He took a step closer, his voice dropping to a murmur. "I don't think I could misunderstand you if I tried."
Her breath caught for just a moment, but she quickly masked it with a tilt of her chin. "Well, as long as we're clear." She said dismissively while looking at the magazine lying on the coffee table but as she looked away, she couldn't shake the feeling of his gaze still fixed on her.
''Your Highness, you stated your rules but did not ask for mine.''
His words made her lift her head to look at him again. Did he have something to add too?
However, the man did not speak up immediately under her curious gaze. Instead, he walked in the direction of his room before he came back with a thin cashmere blanket. He uttered an 'excuse me' again and draped that blanket on her body. Then, he lifted her up in his arms again.
