Chapter 5
Immortal Vard, step forward. One of the gods commanded.
Vard stepped forward and knelt on one knee.
Immortal Lepone, excuse us another god commanded.
Lepone stared at Vard then left. When the door closed, it made a bang sound everywhere suddenly became dark and the large room was only illuminated by stones of different colours with the silence and oppressive air , it gave the room an eerie atmosphere.
Immortal Vard do you know why you were called upon?. A god asked
No. Vard replied without much thought.
Their is a great war coming. A being is planning on breaking the seal to the under world. We see a traitor within us . The gods said in unison.
When you said a traitor within us . You mean an immortal right, and besides I haven't even gotten a chance to rest yet. Vard said
A day in heaven, is a thousand years on earth. A god said.
Yeah, but why Is it like that, why is time in heaven so slow, shouldn't it be faster seems this is heaven? You know what I mean. Vard complained.
You have no right to question the gods! A god said in a loud voice causing lighting to strike.
I apologize for speaking out of turn. Vard said while bowing his head.I would like to know what task the gods has set for me. Vard asked.
Take the choas pearl and the heavenly pearl to the mortal realm and guard it with your life, the existence of the pearls has been known and many are after it. The gods said in unison.
You know many are after it yet you want to take it to the mortal realm? Vard asked confused.
Like we said , there is a traitor between us. A god replied.
Then find the traitor and banish them . Vard said.
Unfortunately we don't know who the traitor is. A god said.
How... I..I mean why don't we lock the pearls in a place no one can find it. Vard suggested.
The pearls has a mind of their own, they will free themselves from any shackles to find a host. A god explained.
That's why they where locked in an inchanted box in the first place . Another god explained.
So they don't possess any being around them. And another god said to Vard.
Mind of their own, how is that even possible? Vard asked.
The pearls possesses emotions which was never supposed to be. Although the heavenly pearl gives life it can also take it back, it can cover the world in darkness or wash away everything on land likewise the chaos pearl it can also destroy and grant life.
What? So the choas pearl can give life did you see how destructive that thing is? Vard asked.
We see everything. A god said
So we saw it. Another god completed the sentence.
When we said the choas pearl gives life, it can never be considered life, it's worse. One of the gods said.
Are you saying everything the choas pearl bring to life will be corrupted? Vard asked.
Yes. The gods said in unison.
Then why take it to mortal realm ? Vard asked.
The choas pearl does not belong here. A god stated.
Then where does it belong, obviously not the mortal realm. Vard said.
It belong to the underworld. A god said making Vard almost chock.
We used the power from the under world to destroy demons?. Vard thought. Any way, why don't you send the choas pearl to the underworld . Keeping it in heaven and even in the mortal realm is dengerous. Vard said in anger.
No we can't do that. One of the gods said.
Why, isn't that where it belongs? Vard asked.
Taking it to the underworld is even more dengerous than taking it to the mortal realm or even leaving it in heaven.A god explained. The underworld is it's kingdom and many corrupted beings are there both dramons, demons and many other creatures, not only would the chaos pearl be used against it's will, it will become corrupted. One of the gods explained.
Well since it's not corrupted yet, why don't you keep it in heaven? Vard asked.
No that is impossible, because of the traitor. Now enough questions, you must take the chaos pearl and the heavenly pearl to the mortal realm, find a suitable family and make sure the pearls are born as a human, take them as your disciples.A god said.
But must they be born a human? Vard asked.
They must,teach each them everything you know and prepare them for the upcoming war. Be careful not to be noticed by other races, don't forget, seal has cracked, creatures are escaping from the underworld. Don't return until you have completed the task. The gods said in unison.
