless you want to go temporarily deaf."

The three complied, covering their ears as they prepared for what was to come. The six personnel, following Kang Woo's command, began preparing for the summoning ritual. They each sliced their throats slightly, allowing small droplets of blood to fall onto the ground as they chanted, "Hell Devil, you are summoned!"

But before the ritual could be completed, Kang Woo decided to take matters into his own hands.

He activated his Authority of Sonority, a power that amplified sound to a devastating degree. It could burst eardrums and render those who heard it temporarily deaf. With a loud, resounding clap, Kang Woo's voice boomed across the rooftop.

"Get the fuck over here!" he commanded, his voice reverberating through the air like a thunderclap, directed straight at the Hell Devil.

The shockwave of sound caused the six personnel to stumble, their ears ringing from the force. But despite their disorientation, they understood Kang Woo's command. Without hesitation, they descended the stairs from the rooftop, grateful to be alive.

Aki, slowly lowering his hands from his ears, looked at Kang Woo. "Is it done?" he asked.

Kang Woo grinned, shaking his head. "Not yet. This is only the initial stage," he replied, his eyes gleaming with excitement. "I can feel it… the Hell Devil is provoked."

The Hell Devil materialized in front of Kang Woo with an ominous presence, its massive form casting a dark shadow across the rooftop. It appeared as a centaur-like creature, its head devoid of features save for a massive mouth twisted into a grotesque grimace. Its taut, flesh-like body constantly burned with flames.

The Hell Devil, clearly displeased with being summoned in such a brazen manner, raised a massive hand from the sky. The hand, unlike any other, had six fingers, each digit grotesquely large and unnatural. As it hovered ominously above them, it became clear that the Hell Devil intended to transport Kang Woo and his companions to hell as punishment for their insolence.

But just as the massive hand was about to close in on them, the Hell Devil hesitated. Its flaming body trembled slightly as its hollow gaze fixed on Kang Woo, who stood calmly, his eyes glowing with a bright crimson hue. The intricate, godlike patterns of Kang Woo's Magic Eyes of Destruction radiated power, a sight that seemed to freeze the Hell Devil in place.

The colossal hand, mere moments from dragging them to the depths of hell, suddenly stopped mid-motion, suspended in the air as if frozen by an unseen force.

The Hell Devil muttered in a low, gravelly voice that rumbled like the deepest pits of the underworld, "Dear devil… someone like you is here." Its tone was laced with a mixture of fear and awe, as though it were facing something far beyond its comprehension.

Kang Woo narrowed his eyes, his presence radiating control. "We need someplace more quiet," he said calmly.

The Hell Devil nodded, recognizing its place in front of Kang Woo, who clearly outranked him. The massive creature shifted slightly, preparing to teleport both of them to a secluded part of Hell for their conversation. It knew very well that in front of someone like him , it was nothing more than a mere peasant.

As Kang Woo prepared to be hit with the massive six-fingered hand to initiate their transport to Hell, Kishibe stepped forward suddenly, his voice breaking the tension. "Wait," he called out. "I need to hear the conversation."

Kang Woo, unfazed, raised his hand in a commanding gesture to stop the Hell Devil.

The Hell devil, then grumbled, "Shall I kill this hu—"

But Kang Woo's sharp glare cut him off, the intensity of it an unspoken command to shut the hell up. The Hell Devil instantly recoiled, understanding its mistake.

Kang Woo then turned back to Kishibe. "You sure things are going to be pleasant?" he asked. "We're about to be teleported to Hell."

Kishibe, ever the calm hunter, shrugged nonchalantly. "I don't mind. You just made a contract with four devils on the same day," he said, his voice low but firm. "But the Hell Devil isn't a joke. It can swallow anything—maybe even a primal devil. Every devil that dies goes to Hell, and you're about to control it. That might be even more horrifying than Makima."

Kang Woo smirked at Kishibe's words, then turned his gaze back to the Hell Devil, who now awaited his next command with palpable fear.

Kang Woo then turned to Aki and Himeno, offering them a choice. "You sure you want to stay here? There might be an exciting adventure along the way," he said, his tone almost teasing.

Aki crossed his arms, his expression serious. "I'll stay. I've seen enough of how you dominate devils like it's just a game to you," he replied, his voice firm and calm.

Himeno, ever the cheerful one, chimed in with a wide grin, "I'm staying with Aki! And getting druuuuunked!" Her playful tone broke some of the tension.

