In the outskirts of Vind are unfinished and abandoned construction sites. In the depths of these abandoned sites a multitude of scars can be seen lining the ground and unfinished pillars. The scars can be traced into a dismembered and scorched body whose appearance is unrecognizable due to the damage it had sustained.
The pool of blood beneath the carcass have parts of it turned into charred clots. Whatever happened in here it is out of the norm.
Whoosh...thud...
The sound of something rushing through the air can be heard, a resounding thud echoed out as it landed. The source of the sound being a lanky man with a thin sword on his waist.
The man crouched down and touched the body and the pool of blood. He frowns as he feels that the body is still warm and that the blood still has some residual heat.
"The body is still warm while the blood seems to have just started to cool down. He could not have left long from this area." He mutters, he seems to be tracking something or someone.
He stands up, taking a look at the surroundings to find any clues as to which direction the target went to. He takes out a pair of googles and wears it over his eyes. He tapped the side of the googles a few times to activate the thermal tracking.
"There it is. I'll reach you this time just you wait." The lanky man says with a toothy grin on his face.
The lanky man takes out a small radio of sorts before he turned it on.
"The target is moving north east towards the Soaran Forest. The target is most likely chasing some Sin as well. Head in that area and we'll rendezvous in 10 minutes." The lanky man orders as he starts running, his speed is akin to a sports car running at 90 mph.
And the night turns quiet.

Growl...
A beastly growl rang out in the depths of the Soaran Forest. The source of the sound is a 5 meter tall tiger, it's claws is suffused with swirling winds. It's fur is of deep green and azure blue, on its head is three horns that causes a constant blast of sharp wind to erupt from the tiger.
It should be a terrifying beast to encounter and death is the only thing that comes after it. But that supposed terrifying entity is riddled with wounds from small cuts and large gashes all over it's body.
And sometimes the light of the moon just shines at the right angle, you can see a glint of a blade from some of the wounds.
Whoosh...
A sudden gust of winds erupted behind the running beast, hitting it right on its left hind. The tiger yelped with pain as it stumbled down, causing it to roll on the ground due to the momentum of its sprint.
The beast hurriedly tries to stand up, not daring to stay down for more than a second. It continued in its mad dash away from where it had crashed down. Wherever it is running to does not matter as long as it manages to escape.
Whoosh...whoosh...whoosh
Three more gusts of wind rushes toward the beast as it desperately tries to avoid each one. The beast avoids the first one by jumping to the right causing the ground where it once were to explode into a cloud of dust. The second gust of wind managed to graze the back of the beast but it did not cause it to stumble like earlier.
The third gust of wind is getting dangerously close to the neck of the beast before it released a roar that pushed anything within 5 meters around it away. This bought some time for the beast to gain more distance from its pursuer.
Thud...
A soft thud can be heard on top the tree branches as a lone figure can be seen standing on top of it. The man's clothes is made to reflect light to simulate an invisible cloak that would hide him from his targets.
Inside his cloak dozens upon dozens of blades can be seen lining his chest, waist and the inside of his cloak. By the back of his waist lies two large daggers made of unknown metal.
"You won't get away from me." He mutters as he crouches down.
The man then jumps from the branch towarda the fleeing beast. The beast, having heard the sound of rushing wind, turned only to see the azure blade of a dagger.

In a clearing inside the Soaran Forest a group of cloaked individuals can be seen. They consists of 3 women and 5 men, nine individuals in total.
Whoosh...
With a thud the lanny man lands near the group. He walks over to one of the women who is talking with one of the men.
"The target is here, we will have to be careful as he is known to be cautious of strangers." The lanky man says to the two as he gives a nod towards the other man.
The man who was talking with the woman nods back as he touches his ring. The woman on the other hand is unbothered, even checking her nails.
"Sigh... Can you please take this seriously Korin? The boss will deduct more of our pay if we mess up." The lanky man chides the woman.
"He won't dare to do so, if he does my grandfather's still around to scold him for me." Korin snarkly says.
"Let's just get on with it Ossian, Korin." The other man remarks as he walks away.
The lanky man, Ossian, rolls his eyes as he walks with Grant, the man whoever was talking with Korin earlier. Korin follows them this time with a more professional attitude.
The group runs through the depths of the forest looking for traces of their target. They split up a bit for 5 minutes before the sound of a whistle rang out.
The group once again regrouped to the source of the whistle. It was Korin who had used the whistle, she points toward the ground as everyone looked over.
On the ground a faint scar caused by something sharp can be seen. Along with the scar are drops of blood.
The group followed the blood trail for 10 minutes before they reached a hidden cottage. The cottage is made out of the trunks of the surrounding trees with its roof being made of hardened mud and thatch.
There is no light emanating from inside the house. Ossian and Grant shared a look and started to walk toward the cottage. When they were 10 meters away from the cottage Korin called out to Ossian, pointing behind the cottage.
The group silently walked towards the back of the cottage. As they get closer the sound of beastial roars and winds can be heard. When they finally walked past the cottage a deep pit can be seen.
Inside the pit are dozens of Bestial and Humanoid Sins. And with them is a single man. He wields azure daggers, weaving through the group of Sins like they were children. His attacks are deliberately made to be non-lethal but painful.
Whatever he is doing it is not him who is trapped with the Sins rather they are trapped in there with him.
It did not take long for the man to take care of the Sins. When the last of the Sins died, the man turned toward the group led by Ossian as he sat on top of the dead Sin.
"What do you want? I would have killed you guys if you had done something suspicious." The man said calmly, his eyes unwavering.
"I am Ossian of the Slayer Corps. I have been sent here to extend an invitation for you to join us. If you join us we will help you with whatever you want." Ossian introduces himself before taking out an envelope from inside his cloak.
"But if you want to join us, you will be first sent to the Academy. Slayer Corps Mandate." Ossian continued as he flicks the envelope toward the man.
The man catches the envelope as he opens it. The man frowns as he saw something that should only be known by him.
"Where do I go?" The man asks after a while.
"Come with us first, the boss will tell you the rest." Ossian smiles.
"Welcome to the Corps, Laiven. " Ossian says as he walks away.
