Chapter 41 - Chapter 40: The Test Begins

Broly and Paragus sat around a small fire on Planet Vampa, eating the meager meal they had just hunted. The desolate world had little to offer beyond survival, but it was all Broly had ever known. The silence between them was broken only by the crackling fire when suddenly, without warning, Frieza's original body appeared in front of them, using his instant transmission technique.

Paragus dropped his food, his eyes wide with terror. The very sight of the emperor sent chills down his spine. Broly tensed but remained seated, confused by his father's sudden fear.

"Frieza…" Paragus muttered, his voice trembling. He remembered Frieza all too well, but seeing him here on this forsaken planet was unimaginable.

Frieza turned his gaze to Paragus, a knowing smile crossing his lips. "What? You don't recognize your lord anymore?" Frieza asked, his voice calm but laced with that familiar undertone of superiority.

Paragus attempted to respond, but before he could utter another word, Frieza raised a single finger. "Kneel."

With that simple command, Paragus' knees buckled, and he fell to the ground, helpless to resist. His body refused to move, and his voice was silenced. He could only watch in horror as Frieza stood before them.

Broly, seeing his father kneel in such a vulnerable state, frowned. He didn't fully understand the situation, but the threat was clear. Rising to his feet, the towering Saiyan positioned himself between Frieza and Paragus, his glare fixed on the galactic tyrant.

Frieza's eyes shifted to Broly, his smirk widening. "So, this is the famous Broly," he mused, sizing up the Saiyan warrior. "I came here for one reason, to test the strength of this big, wild monkey."

The air grew tense, and without a second thought, Broly lunged forward, his powerful fist aimed at Frieza's chest. His attack connected, but to his shock, Frieza didn't even flinch. The emperor stood motionless, unfazed by Broly's strength.

Before Broly could react, Frieza's tail whipped forward, catching Broly in the ribs with a sickening thud. The impact sent Broly flying across the rocky landscape, his body crashing through several jagged rock formations before skidding to a halt kilometers away.

Paragus, still kneeling and unable to move, could only watch as his son was flung like a ragdoll. His fear for Broly mixed with confusion, he had never seen someone repel Broly's strength so easily.

As the dust settled, Broly slowly rose from the rubble, blood dripping from his mouth. His fury was mounting, and his power surged as he stood, glaring at Frieza in the distance. He charged again, this time faster, his fists glowing with raw energy.

Frieza, still calm, dodged effortlessly, weaving around Broly's wild attacks with fluid precision. Each of Broly's powerful blows missed their mark, striking the ground with enough force to create massive craters. The planet quaked under the ferocity of Broly's strikes, yet Frieza remained untouchable, evading every attack with grace.

Broly's frustration grew as he unleashed a flurry of punches, his raw strength increasing with each failed attempt. His ki flared uncontrollably, and his movements became more violent, causing the very air around them to vibrate with power. His lack of control was evident, and while his strength grew, his technique remained crude and wild.

Frieza, watching with mild amusement, decided it was time to show the gap between them. As Broly swung a powerful fist at his head, Frieza caught it with one hand, stopping the attack cold. The force behind Broly's punch sent shockwaves rippling through the landscape, but Frieza held firm, his smirk never leaving his face.

"You have power, Broly," Frieza said, his voice calm. "But power without control is useless."

With a burst of speed, Frieza retaliated, delivering a series of precise strikes to Broly's body. Each punch landed with incredible force, yet calculated enough not to overwhelm the Saiyan instantly. Frieza's blows sent Broly staggering, his massive frame crashing through rock formations, sending dust and debris into the air.

The entire landscape trembled under the weight of their battle. Despite Broly's growing strength, his lack of control and experience showed as his wild attacks failed to land, while Frieza danced around him, always one step ahead.

Broly, recovering from the relentless blows, felt his fury ignite further, causing his power to surge. The ground around him cracked as his energy exploded outward, disintegrating nearby rocks. He charged again, his movements faster, more ferocious, but still unrefined.

Frieza, now slightly intrigued by Broly's raw potential, continued to taunt him. "Is this all you've got? I expected more from such a so-called legendary Saiyan," he said with a mocking laugh, dodging a powerful kick that caused the ground to erupt.

Broly, enraged by Frieza's words, roared as his power spiked once again. His strength continued to grow with every passing second, but the lack of control made him predictable. Frieza could easily read his moves, countering with precision and evading every strike.

With a flick of his tail, Frieza slammed Broly into the ground once more, creating a massive crater that spread across the barren landscape. Broly struggled to rise, his breathing heavy, his vision blurry from the relentless assault.

Frieza landed softly beside him, crossing his arms as he stared down at the broken Saiyan. "You might have potential, Broly, but without control, you're just a beast," he remarked coldly.

Despite the immense pain, Broly refused to stay down. He pushed himself to his feet once more, his eyes burning with rage, determined to fight until the very end. But deep down, he knew that Frieza was toying with him, and that realization stung more than any physical blow.

Frieza, bored with the one-sided battle, sighed and flicked his wrist. "Enough of this game. Let's see if you survive what's coming next," he said, raising his finger toward the sky, gathering ki for a final, decisive blow.

Broly, desperate to protect his father and himself, prepared for the oncoming attack, even though he knew it might be more than he could handle. The gap between him and Frieza was immense, and no amount of raw power seemed to close it.