Kang Woo gave a final nod, satisfied with their decisions. He then turned to the Hell Devil and commanded, "Depart."

In an instant, a massive hand with six grotesque fingers swung down, striking Kang Woo and Kishibe. The force of the blow sent them into oblivion, and in a heartbeat, they were gone—vanished into Hell. The Hell Devil disappeared as well, departing to its realm as commanded.

As Kang Woo and Kishibe reappeared in Hell, they found themselves standing in a surprisingly serene environment. The landscape was a vast grassy, flowery field with rolling hills, and countless mysterious doors floated parallel in the sky, each one leading to an unknown place.

Kang Woo looked around, clearly amused. "Nice environment, eh?" he said, with a smirk on his face.

Kishibe, lighting a cigarette, took a moment to glance at the surroundings. "Not what I expected," he muttered dryly. "Guess I thought Hell would be a little more... fiery."

Just then, the Hell Devil materialized in front of them, keeping a careful distance of about five meters from Kang Woo. Its imposing presence from before was now diminished, with its once towering form no longer threatening, reduced to mere caution in front of Kang Woo.

Kang Woo laughed heartily, the sound echoing through the peaceful field. "You're still afraid of me?" he asked, his voice teasing.

The Hell Devil trembled slightly but nodded, answering with a gravelly voice, "Yes... very."

Kang Woo waved his hand dismissively, still grinning. "Don't worry, I won't kill you. However, I do need to know something. Why is it that only the Chainsaw Devil his true name Pochita, the Fox Devil, and you Hell Devil seem to know me?"

The Hell Devil's flames flickered slightly as it answered, "The first to know of you was Pochita. I still don't know whether he heard of you or witnessed your power in action. As for the Fox Devil, I have no clue how that one came to possess such knowledge."

The Hell Devil paused, its burning form shifting uncomfortably, before continuing. "But as for me, I've sensed your presence twice in Hell. The first time, you fought like a madman against someone… the second time , you were being chased."

Kang Woo's expression darkened slightly as his thoughts raced. Shit… so this is really the Chainsaw Man universe's version of Hell. He frowned, recalling the memories the Hell Devil referred to. The first time… that must have been when I fought that demon named Dantalion. Damn, I thought I was hallucinating back then. The fight felt like something out of Dragon Ball with the way I was focusing on decimating my enemy.

A slight cringe crossed his face as he remembered the second instance. And the second time... He grimaced internally. Being chased by Lilith because I rejected her. That was... very embarrassing. Ahh, so embarrassing.

Kang Woo cleared his throat, regaining his composure, and glanced at the Hell Devil with a confident smirk, hiding his momentary embarrassment. "Well, thanks for the information. You've been... helpful."

Curious about the Hell Devil's true strength, Kang Woo activated his Authority of Beholder, a power that allowed him to view the status window of beings. He was intrigued to see the stats of a high-end grade devil like the Hell Devil.

Kang Woo examined the stats, intrigued. Why does Makima have a level so close to the Hell Devil's? he thought. The Hell Devil is extremely strong, although not as powerful as prime Pochita or the Darkness Devil. But still... Then, it hit him.

Then, it hit him. That contract... Kang Woo realized. The contract Makima made with the Prime Minister of Japan, which transfers any damage she takes to Japanese citizens, really boosted her power. It was clear now. Without that contract, her true level would've been much lower.

Satisfied with his deduction, Kang Woo turned his attention back to the Hell Devil. "All right," he began, "I need you to protect someone, and that someone is Makima."

The Hell Devil tilted its head slightly, listening.

"When I say 'enchain,' you will allow me to borrow your power at maximum output. Exactly 20 minutes after that, you will sever your contract with me. I've already done this with The Fox Devil , Angel Devil , and the Spider Devil—you will be the fourth . Lastly, you will guard Kishibe from any life-threatening danger or if he's in a pinch situation."

The Hell Devil nodded, flames flickering in acknowledgment of the instructions.

"As for your reward," Kang Woo continued, cutting a small portion of his hand and letting a drop of his blood spill. The Hell Devil instantly conjured a container from the very essence of Hell to collect the precious blood.

"You know how valuable this is, right?" Kang Woo said, with a knowing grin.

The Hell Devil remained silent, but in his thoughts, he recalled the stories he had heard—stories of a noble one's blood, said to have the power to resurrect the dead in both humans and other living beings. Though the Hell Devil didn't know the specifics, the implications of Kang Woo's power his Ingal Resurrection were clear.

