As Harry prepared noodles, he washed a few cabbage leaves, adding soy sauce and a small piece of pork fat to the bowl. He looked over at the Sparrow Cat and spoke casually.
"Go on, keep hiding things if you want. Why bother telling me anything, right? Weren't you planning to run? So, why are you still here?"
"I'm not hiding anything. Ask, and I'll tell you," the Sparrow Cat replied, blinking innocently.
Last night, it had considered running away multiple times. But in the end, it didn't.
After thinking it over carefully, it had come to a conclusion. Harry's warnings didn't seem like mere tricks; if he'd been telling the truth about Chandler's capabilities and connections to the Blazing Sun Division, then Chandler's own father was likely just another one of his victims, brainwashed and deceived. If Chandler would betray his father, why wouldn't he betray a mere Sparrow Cat?
Compared to that risk, sticking close to Harry didn't seem so bad.
