Chapter 21 - Healing.

"What do you think?" Kim Hannah asked Yun Seora who was a little surprised by what she was alluding to.

"I can be fixed?" Yun Seora asked after blinking rapidly a few times to keep her tears in. Her mostly hollow eyes suddenly had a spark of life in them.

"Yes." Kim Hannah nodded, her expression softening a bit.

"What do I need to do?"

"Sinyoung will take care of the costs for the treatment, but…"

"But?" Yun Seora asked softly while I became intrigued about what price they would extract from her for it too.

"But your departments will be taken over by Yun Seohui since the President is unhappy with your performance over here."

Yun Seora didn't even think for a second before she nodded, "Alright."

'I guess she really doesn't want to remain so weak anymore.'

That was when Kim Hannah turned to me, "What do you want to do now? Do you need time to prepare?"

I looked at Yun Seora and noticed the worry in her eyes before turning to Agnes, "Could you knock her out so that she won't wake up even if she is stabbed to death?"

Agnes nodded.

"Wha-"

*snap*

Before Yun Seora could even finish her words Agnes was already behind her and with a simple chop to her neck she fell unconscious, landing in Agnes's arms like a princess.

"Just lay her on the sofa, I'll work on her right arm while she's asleep."

Agnes helped place Yun Seora on the sofa and I knelt beside her.

Carefully studying the condition of her crippled right hand for a few minutes I analysed her wounds.

After a preliminary glance, I quickly formed hand seals to allow my hand to be covered in a greenish hue. I placed it on Yun Seora's hand and began to scan the arm for all the damage it had been through.

'Huh…'

'It looks like someone stabbed a knife into her hand and twisted it around for a good while.'

'And while the wound has healed on its own, her nerves have reattached and healed in all the wrong ways. It is probably why she feels pain whenever she attempts to move her hand.'

'Hmmm…'

This is going to be a little tough to heal with my current skills but it isn't impossible.

"When will I get the first half of my payment?" I asked Kim Hannah.

"I only have a little bit of money right now, but I promise to give you the rest as soon as possible. You have Cinzia's right-hand woman by your side, so you can be assured I won't cheat you out of any money."

"And when will this as soon as possible be?"

"It's hard to enter Neutral Zone, so I'll be able to give it to you on graduation day?"

"So much for half before treatment and half after treatment. Do you even have anything to give me right now?" I asked with a skeptical look.

Kim Hannah nodded and pulled out a platinum coin, "I only have a single platinum coin…"

"And you said they don't grow on trees."

I quickly snatched the coin and stuffed it into my pocket before turning to Agnes.

"Agnes, do you have a knife or a kunai or something?"

Agnes looked at me for a second before she shook her head and pulled out a small knife from her pockets.

I grabbed it and was about to dissect Yun Seora's arm open but Kim Hannah held my shoulder.

"Are you sure this will work?"

"Hm~m. I'm sure I can fix it. It'll take a little bit of time though."

Kim Hannah looked into my eyes for a bit before nodding, "Alright. Carry on. If you make the situation worse, just remember you won't have a good time in Paradise."

"Tsk. Way to help me calm my nerves before such a major operation." I complained but quickly went back to working on Yun Seora's hand.

Using the sharp edge, I performed a slow, deliberate and clear-cut to open the insides of her arm.

Once I made cuts along her previous scars, the true mess inside her hand was revealed.

Agnes frowned when she saw the mess while Kim Hannah flinched.

I looked at the mess and there was only one thought on my mind, "This is going to take a long time."

Soon, using the knife Agnes handed over to me, I began to cut out the mangled bits and pieces of flesh in Yun Seora's hand and placed them on the table beside us.

Slowly, there were more bits and pieces of flesh on the table beside us than in Yun Seora's arm.

But true to my steady hands, I was able to avoid damaging any large blood vessels and the minor ones I did, I quickly sealed away using the simple healing jutsu so that the work area wouldn't turn into a mess.

Once all of the 'bad' flesh was extracted. I pulled her left arm closer.

I used the same jutsu to scan her left hand once again and developed a mental picture of exactly how her right arm should look.

After studying it for a sufficient amount of time, I began to use the simple healing jutsu to reconstruct her arm. It took a long time, and I had to re-study her left arm multiple times but eventually after about an hour or so of continuous focused work, I was done.

The final cut on Yun Seora's arm was completely healed and under the gazes of Kim Hannah and Agnes, I stood up and collapsed into the sofa behind myself.

"It's done."

"All that's left is to wake her up and see if she can control her arm like normal this time, without any pain. She'll have to work on the arm a little though, since it will no longer have any muscle memory. It might feel a little funky at first because of that, but it'll be fine in about a week or so."

Kim Hannah looked at the pieces of flesh on the table and frowned.

"And what about those?"

"I dunno? Give it to her as a keepsake? Or feed it to dogs? Or some bird like a crow? What do you want me to do with it?" I said with a deadpan stare.

Kim Hannah not one to take my sarcastic remark lying down was about to answer but that was when we all heard a sound.

"Arghhh…"

It was Yun Seora, she was waking up.

'The timing couldn't have been better.'

Kim Hannah helped her up and once Yun Seora was fully awake she looked around to reorient herself before her eyes fell on the pieces of flesh on the table as she remembered.

"My hand!!" Yun Seora shouted as she brought her right hand to inspect.

She clenched and unclenched her fist and tried pushing on her arm to feel her muscles moving around as her eyes slowly widened.

"It's fixed?"

"Well, only you'll have the answer to that question.", I spoke softly seeing how Yun Seora was on the verge of tears.

"It doesn't hurt anymore…"

Everyone stayed silent because they all noticed the tears filling up Yun Seora's eyes and streaking down her face.

She looked like she'd just walked out of a terrible dream. As if the world had just become a little brighter as if she'd just been filled with fresh life.

Kim Hannah turned towards me and sent a polite bow my way, "Thank you."

Yun Seora snapped out of her joyful sorrow and looked at me before rushing to me and grabbing my hands, "Thank you! Thank you so much!!!"

I nodded and managed to extract my hands from her gentle grip and spoke calmly, "It's alright. I didn't do it for free anyways so there's no reason for you to worry about anything."

I then turned to Kim Hannah and spoke calmly, "I'd like it if you would give me the rest of my payment as soon as possible."

Kim Hannah nodded and spoke calmly, "You'll have the rest on graduation day."

With that I left the room, leaving Kim Hannah and Agnes to handle the aftermath of my actions and give Yun Seora a little bit of privacy since I could see her barely holding back her tears from bawling out like the child she was.