Kang Woo watched as the blood dripped into the container. "More will come, depending on your performance," he added, his voice filled with authority.

The Hell Devil bowed its head slightly and, in a low gravelly tone, responded, "Thank you... very much." For a devil, blood was currency, and the blood of a noble one like Kang Woo was far beyond anything the Hell Devil could have imagined.

Kishibe, who had been quietly observing, finally spoke up. "Kang Woo... are you on humanity's side or..." He paused, his gaze shifting toward the Hell Devil, who was now fully submitting to Kang Woo. "Or the side of destruction? Because from what I've seen, you could very easily destroy anyone who stands in your way."

Kang Woo turned toward Kishibe, his expression unreadable. "Neither," he replied coolly. "I'm on my own side. My focus right now is rescuing Makima... and finding something that satisfies my boredom."

Kishibe absorbed the response, his cigarette still between his lips. He gave a slow nod, realizing he couldn't do much against someone as powerful as Kang Woo, especially with a high-grade devil like the Hell Devil now at his beck and call. He was completely outgunned, and he knew it.

"Fair enough," Kishibe muttered, exhaling smoke, accepting that for now, he had no choice but to follow Kang Woo's lead. "Now I want to call in my favors," Kishibe said, shifting his tone. "Since I did show you how to summon the Hell Devil itself, and just like you said, you'd still honor my favor even though you spared the six personnel from the Hell Devil's grasp."

Before Kishibe could continue, the Hell Devil growled, "Human, it's not your place—"

But Kang Woo stopped him with a mere signal of his hand. "A deal is a deal," Kang Woo said smoothly. "I like give-and-take relationships between THE Chads."

Kishibe raised an eyebrow. "The Chads?" he smirked, amused. "You always have strange names. Breaking Bad, Batman, and now the Chads?"

Kang Woo grinned. "I have many slangs, all right? Stop being annoying. What do you want?"

Kishibe grinned back, sensing the opportunity. "First off, I want you to make the Supe program a success within Public Safety Devil Hunter. I'm tired of seeing my students die all the time. Second, I want you to continue helping Japan—and maybe the world—against devils and corrupt Supes. Lastly, I want you to spare someone if you ever encounter her."

Kang Woo considered the requests, his eyes narrowing slightly. "The first one... depends on the quality of its people, but it can be managed. The second request—about supporting Japan and Public Safety Devil Hunters—that I can't promise. If they're dickheads, I'm going to kill them on the spot. As for the third... I'll just imprison Quanxi and bring her to you in case she gets a bit bold."

Kishibe smirked, clearly satisfied with the response. "As always, you know exactly who I'm talking about. And I'm satisfied since the first and third requests can be achieved. As for the second... well, I was testing you anyway. I also hate the system." He gave a knowing chuckle, recognizing the balance between cooperation and freedom that Kang Woo insisted on.

Just then, the Hell Devil spoke up, his voice gravelly and filled with awe, "Noble one..."

Kang Woo sighed and waved his hand dismissively. "Just call me Kang Woo, all right? It's annoying."

The Hell Devil hesitated for a moment, then continued, "When I first sensed you, you fought like a madman against someone, and then you disappeared. The second time, I sensed you after being chased... and again, you vanished. How?"

Kang Woo's eyes flickered, and he responded with a cryptic smile. "I have my ways of doing things."

In Kang Woo's mind, his thoughts raced back to the incidents. The first time, I just used the Authority of Gates, allowing me to create dimensional cracks, gates, and dungeons within those gates. I also German suplexed Dantalion from the uppermost Hell to the lowest Hell. He smirked internally, recalling the chaos. As for the second time... being chased by Lilith was terrifying.

Not wanting to elaborate, Kang Woo turned to the Hell Devil and said, "Let's go. We need to return."

The Hell Devil nodded obediently and summoned his six-fingered giant hand. With one swift movement, the hand grabbed Kang Woo and Kishibe, and in an instant, they were teleported back to the living world, leaving Hell behind.

( if this fight was not satisfying i will revise it since i want to test the the writting how you will react is it good enough or not )

Meanwhile, at Aokigahara Forest, Makima found herself locked in an intense battle with the Baba Yaga Devil in its true form—a grotesque, house-like structure with gnarled wooden limbs. She had only two controlled devils left, the Hollow Knight and Grief Devil, both of which had been crucial to her strategy, as the other two had been destroyed earlier by Baba Yaga's explosive attack. Blood dripped from her mouth, her body bruised and battered from the relentless assault. Despite her dire situation, Makima smiled, her resolve unwavering.

