Ron decided he needed to showcase his powers to gain popularity, hoping fame and fortune would follow. Taking Meng Jun along, he returned to his former workplace. When they arrived, security guards stopped Meng Jun at the entrance.
"Don't stop; go straight to the main office. Ignore everyone—you'll see, they'll kneel before us," Ron said.
As Meng Jun walked in, everyone he passed began to kneel, overwhelmed by Ron's intimidating aura. By the time Meng Jun reached the manager's office, a crowd of workers had gathered, with some even calling the police. Seeing this, Meng Jun began to feel anxious.
"Don't worry about the police," Ron reassured him. "They only protect corruption. I'll tell them what they need to hear, and if they still don't listen, they'll pay for defending the guilty."
The manager approached Meng Jun. "Why are you here? You've already been fired. And what sorcery is this—everyone kneeling as you walk by?"
"Meng Jun was fired because of the bribes you took," Ron interrupted. "Did you think he wouldn't find out? He's here to claim compensation for being unjustly dismissed after just a year."
The manager sneered. "Who are you to make demands? I've never seen you before. Who the hell do you think you are?"
"I'm Ron," he replied calmly. "I used to work here but was fired for calling out trash like you who take bribes. Now, I've returned as a god's envoy—not to kill, but for justice. But if you provoke me, I won't hesitate to act."
Just then, the police arrived, drawing their guns on Ron and Meng Jun.
"Hands up! Don't move!" one officer shouted. "You trespassed by force. You're under arrest."
Ron scoffed. "I couldn't care less about your so-called authority. I'm here for justice—and maybe to show off a bit and gain some fame." He turned to Meng Jun. "Get your phone and start recording everything. Go live. Let everyone see the cozy relationship between the police and the corrupt."
"Stop right there! If you move, we'll shoot!" the officer warned. As Meng Jun began to go live, one officer fired a shot at him.
In a split second, Ron sliced the bullet mid-air. "If any of you try that again, I'll cut off your hands. Anyone with a family or children should think twice before crossing me."
One officer hesitated, but others aimed and fired. The bullets hit Ron's Qi barrier and fell harmlessly to the ground. Shocked, some police officers backed away as Ron released his bloodlust, his aura intensifying.
With his power now at its peak, everyone in the room except Meng Jun began to tremble under the immense pressure.
Police officers and workers alike knelt, unable to breathe, and some even lost consciousness.
"Ron, that's enough," Meng Jun said urgently. "Any more, and they might die."
"Alright, that'll do," Ron replied, withdrawing his aura. "I've got limited time left anyway. This is my last day here, so let's make it count."
The police and the workers, stunned by Ron's overwhelming power, dared not interfere any further, now understanding that they were dealing with something far beyond their control.
Ron decided to visit his parents' graves.
Standing by their headstones, he took a deep breath and, with a determined look, destroyed them, knowing that his mother and father were still alive somewhere within the tower.
"When the time is right," he muttered, "I'll find them in the tower."
With this goal in mind, he realized he needed to see Meng Jun once more before departing.
"What happened? Why are you like this?" Meng Jun asked, sensing Ron's tension.
Ron glanced at him, unfazed by the rumors swirling around. "People are divided—some think it's all fake, others believe it's real. But it doesn't matter.
I'm going to the tower, and only those who are worthy can pass through the gate."
So everyone is gonna see me entering the gate, but no one can get through it.
With ease, Ron made his way to the center of Seoul.
He opened the gate, knowing full well that the world was watching, and as he stepped forward, people began recording the scene online.
"Goodbye, Ron," Meng Jun whispered, knowing he might never see his friend again.
Ron disappeared through the gate, leaving an uproar behind.
Meng Jun, meanwhile, found that Ron had left him a parting gift—a lower-grade cultivation technique imprinted in his memory.
Though it lacked great potential, the technique strengthened Meng Jun, setting his life on a new path.
As Ron continued his journey alone, no one else stood at his level of power, and his adventure pressed on, guided by the unyielding purpose within him.
