Chapter 9 - Chapter 9: You have three months

"Never," Sofia said with gritted teeth and stood up from her seat and walked into the restaurant walking towards Liam table.

James smiled with amusement, waiting to see what would happen next. He entered the restaurant and found a good spot to sit.

As Sofia approached Liam's table, her anger and jealousy simmered just below the surface.

"I really miss you, Mr. Liam. This is fate. Thanks for saving me back then," the girl said happily, holding Liam's arm and gazing adoringly at his beautiful, stunning appearance. Liam's white skin and chiseled features made him look like a work of art.

"Dreamboat, what are you doing?" Sofia's voice cut through the air, laced with venom and possessiveness.

Liam and the girl were startled, looking up to meet Sofia's deadly gaze.

Liam's stunning face turned cold and terrifying, his eyes flashing with warning.

"My dreamboat," Sofia whispered, her voice trembling. It was the first name she had given him when they newly met, saying he was her dream come true because of his calm and stunning appearance.

Liam's fists clenched tightly, his jaw tensing.

Lisa walked towards them and sat down behind Liam, looking at him angrily. "Why are you here with this Jezebel, leaving me at home while you know I want you so badly? Are you cheating on me?" Lisa questioned, her eyes red with rage.

Liam's face turned black with anger making him speechless.

James chuckled," because of Liam cold and speechless ugly expression.

"Me, Jezebel?" Emma said, her eyes turning red with anger, but she held back, looking at Liam with her innocent eyes. However, Liam didn't look at her or say anything; he remained expressionless.

Lisa took Liam's slender, beautiful fingers. Liam tried to push her away, but she held him tighter, putting Liam's fingers in her mouth. Everyone's eyes widened, including James, who was hiding in the corner.

Emma's eyes turned red with tears.

Liam took his hand back forcefully.

Sofia licked her lips. "Not bad," she said, looking at Emma coldly. "Don't you know he's my boyfriend, and you're still here?"

"Sofia!" Liam shouted, his voice cold.

Emma stood up from her seat with a bang, her tears spinning down her pretty face. "I'm sorry," she said and ran away.

"Come back here, Emma!" Liam called out, but she had already disappeared from their sight.

Sofia glared at him with a killing intent.

"What are you doing here?" Liam asked her coldly, his patience running out.

Sofia looked at him innocently, like a good daughter. "To see you and end this blind date."

"What gives you the right?" he asked coldly, holding back his anger.

"I gave myself the right," Sofia replied.

Liam looked at her with blazing gaze. "I like her, and I will be with her. She is better and more innocent and good-hearted than you. Let today's incident be a mistake."

He grabbed her wrist. "If you try it next time or dare to harm her in any way, I will not hesitate to end your life."

Sofia cried out; her wrist was about to break. She tried to break free, but Liam's grip tightened even more.

She looked at him. "You can kill me, as far as I'm still alive and breathing, I will continue causing trouble for them. I love you, Liam, and no one can take my place. You only belong to me."

Liam's was stoned by her words and regain his composure, he released his grip on her wrist, his expression unreadable. He stood up and walked away coldly.

Sofia kept her head on the table, helpless, and cried bitterly. Her heart filled with pain, her mind filled with regret and past mistakes. She bit her lips tightly to feel pain.

James came out of the corner and walked towards her. " Sofia " he called out, patting her back. "If you want to get our third master back, you have to try harder. As you can see, he's already slipping away from you. If you waste any more time, you will lose him forever."

James whispered to her before turning and walking away.

Sofia lifted her head, tears streaming down her face. She gazed at James's retreating figure, his words echoing in her mind.

She took a deep breath, determination burning within. Sofia wiped her tears, her eyes blazing with resolve.

"I won't lose him," Sofia whispered to herself. "I'll do whatever it takes."

Sofia stood up, her eyes scanning the restaurant. She spotted Jame's figure in the distance, walking away.

Without hesitation, Sofia followed him.

As she walked, a plan began to form in her mind.

in Liam company.

Liam sat calmly in his sleek, modern office, listening intently to his father's angry words on the other end of the line. His office, located on the top floor of the company's high-rise building, exuded power and sophistication.

The room was spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a breathtaking view of the city skyline. The walls were painted a crisp white, complemented by rich, and elegant furnishings.

Behind Liam's desk, a stunning cityscape photograph adorned the wall, while a smaller frame held a simple, yet elegant, image of his family.

His large, desk was immaculately organized, with a few strategically placed papers and a sleek, silver pen holder. A black leather chair, adorned with subtle stitching, provided comfort and support as Liam leaned back.

To his left, a polished glass bookshelf stood tall, lined with volumes on business, economics, and philosophy. A smaller, adjacent shelf displayed a few carefully selected art pieces and sculptures.

The atmosphere was serene, with soft, warm lighting illuminating the space. Liam's calm demeanor seemed to mirror the tranquil ambiance, his focused expression a testament to his unwavering professionalism.

As he listened to his father's words, Liam's eyes narrowed slightly, his grip on the phone tightening.

"What do you mean, Father?" Liam asked, his deep voice measured and controlled.

"If you don't get married soon, Liam, I will make sure I disown you and know I never have a son!" his father yelled. "You spoiled brat, I will destroy and take everything from you, since you don't want to get married and give me grandchildren that will take over the company and inherit the wealth you've made, you bastard!"

Liam's eyes flashed with anger, his jaw clenching as he listened to his father's tirade.

"I understand your concerns, Father," Liam said, his voice icy and measured, "but threatening me won't change my mind. I'll marry when I'm ready, not because of ultimatums."

His father's voice grew louder, more venomous.

"You ungrateful child! I've given you everything, and this is how you repay me? You'll do as I say, or suffer the consequences! You're not too old to be disinherited, Liam!"

Liam's grip on the phone tightened.

"I'm not a child, Father," he said, his tone firm. "I'll make my own decisions, including when and who I marry."

The line went silent, heavy with tension.

"Fine," his father spat. "You have three months. Find a suitable wife and produce an heir, or you'll lose everything."

The line went dead.

Liam slammed the phone down, his eyes blazing with fury.

He gritted his teeth, his eyes blazing with fury.

His assistant, Timothy, walked in, unaware of the storm brewing. "Young Master, the—"

When he saw Liam's cold face, looking at him with a killing intent gaze, cold ran down his spine. Timothy's eyes widened, and he missed his balance, falling to the ground.

"Forgive me, Young Master, for coming at the wrong time," Timothy stammered, prostrating himself.

Liam's gaze lingered on Timothy for a moment before he took a deep breath, composing himself.

"Get up, Timothy," Liam said, his voice still icy. "What is it?"

Timothy scrambled to his feet, trembling. "Y-Young Master, the meeting with the investors is scheduled for 2 PM today."

Liam nodded curtly. "I'll be there."

Timothy hesitated before bowing and quickly exiting the room.

Liam's thoughts returned to his father's ultimatum, his anger simmering.