Beside her floated a dark orb—the Commandment of Piety that Kang Woo had gifted her. The orb continuously healed her wounds via darkness manipulation, which enveloped her injuries, slowly knitting them back together. The Hellblaze, still under her command, flickered around her like a relentless, fiery protector.

Makima's mind raced as she strategized her next move. I never thought Baba Yaga's true form—the house form—could jump so fast, she thought, wiping the blood from her lips. It made me misfire the Hellblaze Kang Woo entrusted me with.

Suddenly, from Baba Yaga's mouth came thousands of skulls, swarming toward Makima with deadly intent. Makima's sharp instincts kicked in. Those skulls will probably explode, just like before. She quickly used the darkness manipulation from the orb to contain the skulls' incoming explosions, forming a protective barrier around her.

"Almost done healing," Makima muttered to herself, feeling the darkness stitching her wounds back together. Good, she thought. The power of darkness that comes from the commandment is very handy... but it's still very hard to control the Hellblaze. The dark flame Kang Woo has can burn souls, and his darkness manipulation... it's like trying to hold water—it slips through my grasp. She gritted her teeth, wishing for just a moment of reprieve. If I could turn back time, I would've asked him how to use them properly.

Her gaze shifted toward the Commandment of Piety, hovering beside her, releasing Hellblaze and darkness like an aura—liquid and swirling—under her command, but its raw intensity was always on the verge of overwhelming her.

Before she could catch her breath, the ground erupted beneath her. Sharp wooden spikes, deadly and precise, surrounded her, aiming to impale. Without hesitation, Makima commanded the orb to produce Hellblaze, unleashing black flames that roared to life. The spikes burned in an instant, consumed by the relentless black fire, leaving only scorched earth in their wake.

Makima stood tall, her body healed, and her confidence growing as the flames danced around her, awaiting Baba Yaga's next move.

Suddenly, Baba Yaga released another wave of thousands of skulls, but this time they appeared instantly, surrounding Makima in a suffocating ring. The skulls seemed to materialize from nowhere, closing in fast. Acting quickly, Makima commanded the orb to create a darkness shield, enveloping her in a cocoon of pure darkness to protect against the explosions.

As the dark cocoon held off the skulls, Makima turned to her two remaining controlled devils. With a cold determination, she commanded the Hollow Knight and Grief Devil to charge at Baba Yaga, infusing them with Hellblaze and the power of darkness manipulation. She turned them into living bombs—suicide weapons fueled by the same dark flames that protected her. The two controlled devils hurtled toward Baba Yaga, exploding in a brilliant display of hellfire and darkness right before the primal devil.

When the smoke cleared, the grotesque house-like form of Baba Yaga had been blown to pieces. The aftermath left nothing but shattered wood and the debris of what once was a terrifying primal devil.

Makima stood, satisfied with the outcome, her gaze surveying the battlefield. But just as she began to relax, her eyes widened in shock. A sharp, wooden hand impaled her chest from below—a hand made of the same twisted wood that Baba Yaga had once been. Blood gushed from the wound as Makima gasped for air. Her right arm was severed in the attack, leaving it lying on the ground beside her.

It was Baba Yaga. The primal devil had submerged into the ground and repositioned itself beneath Makima. The sudden attack caught her off guard, and with a swift motion, the wooden hand hurled her body through the air. She crashed against the ground, bleeding heavily, her breath labored. She tried to steady herself but couldn't—the wooden spike had pierced her heart.

Makima's thoughts raced. My arm is cut… I can no longer command the Commandment Kang Woo gave me. This is a bad situation...

Falling to the ground helplessly, Makima's vision began to blur as her life flashed before her eyes. The Baba Yaga Devil, still in its house form, loomed over her, its twisted face staring at the dark orb—the Commandment of Piety—hovering beside Makima. It asked in its low, rumbling voice, "How did you get that dark orb?" But Makima was too far gone to answer, lost in a series of vivid flashbacks.

She remembered the moment she first met Kang Woo. In her mind, she saw him clearly—his face, his presence. The memory of him flicking her forehead returned, and though it had pissed her off at the time, she found herself relishing the chaos he brought with him. She laughed weakly, blood pouring from her mouth. "Kuhuhuhu... hahaha..." The absurdity of the situation hit her, and all she wanted in that moment was to feel another flick on her forehead.

