The morning sun filled the Avengers base.
~Wanda's room~
Chu Mo slowly woke up. He looked at the time on his wrist.
'Gotham City: 48 hours, 45 minutes, 32 seconds!'
"Time is running out; I must complete the mission as soon as possible!"
If he failed, the Marvel World would completely isolate him. Chu Mo put on his clothes and walked out of the room.
There was a hammer emblem on the door of the room next to his. It must be Thor's room.
'Knock, knock, knock!'
Thor's voice came from behind the door. After a moment, the door opened slightly.
"Is something wrong?" Thor asked cautiously.
"Aren't you going to invite me in?" Chu Mo asked confused. What was this guy up to?
"Um... it's a little awkward right now," Thor replied, embarrassed.
"You're a grown man, why all the secrecy?" Chu Mo rolled his eyes and pushed open the door.
Suddenly, everything in the room came into view. Chu Mo noticed a crumpled handkerchief on the floor and immediately understood Thor's hesitation.
"Damn, I did not expect this guy to be so... resourceful," Chu Mo thought with a grin.
Thor wished he could disappear into the ground. "How embarrassing!" he thought. "If this gets out... how will I face anyone on Earth?"
But Chu Mo had no interest in that. He came straight to the point.
"Do you know how to get to Helheim?"
"Huh?" Thor looked surprised. "I know of it..."
"Do you know how to get in?" Chu Mo pressed, feeling a wave of hope.
Thor looked at him hesitantly. Helheim was forbidden in Asgard, a place as sacred as Valhalla.
After death, Asgardians went either to Valhalla or Helheim - both resting places for the dead.
"This guy's not going to disturb my ancestors' graves, is he?" Thor thought.
"Don't worry, I'm not interested in your family's graves," Chu Mo replied, reading his thoughts directly.
"What the..." Thor muttered in surprise.
"I, uh, I don't know," Thor said, stiffly avoiding eye contact. But as he said it, he accidentally thought of the coordinates to enter Helheim.
"Got it!" Chu Mo said and turned to leave.
He had read Thor's mind and now knew the method. There were three ways to enter Helheim:
First, Get Odin's permission and teleport in.
Second, Rescue someone in Helheim with the consent of the undead.
Third, Use the coordinates of Helheim to break through directly.
Since Odin's whereabouts were unknown, the first method was out. He didn't know any undead, so the second was out. The third method was his best choice.
Chu Mo opened a portal and appeared on a seaside cliff. The sky was blue, seagulls were flying, and fish were swimming below.
Then Chu Mo noticed an old man in a leather jacket sitting on the edge of the cliff, gazing at the sea.
"Odin?" Chu Mo asked timidly.
The old man turned around, revealing white hair and an eyepatch.
"You know me?" Odin asked.
"Yes!" Chu Mo approached. "The famous Lord of the Nine Realms, King of Asgard. I've heard a lot about you!" he joked.
Odin watched Chu Mo closely. "You may say that, but I sense a strong desire to fight in you."
"Why not? How about some practice?" Chu Mo grinned, eager for a worthy opponent.
"Not interested," Odin replied flatly, sensing a destructive force in Chu Mo that made him uneasy. He didn't have many years left, and he didn't want to risk it.
Chu Mo sighed and lost his enthusiasm. "Boring."
"Yes, very," Odin replied dryly.
"You old man!" Chu Mo muttered, amused. But there was nothing more to say.
He decided to come to the point. "I have to go to Helheim. Any objections?"
When Odin heard Helheim, his fingers twitched slightly.
"No objections."
"Strange," Chu Mo thought, reading Odin's mind but getting nothing in return.
"I am going to find Hela," Chu Mo added, hoping to gauge Odin's reaction. Odin's face darkened.
"Are you going to kill her?"
"No," Chu Mo replied.
"Then are you going to save her?" Odin frowned.
"No," Chu Mo repeated, leaving Odin confused.
"Then what are you going to do?"
"I don't know," Chu Mo admitted. He really didn't know how to complete his mission.
Odin, obviously intrigued, asked, "What is the reason?"
"I want to solve your family conflict. Will that work?" Chu Mo finally replied.
"Hah!" Odin chuckled. "You think you can solve my family's conflicts? You're overestimating yourself!"
"Come on, I have the strength and the skill," Chu Mo said, smiling.
Odin sighed and shook his head. He'd met stubborn people before, but Chu Mo was on a different level.
"If you don't mind, I'll be on my way," Chu Mo said, summoning his Chaos power.
He released a powerful energy blast into the air.
A stone door with the words Helheim engraved on it appeared.
Chu Mo pushed the door open and stepped inside.
It was foggy inside, and the landscape was dark and eerie. All the trees and plants were pitch black.
"Hehehe, a human!"
"It's been so long since I've tasted one. I'm starving!"
"I want its brain, the tastiest part!"
"I want the thighs, they're the juiciest!"
"The liver is mine!"
"But the soul... that's the best part!"
A swarm of skeletons and undead emerged from the fog, bony claws lashing out at Chu Mo.
"Get out of my way!" Chu Mo commanded, waving his fingers. A powerful wave of energy erupted, instantly dissolving the undead spirits. The dark mist dissipated.
In the center of Helheim, on a throne made of bones, Hela's eyelids twitched. She stood, sensing Chu Mo's presence.
"How many years has it been since a human dared to come here?" she murmured, a sinister smile spreading across her face.
