Few days later., King wukari also known as the tribal chief asked Asher, his personal guard to help him get dave and kryll to his chamber.
Asher did as the king said and not long Dave and kryll appeared at the King's Chamber.
"Greetings....." Kryll said as he entered the chamber.
"Welcome... please Come in" King wukari said.
"Do you know what we need to do to defend them from not entering our kingdom, making it difficult too, so the Vikings won't come again" He continued.
"Yes….. there's allot of we need to do but first we need more men to fight" Dave said
Men who can handle sword….., men who can help with the arches and also fight in battle as well..., men who will set traps at the entrance of the riverbanks, some men to watch over the river to know when they will approach" He continued.
The tribal chiefs sent for some hunters and young men who are fit to fight.
"You need to train some of the men" king wukari said.
"We don't have much men but I will make enough provisions for weapons and I need you both to help us defend our kingdom" He continued.
0Ok….., I need some brave women too" Kryll said
"I will train them on how to make use of spear sword" He continued.
King Wukari asked Asher to summon the whole villager to the village hall.
"Welcome….. my people" King wukari said.
"Greetings our King" The villagers responded.
"These foreigners are ready to trained and help us fight against the northerners but they need your support and some people to be able carry out the plans of defending our kingdom" King wukari said in an authoritative statement.
"How many of you are ready to defend your homeland against the northerners" He continued.
"We are all ready..... we are ready..... we are readyyyyy" the villagers on top of their voices as the split into different groups.
"They are almost 6 groups here" Dave said.
"I will take the first and third groups, they will be trained to fight at the entrance of the riverbank" He continued
"Take them with you" King wukari said
Kryll took the last group of people who were mostly older people and went into forest with them.
Kryll thought them how to set comic traps and also how to kill in silence.
Freya interrupted Dave and his men.
"I will help….." Freya said as he swings her Wall light sword.
"Thank you" Dave replied
Freya help trained some of the young women how to fight with weapons.
Dave called out kryll and Freya to the room and spoke about the importance of fighting for the kingdom and also how to speak with the king to provide more weapons for the battle.
Kryll suggested they help provide more weapon but Freya disagreed and ask Dave to speak to the king about providing more weapons.
Dave and Freya went to the King's chamber to inform him about bring more weapon for the men who are ready to fight.
"The first moon is today and we are not fully equipped with the necessary weapons" Dave said.
I already spoke to my guards to get more weapons….. they will arrived here soon" King wukari said.
"Thank you…." Freya said while they walked away from the chamber.
"I think we need to figure out how to fight this Vikings because they seems strong and difficult" Dave said
"We haven't been to any battles, so it will be difficult... you just have to protect yourself at all cost, please I love you" Freya told Dave while she went a separate direction.
Not quite long, Dave shouted on top of his voice, as he commanded.
"Archers….. shoot" Dave commanded.
The archers shoot their arrow with immediate effect and place back another arrow on their bows.
The king was very happy seeing that the villagers were preparing so hard to defend their land, lives and properties.
"Spear.... shoot" Freya commanded too
The ladies and men with spear withdraw back immediately as they throw their spear with force on a tree.
"Nice one … Freya" Dave said from afar.
"Thank you…" Freya replied.
Night falls and everyone went to their rooms to have a rest and the King asked Asher to call Dave and his friends.
"Thank you….. you have been doing a very great job for this community and I vow to own a debt for this." The King said.
"Thank you too….." Dave replied
"You have kept even when we less expected it, you and your people provide us with everything we need to survive…. So it time we pay them back" Freya said.
Dave, kryll and Freya left the Kimg's chamber back to their house.
Later in the morning.. Dave went with some men to the riverside to set some hidden traps.
"Some of you are not going back today….. you need to stay back, hide on the trees and watch over the entrance" Dave said
Dave took some men to the other side of the community to traps too.
The last full moon is tomorrow and they might come to rest before attacking us…. So I need some of you to be here as well to watch over this entrance" Dave said.
Dave told the second men to be at alert as he went to the village to prepare himself too.
Freya went with some of the people to a hidden place pretending they wants to hide as in plan of attacking from behind.
Kryll took some of the men with swords to the forest and they were ready to fight and kill.
"Are they all ready now" Asher asked kryll.
"Yes….. my men are ready" Kryll replied.
"The King will soon be here to supervise the settings and plans, you want to carry out." Asher told kryll.
Not quite long…, the King arrives to witness the final moments and also blessed everyone as he went back to his chamber to prepare for the battle.
Freya went to see Dave and kryll as she told them to be careful and watch at each other.
It's was evening… everyone were still awake and ready, the full moon was out but no sign of the Vikings approaching.
"There's no sign of them here" king wukari said.
"They might be here in the morning" Dave replied.
"I guess…., they are planning on how to attack" kryll told Dave.
It was morning but yet no sign of anyone approaching, the king called for a meeting with Dave, kryll and Freya.
"Welcome…., come in" king wukari said
"I understand we are have wasted so much time preparing for the battle but there's no signs of the Viking…. What do you suggest?" He continued.
"We have to wait a little bit longer and see what happens" Dave told the King.
"Send a message across the neighboring community to ensure if they knows about the Vikings coming to attack them" Kryll suggested
King wukari sent a message to another community after few days… He got a response from the community that the Vikings are raiding another part of the country which is very far from the hidden place of the tribals.
Dave and kryll withdraw some of the warriors they kept at the settings.
"We still have to be ready..," Freya said
"Yes… I will leave some of them here as well" Dave replied
Few days later…. Dave went to the king to get information about the Vikings whereabouts.
"Have you gotten any information about the Vikings?" Dave asked.
"Yes... they were being seen by a farmer going back to his house" King Wukari said.
"He said they were sailing back to their land and they are also going to come back again" He continued.
"We still have to set more traps because we can't tell if we are the next target" Dave told the King.