Her next memory flashed to a restaurant, where she stood watching herself in the past. She recalled a conversation with Kang Woo.

Flashback:

Makima had said, "Kuhito." Suddenly, the Commandment that Kang Woo had given her disappeared. She blinked in confusion. "Where did it go?"

Kang Woo had smiled, his tone teasing. "It resides in an unknown space. You can summon it by saying 'Commandment' or 'Jikkai,' whichever you prefer."

Suspicion filled her eyes. "Why are you so interested in me, Kang Woo? You're practically my enemy."

Kang Woo's expression softened, his usual playful demeanor fading. Without warning, a tear slipped down Makima's cheek—something she hadn't allowed herself to feel in years. She couldn't believe it. No one had ever shown her kindness before. Her frustration boiled over as she shouted, "Don't you understand? I'm playing a game to control you! To control you!"

Her anger had been met with silence. Kang Woo stepped closer and, to her shock, wrapped her in a sudden embrace. His arms around her, his voice low as he whispered, "If anyone wants you dead, I'll blow them to pieces."

He kissed her forehead gently, leaving Makima stunned. She had always been in control, always manipulating, but this... this was different. In Kang Woo's embrace, her walls crumbled. She hated the feeling, yet a part of her didn't want to let go.

Makima then looked at her past self, barely believing her own words. "You're a DESPICABLE person," she had said, her voice laced with both frustration and something resembling admiration. "The worst DESPICABLE I've ever met."

Kang Woo had raised an eyebrow, amused, but remained silent as she continued.

"But," she added, a sly grin playing on her lips, "you're a Despicable with a heart."

As the memory faded, current Makima looked at herself from the past, her heart heavy with regret. Tears—something she had always suppressed—now dripped slowly down her face, mingling with the blood pouring from her wounds. She laughed bitterly, realizing how much she had mocked Kang Woo's kindness when, deep down, she had craved it.

On the edge of death, her mind conjured one final memory. In that last shared moment with Kang Woo, her past self had smiled bittersweetly. "It's been... nice, talking with you, Kang Woo. I hope this won't be the last..." Her voice had faltered, almost saying "lovey-dovey" before she quickly corrected herself. "...conversation."

As past Makima walked out of the restaurant, leaving that fleeting moment behind, present Makima, now dying in the forest, muttered through sobs, Why didn't I admit that I loved him more than anyone? He helped me... and instead I hid behind this cold persona. Why? Why... Her voice broke, mixing with the sadness and regret she had long buried under her ruthless exterior.

End of Flashback

Makima laughed again, weak and broken. Her vulnerability, and her newfound feelings for Kang Woo . Through blurry vision, she gazed up and saw something in the sky—a dark comet. Tears welled up as she whispered, "Am I hallucinating? Is that... Kang Woo as a dark comet?"

The dark comet, unmistakable to her, was like how Kang Woo always flew—with his majestic dark wings, it resembled a comet streaking across the sky. But Makima still believed she was hallucinating, her mind grasping at her final moments.

She weakly chuckled, her voice trembling. "Kang Woo... I'm sorry. So sorry for never admitting the truth... that I love you." Her breath grew more shallow as blood seeped from her lips. "I love your lies... your chaotic nature... If somehow I could be your concubine, lower than your true wife, I would accept it." Her tears flowed freely now, a mix of regret and confession. "I'm not regretting meeting you. I enjoyed every moment."

Makima's final words trembled on her lips as her vision darkened. "I'm sorry, Kang Woo... Your Commandment will be stolen... so please... forgive—" Her voice cut off as the last vestiges of strength left her.

Suddenly, the Commandment of Piety broke free from Baba Yaga's grasp, rushing back to Makima. It enveloped her in the strongest dark cocoon, protecting her in her most vulnerable moment. At that same instant, the dark comet crashed down onto both Baba Yaga and Makima, sending devastating shockwaves through the forest. A massive portion of Aokigahara Forest was obliterated, leaving a 5-kilometer square area of destruction in its wake.

As the dust settled, Makima felt herself being lifted, carried in a princess-style hold. Weakly, she opened her eyes and saw a man with wings of darkness. It was Kang Woo, flying above the massive crater.

Kang Woo looked down at her, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Apology accepted."
